No. The cheapest tier is $5 to $9.99 and NES games are $4.99, so they're too cheap. You could grab one of the games on sale whose MSRP is on that tier (Another World or Swords & Soldiers) that counts despite what you're technically paying for it.

No, unfortunately. NES games are $4.99, while the lowest tier is $5.00-$9.99.

Oh, this worked out for me. I bought MK8 during the spring sale, and that got me enough coins for the DLC reward. I just finished getting 3 stars in all the cups up to Mirror, haven't started 200cc. $42 for the full game and 1 DLC? S'alright.

Although, I can see how it can be disappointing for others that weren't late adopters like me.

I here ya, 3 months in, I have over 2000 platinum points plus 40 gold points, and still have yet to get anything from My Nintendo... I used and enjoyed Club Nintendo a lot more.

Only have a Wii U and already own everything there I'd be interested in, plus it's only % off anyway no full games for Wii U only 3DS. Knew I should have just got the Warioware 3DS game and sold/traded/gave it to someone; anyone interested in the Zelda Picross or 3DS themes?

I dislike that the coins expire. I wish I could stockpile them.  I also loathe that Nintendo doesn't have a cross buy system where you buy a digital game and it unlocks on wii/wii u/3DS but that's a separate issue for another day.

They do have Cross Buy. They just don't use it outside of one or two of their own games.

Club Nintendo's rewards weren't much better. A handful of Mario games (and Link to the Past) that cycled in and out with a bunch of physical rewards that nobody wanted. Do you people seriously miss Hanafuda Cards and postcards that much?

Cool thing about Boxboxboy is that all of the costumes transfer over, so you should get all of them in the first game to be able to rock the Legendary King outfit the entire time.

Yeah; I didn't even mind doing surveys. It gets repetitious, but it helps if you do a bunch of them at once instead of every time you get a game. And you were also giving direct feedback and voicing your concerns straight to the company, on a regular basis (those that took the surveys seriously, that is).

I told them to stop ing around with Picross games and give them the respect they deserve, but they're still ing around with them. The surveys were worthless.

They were a way to get people to buy the games, redeem the codes, and then forget to do the surveys to get the rest of your points. It was especially annoying when there were long droughts of nothing noteworthy being added to spend those points.

I wasn't around when Club Nintendo was a thing. The last two Nintendo consoles I had were the SNES and Gamecube (that's right, no N64) so I missed out on many games; the Virtual Console should take care of that.

Now what to do with my 50 gold coins and 760 platinum points.

For a company that seems so clueless 99% of the time, they could have used those surveys to actually get information that they could have used to better their business. Sadly, that would have made to much sense, and of course they could never do that.

They probably did in the beginning, but then 90% of the surveys were likely childish complaints or jibberish so they stopped paying attention. When you get hundreds of thousands of surveys and all but 0.5% of them are garbage, you're probably not going to bother with them.
