Now it's down to 30$ good enough?

CAGiversary!
Now that the game looks like it's going to be a universal price drop to 30$ which is looking like a huge flop, i'm tempted to get it now. I'm still weary about the fact that everyone on the game probably has 100,000,000,000,000,000 points. Very tempted....damn X-Men or Lockdown.....tough.

I'll pick it up on release day as long as it's reviews are decent (as long as it doesn't get 5s and isn't a broken game). Loved the others.

There is a online multiplayer demo in this months OXM check it out for yourself! ;) It's a different game than Black Arrow.

I thought the online demo was not that great....I only played it a bit, but the graphics seemed dated on it. I still have it for pre-order.....I may trade it back if I don't like it. Gotta get my 360 credit built up

I've got it on preorder from GR. I played the online demo last month and wasn't really impressed. The graphics do seem very dated and it seems like it is focusing more on run and gun action than Rainbow Six and Black Arrow. I'll probably pick it up anyway, since I could get more in trade than I paid.

If the demo is any indication, it sucks. It sucks a lot.

that's what i keep hearing. i haven't played the demo, but i keep hearing about some new type of 'game-style'. Hopefully this game stays to it's Black Arrow roots, which is probably IMO one of the best online games.

I was really looking forward to this game for a while, but then I began to have my doubts when I heard it was more action-oriented. Now that I saw the review on OXM, I don't think I'll check it out. What a disappointment...

link to review or summary please

I'll probably get it... I'll see what GameSpot has to say, first.

played the demo as well, same impressions.

Graphics look pretty bad for a xbox game, low detail and grainy. Worst of all the framerate is barely passable.... I mean it's playable but considering the graphics it should be much, MUCH smoother.
It's definitely more run and gun (which I like) but as a whole the game is pretty mediocre. I would definitely say play the demo or rent it first.

I've got it prebooked at Rhino.. I love Rhino's "If it sucks, bring it back" policy, sounds like i'll definately keep my expectations low for this one.

They said it was reduced to a run-of-the-mill run-and-gun game that's pretty mediocre. Although, they did say the online mode was pretty fun. Basicly, it's not the old Rainbow Six 3 I used to love, but you might wanna try it anyway.

Depends what reviews say, I may wait a while since far cry is coming out soon and if the pricing on this is like SC:CT it will drop pretty fast.

Oooo, shit. I hope Far Cry turns out good. I had my eye one that one, as well.

Would've been a good game if it came out when it was suspossed to in March. Now it's outdatted. The Online demo would have been better if they had a co-op map. Co-op maps in Rainbow 6 are soo fun.

Seeing as scorch asked for a summary OR a link, he gave a summary.

I'm not trying to threadcrap or insult this game but UbiSoft games drop extremely quickly in price. If you can wait a few weeks this game will be $30 by the end of the month.

I don't see Lockdown in the "Review Roundup" in the October issue. What issue is the review in?

I don't think OXM has reviewed R6:Lockdown yet. I think XboxMaster is referring to the preview in the September issue.

I'm probably gonna trade some bullshit games in a little later today and get it.

Ok. Nevermind. I see how it goes. When they stay "In stores Today!", they really mean "In stores Tomorrow!" How could I be so stupid?

As a fan of Black Arrow and Ghost Recon Summit Strike, I'd say get Summit Strike if you don't have it and wait on a Lockdown price drop if the reviews are good. As someone said, Ubisoft games drop in price pretty quick so there is no reason to play this in a hurry unless you're into online versus. If you're into coop, like I am, you and your friends can wait for that later since you only need a few people anyway. Take the extra twenty bucks and donate to the Red Cross or something.

Got it today at GameCrazy. They gave me Pandora Tomorrow for free with it, which was odd.

is that a ad or what? can i get a link

He's just speculating. I'd give it 5 or 6 months before this game even drops to $40.

that's been the deal for like a month now...buy lockdown, get pandora free

I thought it was if you reserved it.
I thought it was if you reserved it.
It was. They probably had extras. Lucky bastard ;)

Ok, I finally played it....the game is ok, nothing GREAT

The single player is fun actually....pretty much like the other RS games.

LIVE play is another story. I'm not sure if I like it much. The graphics seemed subpar, the gameplay was basicall just run and shoot. They now have a PEC mode where you have to build up your character to unlock certain items. There are 4 classes to choose from, but you cannot change or you will lose all your progress. Also, I did not have a sniper rifle from the outset...you have to be like a level 15 to unlock it on LIVE play.

I probably will trade it in and use the extra cash for a 360.

It's a pretty fun game. I like the whole being able to purchase weapons and tools, and customizing and upgrading your character.

However, is this a sequel to Black Arrow or, like, a revamp of an older Rainbow Six title? The graphics seems like two steps back from the last one... I don't get it.

i bought the last two on release, but in a post halo2 world, its hard to justify it if its just run and gun. there would have to be a little more strategy and steatlh to make me pick this up.

Im sure I'll at least give it a rental though, I have to see if my patented "Anti-WildWop Hit Detection(TM)" hack works as well in this game as it did the last two.

I would love to get this game and I would of gotten this game if they went with the original launch date. But it is to late now because I sold my xbox for a 360 preorder. Hopefully someday I can get this game, because the Tom Clancy games are some of the best games out there.

I picked it up yesterday and returned it today. The game is totally different from the original RB6 and RB6BA.

I wanted to try it out and give it a chance after the bad OXM demo.

The AI in this game is the dumbest I have ever scene and you can not change the diffuctly for online co-op games (terrorist hunt / mission).

I might pick it up later at a discount later and give it a longer chance but I did not want to waste my initial credit on this game and transfered it to 360.
I picked it up yesterday and returned it today. The game is totally different from the original RB6 and RB6BA.
Yeah. It's extremely different. It feels more like Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six mated; Ghost Recon being the predominant gene.

I'm still not sure what my final verdict is...

However, I'm sad that I sould Black Arrow to get some credit towards this title -- t'was a good game.
