So who is getting R6:Vegas 2? I got a $20 gift card and a $5 reward zone to burn up. I am thinking it is going to R6:Vegas 2. I can't wait. I might use the reward zone for Appleseed Ex Machina. It would be $15 after the Best Buy Blu coupon. So when is this drought of no games coming this year? I think each month has at least some decent releases, if everything comes out on time. Crazy.
I'm definitely getting R6 Vegas 2, but I'm waiting a week longer than the rest of ya'lls because I'm picking up the PC version, assuming that it's a good port. I forgot about Appleseed Ex Machina, though... I'm waiting for the reviews on it, but if it's good, I'll get the Blu-Ray version f'sho.

Anyway, I played a good amount of Lost Odyssey yesterday. I hadn't seen a Thousand Years of Dreams passage the entire week, but I kept running through the town I was in and talking to everyone, and I ended up reading through like an hours worth of stuff. They're really well-written.

I just spent the last 10 hours finishing of Xenosaga 3, my eyes hurt.

Great last few hours, except for Shion has to be the worst main character in anything ever.

Check it out, it's got wings.

If you haven't got this far into DMC4 then don't watch it, it's in a spoiler for a reason.

I just went to GS and traded in 4 games, which I posted in the Deals Forum here. I didn't do too bad after the 25% coupon, getting $35.10. Kind of funny because I paid $10 for my copy of Namco Museum: Battle Collection on PSP back in Summer 2006. I occasionally played it (not much), but I did beat the Pac-Man arranged. I got back $9.45 for it after bonuses, so it's like I played it for only $0.55. Everything else I didn't pay much for anyway, so no big loss.

Haven't played a game yet, but while my lunch is cooking, I'm probably going to play some PSN game really quick. After that, I got a lot of work to do.

So...I'm trying to play other things, but Beautiful Katamari is so amazing that its hard to play anything else.
Kind of balancing Layton/Lego Star Wars: TCS/ Mass Effect right now.
Once I beat those I'll finally go back and beat Blue Dragon.
Then play/beat Eternal Sonata.
Then think about buying Lost Odyssey.
Then buy Lost Odyssey and play it.

Awesome.

That is probably the greatest line ever for dmc lol. I remember when I got to that point and he said that and I was laughing for a good 10 mins.

Been playing some more Etrian Odyssey. Just beat the first boss and made it to the second part (can't think of what it's called at the moment). That and playing some old point n click adventure games such as Monkey Island and Broken Sword.
Dang, I don't think I can ever get there. I have an A class license now, but I really struggle at Stunt Runs and usually mess up on races. I'm still going to try though, but I'll probably never complete.
Stunt Runs drove me nuts. It feels cheap, but this is what I did to get some easy wins:
Once you get the Inferno Van or Inferno BRT Van, do every Road Rage and Marked Man you can find. The van is like a tank, it's very easy to take others down with, and it doesn't go down easy. I also won a lot of races with the Annihilator or Annihilator Phoenix, because it's fast-ish and takes down the other cars easily.

Just like when I played it a decade ago, I started up FFT, got excited that I could go fight a random battle and get some skills, and was quickly gangraped by a roving band of chocobos. As a result I am declaring jihad on all chocobos.

Sure has been a long couple of days without internet, now I realize just how important having internet access is
I could do without the Blitz enemies in the game, though. I really don't understand how to fight them.
For Blitzes, as Nero make sure Blue Rose is fully upgraded and then 2 fully charged shots from it will take down the Blitz's shield. Then Devil Trigger and run up to it and use buster on it (B button). Do it another 2 times right after that (you gotta do it quick) and the Blitz will explode without going berserk. You also get an SSS combo for doing it that way :D

man fuck Contra 4!!!

I was up until 4AM last nite playing it, now my sleep is all effed up and I feel like caca!!

but.. I only got 6 more challenges... I gotta beat them all!!

just got back from a long day of meetings and I'm dead tired. 1 more left at 7 then some homework.

This week looks really tiny for any time other than schoolwork. It sucks.
What kind of meetings do you go to when you're in school?
It was an all day meeting for an organization I'm in called Fish Camp at TAMU. It's the largest student ran orientation service in the country.

The meeting I have tonight is with my group communications team over our project proposal that we have to give in class on tuesday.

I got a working DMC3 and set forth on conquering it on easy. I'm probably halfway through the game in one sitting. I'm having fun, though. I just kind of want to blow through the game quickly, not get frustrated.

See, that's why I could never be a journalism major or communications or whatever fancy-pants title you want to attach to it. Working with stupid dipshits on pointless shit that you don't actually care about.
See, that's why I could never be a journalism major or communications or whatever fancy-pants title you want to attach to it. Working with stupid dipshits on pointless shit that you don't actually care about.
yeah, journalism is my minor and communications is my major.

Our proposal is over what non profit organization in the area we would help out, by picking some problems they have and then pretty much solving their problems and present it to the class in like a 40 minute presentation. And the kicker is that this is just for a grade, so we're pretty much doing it for our health. The non-profit organization will probably never follow through let alone see this presentation we're doing. It's like a hypothetical "if we were going to help them, this is how we would do it" type of thing.

And my prof isn't even from this country so she doesn't speak that great of english, making it harder to understand what she talks about in class. :bomb:

EDIT: and this class is required because I'm supposed to learn to work in a group because that's "supposedly" what I'll be doing in the real world.

and that's exactly why I not only wouldn't, but couldn't do it. I just don't care.

But in my free time last night I watched There Will Be Blood on Chacrana's recommendation. Good fucking movie.

and I also played patapon last night too. Those patapons are so damn adorable.

Apollo Justice is good stuff so far... the new courtroom techniques like manipulation are interesting and more change than I expected to see in the game. Looking forward to Case 2 and beyond.

GGT title has my seal of approval.

my suspicions about patapon came true. this game does as many revolutionary things by attaching a binary rhythm element to very simple RTS commands as most wii-em-ups do by tying waggle to traditional controls.

But there's no such thing as double standards with people who play games..

I actually just think people are too quick to shut off their brains and don't realize these things are there, because the press hasn't told them to hate patapon like they have waggleized games.

I think if you wanna get anywhere towards achieving your goal, you should at least put down beautiful Katamari. It's like a 4 hour single player, whereas all the other games on your list have like 10-100,000,000,000 hour single players that you have to get through :bouncy:Good luck with that.

Or maybe using a rhythm style gameplay mechanic is more fun than waving your arms around.

Though I don't know how you can compare the two when Patapon is an original game built around its mechanic, and these "wii-em-ups" you speak of are games where the controls are shoehorned in.

Jesus Christ, I fucking hate Nascar.

Every goddamn time this shit is on Fox, I try to tune in at eight to watch the animated comedy block. And every goddamn time they still have like ninety hundred laps left even though the fucking thing started more than two hours ago. fucking redneck bullshit.

I wonder if there was a Nascar game for the NES.

So Patapon was nothing more than a nefarious plot by the developer? a conspiracy to expose a couple of forum gamers and how their personal opinions conflict within themselves?

or is it C: Patapon is fun and ports with waggle tacked on are the gaming world's equivalent of pleather.

oh hai GGT!

Since the Dual Shock 3 is going to cost like a billion dollars when it comes out here anyway, I'm thinking of just importing one. What's the best place for the best price I can get one? (Is that English?)

Play-Asia had the best deal AFAIK, but it still wasn't cheap...

Personally, I can't justify spending more money on another controller until I break the one I have now.

Isn't it still more expensive though? The cheapest I've seen is $60 before shipping.

I was thinking about importing one, but with my employee discount it'll be like $50. I don't want one now that badly lol.

Ah, could be. That's why I was asking if someone knew of a solid deal. I'll probably just wait then. Does Sigma use rumbly?

Hehe, yeah. Good to see you on CAG, your a rare sight here :D

And I'm listening to the Juno soundtrack. Wonderful Movie yes, wonderful soundtrack...not so much.

Naw, it's not that bad. As mentioned, PA sells 'em right now for $59.90 + $6-9 shipping (depending if you want a box or bubble envelope).

You should've checked the forums earlier as we could've told you about the $10 off $50 coupon they were offerring through Strikebang.com--that's how I picked up my ceramic white one. $57 shipped is pretty not bad.

Unfortunately, the promo is over now, although you can still look for the $5 off $50 ones--it'll at least remove the sting of shipping costs.
Just beat COD4. Short but worth the cash. Debating selling it now...
You don't like the multiplayer part? It's better than Halo 3, IMO. Admittedly, I'm wrapped up in LO, DMC4, and Oblivion right now, but I'd be down for some COD4 online action anytime.

Speaking of LO, I'm at like... the very end. And I just started Apollo Justice and luv dat shit so far. I like the improved graphics, and I really like the vastly improved sound quality.

I dont like God Hand >_< ... !!!

cant get into it man...

time to get it rid of I guess... I still needa beat Odin Sphere

God Hand is for sure not for everyone..

Nearly done with FF8! Whee. I might actually get into Disgaea this time, being portable and all.

On spring break and finally have a little time to game. Will be putting some more time into Blue Dragon (disc 2), NBA Live 08, maybe finish GRAW 2, and later in the week a friend and I plan on beating Army of Two and pickin up EDF 2017

Still working on Apollo Justice. I think I'm pretty far into the third case now.

No complaints from me, it's a solid game as expected. :D

I know right? I have it tied with the LIIIIGHT line from DMC1 as pure awesomeness. I was laughing as well for a good five minutes straight. Shit was awesome, you get DMC4 for the PS3 or X360 man?

Nobody ever says "you have to like X game" or "you have to hate X game" because the press/reviews/whatever told them so.  People like what they like and people don't like what they don't like.  You don't like patapon, so that's it.  Don't try to make everyone that does like it, feel like they're lower than you or that they're dumber.

Picked it up for PS3 and actually going to get to play through SoS this week (old friends ended up breaking my only sixaxis so I end up ordering a ds3).

Tonights fun was with my guild on their own server on eqemu (having fun waiting a classic server to be brought out) http://www.flickr.com/photos/24313576@N02/

Nice, is it cool if I add you to my friends list? I need more DMC4 players for that triple. I actually have already beat all the difficulties besides Hell or Hell. I'll probably run through DMD mode again to get ready for it, since it's all about evading for that difficulty. Sos to me felt like the perfect difficulty level for DMC4. Wasn't too hard but yet it wasn't piece of cake either like DH, or downright uber easy like Human mode. Once you get your DS3 def let me know how the rumble is in DMC4/if it supports it.

Beat Case 2 of Apollo Justice, and I'm tackling the 3rd floor of Etrian Odyssey now. Had a little problem with the first FOE, but I managed to take him down eventually.

I hope we hear more about the MGS4 PS3 bundle soon. I want to start feeling out retailers on the best place to pick it up in June, because I'm thinking it may sell out and become hard-to-find.

Sure go ahead. I could always use more friends to play/compete with.

Krymner have you fought the stalker foe on B3 yet? If not, avoid at all costs lol. The can easily take down any character in one shot your first time down.
