I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

What I want to know, is if the TRU stores will be honoring the price adjustments??

I got a game last week that is on the list, before anyone even posted this sale here. I'd looooooooove to be able to get some of that money back!

Yep, same thing happened to me. I first asked the cashier to price check Final Fantasy 1+2 - came up as 9.98. From there, I knew I was all set. Grabbed Pychonauts and paid for both. Pycho came up as 9.98 so I asked for a copy of Resident Evil 4 -- the lady laughed and said she didn't need to price check that one. She was SURE it was 44.98. But she did anyway and what do you know, 9.98. I told her there were over 100 games reduced -- she gets on her headset and tells some guy about this. They were all clueless.

Why would you ask? Just go up there and buy it...if it rang up $44.xx at that point, then you could have told him "No thanks".
 
Can someone hook me up with a Pikmin 2? Somebody grabbed the only copy at my TRU practically out of my hands, and that was one of the only games I was looking for. There's another TRU near me, but I doubt there's any Pikmin, and I'm not driving a half hour to come home empty handed.

Psychonauts PS2 or Xbox?
 
so i get to the store, numerous ppl in the parking lot, but it turns out they were just there for normal toys. I have no competition in the game department, pick like a stack of 10 games, boom, the power goes out.

anyway, does anyone know if the star wars controllers are limited to 1 per purchase?
 
at Fairless hills I got MK Deception collectors edition, Sid's Pirates, Fifa Street, Doom 3 and fight night 2. They had some RE4s, and a bunch of other games, there was not really anyone else who knew cept for one kid who said he was a CAG, but didnt say his name. No Pikmin2 though, if anyone has it I might be able to get you another game for trade.

Is that the xbox version of Psychonauts?

hopefully they have RE4 in the morning. Went last night at 10:00 PM and they said they were sold out. All I want is RE4. All I want.
 
Our store (Henrietta, NY) was OUT of RE4 and Digital Devil Saga before the sale even started. However, still got to pick up DOA Ultimate and Tekken 5. Thanks CAG!
 
I hit up the one in Ann Arbor, Michigan. One other guy arrived at the same time as me, and was after Resident Evil 4, unfortunately my TRU was out of that. I managed to clean up quite nicely though

In terms of Xbox games, there was no GTA double pack, no Halo 2 LE and no Ninja Gaiden to speak of. They did have Doom, but I saw little else of interest. Was tempted to scan Pychonauts for the hell of it but decided I had hassled the clerk enough at that point. Disappointed that they were out of Resident Evil 4, Warioware for GBA, Kirby and Splinter Cell for the DS, but all and all I can't complain about my take.

Also the Employees had no idea the mark downs had taken place. I actually left my list with them so they could go through and pick up some stuff for their kids (they were older ladies, didn't seem like the hoarding type).

TOTAL MISSION SUCCESS.

Only a couple cars at opening, two other people waiting for the sale,both older guys, one juts wanted Pikmin 2 and Monkey Ball (they were out of Pikmin), and a guy who had "taken a list of games from everybody in his office and was grabbing a bunch. I grabbed the last copy of Metal Slug 4/5 (he grabbed the next to last one) and a copy of Monkey Ball 1/2 (FYI it's the one that has both games shrinkwrapped together). Went up to CS, they were totally cool with the price adjustment, the girl and the manager were like "wow these games dropped a lot." With the two games I got today, I scored:

DDS (last one)
Halo 2 LE (last one)
Conker (they had a lot)
Bard's Tale (They had a few)
Boktai 2 (last one)
Metal Slug 4/5 (last one)

73.35 total, and I got 108.46 back from the first five games I got previously. I am fucking estactic right now, I love you guys.

This was at the store in Roanoke VA. They were pretty cleaned out, although they had a ton of FF 1/2's, and I think a Spirit shaman (or whatever it's called). All the other GBA games were cleaned out, PS2 looked cleaned out (everything I was looking for was gone), and Xbox/GC were pretty cleaned out. I honestly forgot to check for RE4 though, sorry guys =/.
 
Thank you for having awesome heads up on great deals. I just got back from the Pontiac TRU with Digital Devil Saga and Metal Slug 4 & 5. Psychonauts was not on sale, at least not for the Xbox. They didn't have any PS2 copies. Thanks again guys!

Wait, there's a Toys R' Us across from Eastview? I was in the one across from Marketplace, but Yahoo YP and Toys R' Us's website don't say anything about a store in Victor...

EDIT: There's one in Greece, but I don't work across from it like how I work next to Eastview.

some guy got denied from buying all copies of pirates and fatal frame2. but other than that, everything seems picked over already :(

...and a great deal more in PS2, GC, and XBox titles. However, the GBA selection was substantially weak and the DS section was moderate, at best. Your best bet for that store is primarily the consoles, although I think the handhelds may be much better if in fact they received a shipment since Monday night.

Im on x-mas break from school, stayed up all night playing games cause I didn't have much time during the semester, had to work in the morning. Forgot all about this thread until 7:00 while waiting for the EB update. I had to work this morning, so I go without sleep to TRU and PICKED UP ALMOST EVERY GAME I WANTED. so THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

Only wish I could have grabbed DDR or Resident Evil 4.

I picked up an extra Final Fantasy 1+2 and Boktai 1 for trade fodder.

For the Gainesville Area, many Final Fantasys and most things on the list were there this morning, with no other people from CAG or FW. They even had 360's with 1 guy who bought one.

If anyone picked up an extra Res 4 and can trade or sell lmk!

Just got back from Muncie, IN TRU. Really only looking for RE4, saw the display copy and grabbed it along with DOA Ultimate and WarioWare (GBA). When I took it up, they could not find RE4 so unfortunately, I didn't get the one game I really wanted. The silver lining was that while the guy was looking I saw a Mario Party 5 in the display case that was not on the self, so I was able to snag it.

I found that all of the PS2 games were marked but none of the other games were.
 
Did they have to ring it up to get the new prices? I tried to pick up Tekken 5 and asked the guy at my TRU to do a price check and they guy just goes, "$50".
 
Thanks!!! I picked up Killzone, Pikmin2 and The Sims:Bustn Out..........not all the games I wanted. Very pleased with what I got.

Not that I'm aware of... just metroid prime from what I read.
 
Managed to score a few good games:

I also tried to get Metal Gear Solid 3 but it rang up as $19.95 which is weird because the one with the extra DVD online is being sold for less.. go figure.
