I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

Digital Devil Saga 1, and Atlus was selling it on their website in their company store, now its sold out.

I didn't know about the other sale (Thursday) at the time i was there so i am not really sure about the other stuff. There green tags were pretty much picked over but they still had a lot of good stuff at normal prices.

I wouldnt lose any money since the 3 games I want to price match will be sealed until thursday, if this doesnt pan out, back they go, no problem... I still have my nice MK DS I picked up there today(with freebies), and a stack of 8 other DS games I had sitting around for the day I got a DS

It goes on the CC anyway, and I am NOWHERE near reaching the limit on that

And on the DDS saga... I did notice when the game was scanned that the PROMO wording came up on the register along with the other games I picked up from the list, not that it means anything, but it could be a sign that it is the version to be reduced

Did notice a stack of GCN Wariowares when I got done checking out, might have to get that when I price adjust thursday
 
Question: how do we price match if the items aren't advertised? I know it's clearance stuff but usually, they just advertise items as being on clearance without listing everything.

Just go to customer service and say you know/think the items you purchased have had a price reduction... they'll type in the code for the games you're asking about, and it will tell them their price, which they will adjust accordingly.

When do the price adjustments typically happen in TRU's computers? At 8am on Thursday morning, will the prices be active? Do some TRUs download prices at dfferent times?

I was also wondering about this since ideally I'll be stopping by before work Thursday morning, which is going to be about 8am, and I'm on the east coast so it's unlikely we'll have any posts on it yet.
 
It's funny, the Atlus title on that list I really want is Samurai Western. I picked up DDS back when it came back (tho if I do luck up on a copy Thurs. it will make an excellent last-minute gift for a friend - if not, oh well). But I've held off on SW since I heard mixed results on it. And being an Atlus title, it seems to be disappearing rather than dropping in price. I know my TRU still had it a few weeks back, so here's hoping I can land that one. I have some more I'd like, naturally, but strangely enough that's the big one for me. ;)

It's way too late, I woke up to this already being on two different forums about 12 hours ago along with the full list, so it's a total moot point now, and even if we pulled it we'd just have members constantly asking for it or PM'ing people. What's done is done.

Just checked out my local TRU. Only things of note there (IMO) were Pikmin 2 + FF 1+2. When doing price adjustments does it have to be at the same Toys R Us you bought the game at? I want to check out some TRU further from me but it's a pain in the ass to get to and there's hardly any chance I can make it over there come Thursday.

Ahh, that's a HUGE YMMV. My TRU has had signs posted for awhile that they will not do, under any circumstances, price adjustments. In other words, no buying early shit.

This sign is posted at every register, so you see it before you even buy it.

Oh I believe you, but this is exactly why I'd like clarification from someone who works at TRU; some people are saying they were told it's okay/they've done it before, and others are saying no. If I can't get a price adjustment that's fine, I didn't get any critical games I really really wanted or anything, but I'd go back and return them tommorrow and get it out of the way. I hate going out during the holidays, and I could use the $180 back =p.

Oh yeah, I hear that. I was kinda shocked too, with hearsay about no PMs from some employees on here. Just surprised they would cut the crap and have it posted so no one could try and wriggle around it.

But yeah...don't make me go back to TRU this week...:(

My Toys R Us will probably have a lot of these titles in stock. I noticed Bookworm GBA and Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball Xbox were greentagged this year. I'd rather return them next month if we have to return the games and rebuy them. You can return games within 45 days, and it won't be as crazy as doing it during the holiday season
 
I picked up Tekken 5 and Metal Slug 4/5 tonight. Does anyone else still have those Star Wars Controllers at their TrU??

You get a free PS2 or X-Box Star Wars controller with any PS2/XBox game purchase...I even cross-bred...I bought 2 PS2 games and got 2 X-Box SW Controllers.

I'm not sure what they might say when I go back Thursday to PM, but I'll have everything waiting in the car in case there's any technical problems. Just a thought though...every $10 game can also get a free controller.

I'm buy-curious about Samurai Western, the reviews are luke-warm, but it sounds really interesting...anyone have any experience with it?

lol my toysrus also have stated no price adjusting.. so i guess too many ppl have abused the price adjustment b4... sad
 
Oh man- this is gargantuan! Like CC or BB Clearance big. There's at least a dozen games I've wanted to get on there. I'm surprised to see alot of newer games on the list as well and cheap. I better limit myself or they'll all just sit in the back log for the rest of time.

I third this. I'd kick myself if I find out that the prices won't get adjusted until noon or something...since I plan on going to the store at 8 am.

And to the person who mentioned that Guilty Gear Isuka is now $9.99-- thank you so much! After I read the post, I jetted over to my TRU to buy the very last copy that I saw earlier in the day. Man, I went to TRU 3 times today. This one employee sees me in the store so often that he's starting to give me weird looks. xD

Oh, and to anyone who lives in Washington, the Alderwood and Northgate TRU's have a very impressive selection. I posted a list of all the games that I plan on picking up on page 8 that the TRU's had in stock.

You don't have to Price-adjust at the same TrU that you bought the game at.

I bought River City Ransom for $15 in Iowa, and adjusted it to $10 after the green-tag shift in Omaha just for the sake of convenience. They didn't bat an eye at the fact that it wasn't bought at their particular store...or the same state, even :)

I did overhear a CS rep say ABSOLUTELY no rainchecks until January...I thought that was kind of odd.

This is definitely the worst time of the year for price-adjusting...so many people are doing it with all the stocked up Christmas presents sitting around waiting to be opened...I'm sure the stores are getting sick of it.
 
Ah booger, we only have one TRU in Hawaii, and their selection is generally teh sux. I might take a chance on my lunch break this 22nd, but I'm not too hopeful I'll get the stuff I want from that list.

Also, just to add another note for anyone worrying about price matching; I've done it in the past at TRU with no problem at all.
 
After seeing that page scan, I just got that sinking feeling that it's YMMV. The list is definitely store-level based, considering it has quantities and the actual store #. But we shall see. Like I already said, I will try to confirm this tonight.

It could be like the green tag lists. IIRC, the actual lists individual stores got were tailored to their particular inventory. At least, I think it was something like that.
