No More Skyrim DLC

Whelp, not surprised, honestly. The good thing is that means I don't have to worry about getting any more DLC for Skyrim since I have all of the rest of it.
Good news because that means a GOTY edition should be out soon with ALL of the DLC.
The earliest I'd expect it would be this coming holiday. Obviously that will be full price for a while. The base game maintained a high price for an entire year.

This. Quick, stop the presses.

The more important part of this story is this mysterious new title that they are focusing on. Fallout 4? More ES? Maybe something new? I'm kinda hoping for Fallout 4.

It's Fallout 4 and it takes place in the Boston area.

Supposedly the guy on Reddit who started that rumor has since said he made it all up. Still, I want to believe in a Boston setting, with perhaps some Maine DLC. Maybe some kind of Bioshock Infinite crossover.

TBH I'm a bit surprised about this. When they released Skyrim they said they would do a less DLC but it would be big stuff (no horse armor). IIRC all they released was a "build 3 houses" small DLC pack, the vampire moderate sized DLC pack, and of course dragonborn - the big one. I kind of expected 1 more dragonborn sized DLC pack.

I can't help but wonder if the whole PS3 debacle kinda took the piss out of them both in terms of morale and resource focus as well as general funding. As in they spent so much time putting-out fires and paying for cert that a final big DLC just wasn't feasible.

It's funny because DLC nowadays used to be free mods from the community. I couldn't care less because I don't support any DLC that's not free.

Bethesda games still fully support modding.

I understand hating a lotta companies for DLC but Bethesda is kinda silly considering how gigantic their games are and their support for the mod community.

No modding for consoles, so 2/3 of the players are out of luck. Not cool. Should of had 1 or more DLC.

Yeah, but they also used to put out proper expansions too, not this bite-sized stuff. They usually added entire continents or islands to the world map for exploration. Now it's more like new skins, skills, and quests.

I'd prefer the former and let modders take care of the latter.

Well, if anyone is interested. go to Change.org and sign the petition. I did, it was real quick to register, which was nice. Maybe if enough people sign up, then we can maybe make Bethesda look. Oh, and each time someone signs up a couple emails are sent out to Bethesda's office, I think, which I didn't know online petitions do.
