I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

I'm going on record and saying that this is probably the best CAG week ever. Beats the pants off of $5 CC sale last year. Between KB, KMart, GTA Trilogy for $20 (after coupon) at BB, and now this if it goes down, my wallet is bleeding.

ye, 2 might not seem as bad, but haha ppl always get like 20 of those and then get them price adjusted afterwards. NO wonder theres ever anything at my toysrus, CC and bestbuy. Anyway, 2 quick questions, for you refering to the sell started today, you mean the prices are already 9.99 for all those games? or its not until thursday. Also what is soccer moms mean? sorry i'm kind of new here!

for the one who says because its a clearance they dont have to PM, your receipt is a contract between you and the store, worst case is that you return them and come back later, or to be safe, use a credit card, that way you could do a chargeback because the seller is violating terms of purchase.

edit: also is there anyone else that can confirm the sale, i understand the OP always posts the TRU markdowns in advance, but some of these prices are ridiculous, as smaller drops would be more than fine. I already picked a bunch of things up today and will likely get a few more before the sale starts but I dont want to look like an idiot on thursday returning $500 worth of games because the sale was non-existent

2. Ummm... usually stay-at-home moms who have a bunch of kids and a huge minivan, which she uses to take the kids to soccer practice. Bonus points if she either coaches the team or gets into fights with referees.

Sorry to ask again, but didn't want to get drowned out by so many replies: anyone know if this deal is coming to Canadian TRU's? I just called the one in my town and he said they already had some advertised specials this week, and hadn't heard of anything later in the week.
 
$220 worth of shit after discount. I can't imagine what buying these before discount would ring up to. I may just go to TRU on Tuesday and pick up only the games I want most, then hope on Thursday afternoon they they're still available.

Expect some hassle from TRU with the pricematching. How do you guys convince Customer Service that the prices have dropped, in order to get the PM? Have them rescan the game? They'll probably be all out of the games so there's no proof and since most TRU employees are out of the loop especially when it comes to video games they're probably not going to just accept your word for it.
 
Just got back from my TRU (Roanoke VA), got the last DDS and the last Boktai 2. Also picked up Halo 2 LE, Conker, and Bard's Tale. Close to 200, but I'll get about 125 back on Thursday. Here's hoping I have no problem price adjusting, if not I'll just return everything.

Uh, when you give them your receipt they can reenter the games to see what the current price is. It's not like receipts have skus or barcodes or anything. :roll:

Yeah, most retail places have a policy where if you're returning/adjusting more than 250 or so (it really varies) you'll be getting a refund check in the mail, not cash. Anybody happen to know if TRU has this policy and what the limit is? I'm only getting $123 back, but some of the people in this thread who are going to be getting like several hundred dollars back are going to be in for a suprise I think.

Depending upon where you live and whether or not this deal hits other websites, it can range from moderately good (at best) to no chance in hell (at worst). If this hits a few of the other websites out there you won't have a snowball's chance in hell of finding what you want unless you are looking for 3/4 of the games on the master list.

[Edit:] Eh, forget the offer. I have enough of a backlog as it is. I'll just take my chances. Around here people will be big on paying through the nose for a 360 and whatnot but most wouldn't be caught dead raiding a Toys R Us. And if its raided, good for it. They could use the business after the layout and general feel of the store went all to hell several years ago. Way to lose the magic!

Funny thing is CAG was setup for us gamers to share deals and the vibe I'm getting from this thread is every man (or woman) for himself.

I know the store near me has some of these and my chances of getting them are pretty good unless someone goes in early and razes the shelves in hopes of scoring the stuff early and not playing fair (or buying all of the copies they got there) instead of giving everyone here a fair shake like it should be.

I love this site alot, but sometimes I get a nauseous feeling in my stomach over the greed and screw you attitude I see.

At least to the folks raiding the stores early, give us guys who are gonna play fair a chance and let us live with the hope of getting something good (and that we want) come Thursday.

Have some holiday spirit, I would hope to God anyway.....

I'm not sure where you're getting this vibe. Everyone that is buying games ahead of time is most likely just getting one copy of the game. You have the same opportunity to buy the games ahead of time like everyone else here.

I dont know where you got that vibe, but I personally only got one of each title that I wanted, nothing wrong with raiding the store early... as long as one doesnt seriously horde...

I was headed to TRU early this morning to take advantage of the DS bundle (good as my TRU only had 6 total), didnt get word of this sale until a few moments before I left

Super Monkey Ball 1&2 combo

Does anyone know if the Super Monkey Ball combo is $9.98 for both games or $9.98 for each game? Maybe the OP got it confused with Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for PS2/Xbx?

Honestly, if that game isn't gone by now (after the Ebay craze I instigated by selling one at $100 BIN, to say nothing of the B2G1F sale), then that's probably because nobody knows wtf it is and you're probably still going to be able to get it. It has sold less than 50K copies after all - only one person in every 5,000 gives a shit.

No, there's nothing wrong with it. But I can sympathize with people who might feel that vibe, because I know personally I come to CAG because I'm not so much a cheapassgamer as a poorassgamer. I'm guessing there are some others like me who can't afford to blow hundreds of dollars ahead of time (even on a CC) during the most financially stressful time of year. He's probably just worried that he won't get to participate in the sale... and I share the same concern. Anyhoo, Merry Christmas all. :)

Neonglow if that was the 100% truth, I'd not make a peep about it (and wasn't going to) but after readin my GOOD friend Evan's post (and a few others here) I decided to post because I thought it was bull $#!@, if everyone gave everyone else a chance and didn't go ape and buy out the store that be perfect.

But be realistic, you and I both know that's not the case and Mr. Justifier up there already prooved to me the mental age of the people doing that crap. If I had money to waste driving 120 miles round trip and then again next week to PM the stuff I'd do it, but instead I'd like to make 1 trip and try to get the stuff I want.

Anything wrong with that way of thinking instead of screwing TRU outta cash and giving someone a hard time when you come back and say I want my money back since I knew you were discounting this crap. Good way to give the folks that holiday spirit.

Regardless of whether you CAN do it or not, it comes down to whether you should (and making yourself look like an big @$$hat) just because you can't wait 3 goddamn days like everyone else.

And if you still fail to see what I'm saying then, forget it, and I'm wasting my time trying to explain and for that I feel sorry for you (and everyone else who don't "get it") :drool:

It's going to be harder for those living in big Metro areas. Those in the boonies or between areas with more than one TRU will have an easier time. As for myself, I'll have a hard time regardless as the poor ass people around here will buy ANYTHING as long as it's cheap. They'd best keep their damn hands off my Pikmin 2.

all these deals are breakin my piggy bank. i've seriously bought, like, 15 games already in the past week, and now it looks like i'm gonna have to buy even more. i'm not complaining; i just wish this madness was spread out a little more evenly across the year.
 
I picked up FF I and II, Halo 2 LE, and Prince of Persia 2 for the Xbox.

I'm going to hit the other store in town tomorrow to try and pick up a few more. $100 bucks at this point, but I'll be saving $70 come Thursday. Thanks again OP!
