OFFICIAL 2006 Yard Sale Thread

Pope, that Super Famicom is easily the best find anyone has gotten this week (and for $2.50?). Congratulations. And thank you Sailorneorune for beating me on Area 88/UN Squadron.

Anyway, I know I am late, but I will tell you all what I got last Saturday.
I ended up going to 10 sales plus one flea market.

At one sale, I noticed there was a complete Genesis copy of Mortal Kombat II marked $5.00. I obviously wasn't going to pay that, so I figured I would come back near the end of the sale and CIF the seller .50. Unfortunately, when I came back, the sale was already closed. Oh well.

At another, I was able to pick up a first model Sega Genesis complete with box plus four games for $5. The man even said that he had a light gun somewhere and he would call me if he found it. I hope that he doesn't charge me extra on it, assuming he finds it.

I then went to my neighborhood flea market. Last saturday probably was not a good day to go, as a lot of booths were closed. Nonetheless I found a few things.

At one large booth that sells movies and video games, I was able to find a sealed copy of 32 Great Holes for the 32X. The price tag was a little faded, it apparently said "4.49" but the first 4 was almost unrecognizable, so I took it up to the counter and asked if it was supposed to be .49. The cashier said "close enough" and I got it for that price. I also picked up some off-brand joystick for the Genesis for $1.

My last find came when I was about to leave. I noticed that someone was selling about 20 NES games. I asked what price he was selling them for, and he said $2.50 a piece. I passed, and then a complete copy of Time Crisis 3 (with Guncon 2) passed my eye. I asked how much it was, and the seller said "$15.00." I CIF him $10 and he agreed to it.

Well, that was my day, and I wish everybody luck this week.

Doom can you post some pics? I would love to see that stuff.

Bah.
My deals can't compare.
But when I DID move, last year [or 2 years ago, I forgot] I found a Atari 2600 along with about 20 games, a few paddles, and some 26 year old catalogs. FREE :D

Ok, here's what I snagged over the last couple of days...

N64 with Magical Tetris Challenge, Yoshi's Story, Mario Kart 64, 3 controllers (2 Atomic Purple, 1 Extreme Green), all hookups, and a PS2 controller that just needs to have the analog sticks cleaned - CIF'd $10 at a yard sale one of my mom's friends was holding
sealed MadCatz Gamecube controller - $2 at a consignment shop conveniently on the way to work
3-pk. sealed SNES game protector cases - $1 at said shop
Devil Hunter Yohko Complete Collection - $15 new at Book & Music Exchange, Henderson

I passed on a NCAA 2K3 College Football for GC... it was $5, but it had no manual. I may go back for it if a CAG is interested in it...

P.S. doom - you're welcome ;)

Picked up an Atari Jr. and about a dozen or so games for $12, as well as a Bentley Pong machine for $.25 a couple weeks back.
( blog post ).

This weekend I got an NES Advantage, some NES games (Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, the "original" arcade mario bros. and Castlevania 1 and 3) for $2. Also got 10 Star Wars toys for $.20 apiece, turns out one is worth about $75! :whistle2:o (for those wondering it's a Micro Machines Action Fleet Tie Defender).

Still keeping my eye out for a Turbo Grafx, Game Gear, Lynx, Jaguar, 32x, Sega CD, and for pete's sake, an NES. I'm not paying $40+ on eBay for an NES dammit!

I did find a top loader NES + 17 games on Craigslist for $70 recently that I really should have pulled the trigger on. Ah well.

edit: ah, it's probably worth noting I bought a mint box, manual, game copy of Zelda: Collector's Edition for Gamecube for $10!

Got a bit of a follow up to my GoodWill Dreamcast story. One of the grouping of items in the bid case was 5 NES games for $9. Seeing as only 1 of the games was worth anything, I decided not to bid (neither had anyone else). I asked the lady what happens with the stuff that doesn't get bid on. She said they price it individually and put it out in the store later.

I happened to be talking to my Mother on the phone about my DC find and the NES games. She had talked to someone at one time and found out that they put the bid case stuff out in the store on Tuesdays. So, after our oldest boy got out of school today, we ran by the GW and they had JUST brought the stuff out from the back. I snagged up the one game I wanted (Mike Tyson's Punch-Out) for $3. :}

i love when stuff works out like that. glad to hear you got the game you were after, congrats!
Scored a Diablo 2 strategy guide and inserts for diablo 1 and 2. Oh and a Bill Cosby vinyl. Price: 1.50
"rrrrr...mmm.... bwuzzzzaaa....wuzzzrr.....mmm....Jello PUDDING POPS!...mmm....rzzzzzuhh....bizow!"

Found a person selling her son's old games in the town I live in, via Craigs List. Meeting up with her tomorrow morning to pick up,

Rival Schools (PS1-Complete)
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos (Complete)

$16. Not an amazing deal, but I'm happy to finally get a copy of Rival Schools. Hope all goes well :)

I actually talked her down from $20. My bargaining skills suck :)

I picked up the games this morning. Both work great.

rad, rad. i haven't played Rival Schools in AGES. i always liked Croc. i still have it on the Saturn. good game. and i'm pleased to hear you did talk her down. something is always better than nothing. in fact, that 3 bucks you saved is gonna fetch you another rad item down the line, so it's actually pretty good.

First time posting in this thread. I haven't been to any yard sales yet this year, but does the local Old & New Shop count?

I went there today, and someone must have recently donated a Genesis system, controller, fighter stick, and gun (which was gone already). There were also a bunch of games there. I had no idea how much the games were worth, but I figured for $1 each, why not? Here's what I got:

$1 - Arcade's Greatest Hits (box, no manual)
$1 - Castlevania: Bloodlines (box & manual)
$1 - Liberty or Death (box & poster, no manual) - This one had an Electronics Boutique receipt from August 1995 in the box! The game originally cost $34.99.
$1 - Madden '96 (game only)
$1 - Pirates! Gold (box, manual, & map)
$1 - Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi (box, no manual)
$1 - Shining Force (box & manual)
$1 - Streets of Rage 2 (box & manual, no game)
$1 - Sword of Vermilion (box, no manual)

$5 - Fighter SG-6 pad

So, $14 total. I still have to check on eBay to see if they're worth anything. If not, then I have some Genesis games to add to my collection.

Here are some pics (let me know if they're too big):

And here's the receipt from 1995 that was in the Liberty case:

Since the shop is so close to the post office, which I go to a lot, I'll have to start stopping in more frequently.

Good Finds Drakken! Several of those are worth some decent $$

good stuff there! congrats!!

i'm rarin' to go for tomorrow; can't wait!

I didn't have much luck today. The first addition sale I went to only had like 5 sales. The next few additions didn't have much. Picked up some GPA SP screen protectors for $1 and Splinter Cell guide for $0.40.

I decide for lunch I'd drop by this festival that's in a town a few miles north of my city. I got a huge pork tenderloin and some freshly made peach ice cream. After that I hit some more sales that I passed by on the way there. I picked up several small hard drives for a $1. At another I picked up this old Mega Man vhs for a $1.

I was a little mad that one sale with some sega saturn stuff wouldn't sell the games individually. I didn't want to pay $50 for all of that. I wasn't the most productive trips, but I did enjoy driving around the countryside. It's been a beautiful day here.

I wasn't planning on going, and I'm not even sure if sales are gonna happen as some rain may be coming in tonight (fingers crossed it's light or goes away...lol), but, while talking to my mother on the phone tonight, she said that there is a neighborhood just down the road that's having a neighborhood sale tomorrow. Even thou I wasn't probably gonna go to sales, I may head over there as I've found some decent stuff there before (GBA + games/acc. for $5).

I had an interesting YS today. At 4:00 I went out to get the mail and saw in the paper there was a yard sale in the local trailer park that had video games that started at 4:00. I instantly hopped in the car to see what it had. When I got there, I saw that the guy holding the sale was the same guy who used to run a local game and movie shop. He had the remainder of his inventory out. Although, most of it was overpriced, I was able to convince him to sell me all the XBOX, PS2, and GameCube games he had marked at $5 for about $2 each. In total I bought 55 games for $125. Almost all of the games were junk titles (the best title was Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for GC) so I drove over to my local Gamestop and traded most of them for $270 in store credit with the 3 for $10 bonus promo. I also snagged Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume 3 DVD for $5. Overall it was not a bad haul.

Couple of great craigslist grabs the past few days.

Got a free Sega Saturn, and Zelda: Collector's for GC for $10.

pictures and stuff in my blog post.

edit: interesting haul thack. Nice of him to drop the prices, too bad no classic games though!

I may or may not go 'sailing this weekend. the OSU game is this weekend and our city is absolutely packed. the traffic is going to be legendary.

Found a PSX memory card for $1 at a garage sale. They had some random XBox games as well, but none that interested me (no Xbox, for starters) I love buying used memory cards because people never wipe their savedata and it's fun to look in and see what they had. This one was Madden 2001 (I didn't know saving a season took up that many blocks...sheesh) with a sprinkle of GTA2 and a dash of Namco Museum vol. 1. When I finally find my vol.1 disc, I'll go see if they ever put up any really high scores.

Great, you got half your PS3 or two pink/black DS lites already!

That'd probably be your best idea, buy two pink DS lites and sell them on eBay during Christmas.

Sorry to ramble on, but it's late and I'm still pretty excited about my luck. As always best of luck to all fellow deal hunters. I better head to bed, as there are a few community YS's to hit up this morning.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today was pretty decent. Beautiful weather and the sales weren't too bad. Hit 45 of them.

We picked up the Star Wars laserdisc thinking it was worth more than it is. We were interested in the laserdisc player that was with it, but not for the $25 asking price. We hope to pick one up for around $5 some day, just for the niche appeal. Still, it's neat to have.

Tried to buy a dirt-encrusted 6-button Genesis pad for a quarter, but was rebuffed.

Talked the N64 guy down from $25. We had to ask if he had any game stuff, and he went in and got that.

The broken PS2 seems to have a faulty drive. It boots just fine, but won't load any games. Anybody know if this is easy to fix? I seem to remember people talking about just needing to tighten a screw or something.

We always know we've reached the end of the day when people start telling us "we already sold some of that this morning". This is usually around 11am. So for all the stuff we got, there were still tons more out in the wild. It just goes to show that there ARE things out there to find, and you just have to get out and find them first. We try to stay optimistic and pretend that some old grandma bought the things we missed for her grandkids, instead of the much more probable flea market dealer.

There's still some time left in this yardsale season. I expect things to go pretty decently through October, depending on how cold it gets.

Nice find on the 64 for $5.00.

I could have bought a Beta VHS player and the Godfather 1 & 2 but the price was $125. I said, "this is old, probably doesn't work, and isn't worht that by a longshot." The old man didn't care, so I left. Everyone seems so cranky in my neighborhood. My neighbors 3 houses down had a sale with no videogames, mostly just girls stuff, and a broken vcr. I tired liek a quater for the VCR but they wanted a firm $5.00.

Whew, good sales were pretty scarce today, even thou we hit a neighborhood sale. The only gaming items I picked up were a Dreamcast controller ($.50) and a Color GameBoy game (free with no label, gotta play it to find out what it is...lol). We picked up a couple of books and Batman action figures for our boys and I got a cd, but that was about it.

I saw an N64 with 10 games for $10 and almost picked it up. But, the controller's joystick was broken and EVERY game had the kids name written on the cartridge in sharpie marker. I just didn't feel like messing with it at that point...lol. Another sale had several PS1 games for $2 each, but they were all sports titles...thphph. Oh well, win some lose some... :}

*edit...EWWWWWWW...the GBC game without a label turned out to be Little Nicky. Not only am I not a big fan of Adam Sandler, but, I'm even less of a fan of crappy games made from movies...tphphph!

I doubt you guys have alot of flea market vendors your competing against for video games at yardsales judging from what you've posted about finding in this thread. I'd think you may be creating more competition posting about what you find yardsaling in this thread as I know if I lived around you and never went yardsaling for games I'd seriously consider doing so after seeing some of the stuff you find on a weekly basis.

I personally think that finding old video game gems at yardsales in most neighborhoods is just dumb luck as if people have old games out for everyone at a yardsale to see and it's dirt cheap (or very very reasonably priced for a yardsale) it'll sell in a matter of minutes as long as the yardsale is getting decent to high traffic coming in. That's not to say that hard work and persistence ain't important it's just that I think that luck is most important with hard work being right after that :)

I agree. 90% of my finds are pure luck and unadvertised. Asking people for videogames helps a lot too, because a lot of people don't consider taking them out. Like my first story of the season, I asked, and the guy brings out a Genesis with 5-8 crappy games and wants $45 for it. I tried to haggle, but his wife *just* checked eBay and that’s the price they go for. I told him no. And he was a complete zero personality wise. I had to entertain him for like 20 minutes for nothing. On the other hand, I got an NES action set complete with box and games and a brand new zapper and controller (never even taken out) in MINT condition for about $3.00. The old lady went digging and got a top loader and more games and dog bone controller for another $2.00. She just wanted to get rid of it since her grand kids grew out of it. I was so excited. So it is just pure luck on the niceness of the people and their willingness to just get rid of stuff taking up space. I know whenever I get rid of anything for money, I take just about anything I can get for it because I would throw it out if I didn't think another family could get use out of it. I think getting use out of an old item for a dollar is much better than having it sit and collect dust out of spite!

I learned a lesson the hard way today: If you see something you like at the empty thrift store run by the old man, stake your claim right away. Don't say "I'll pick it up on the way out." Otherwise a group of three giggly srat girls may appear out of nowhere to grab it. :(
srat girls?

What was it?

A Britney Spears CD?
No, a complete mint Dragon Force for Sega Saturn = )

Sorority girls LOVE Japanese RPG's...

I have only actually found about 3 or 4 yardsales with old cart games out that were still sitting around by the time I got to given yardsale this year and they were nothing too special :) All of my good to insane retro game finds at yardsales this year have been from asking people if they had any video games and people digging up stuff that wasen't out for sale. Much like you and your NES find.

I've actually only had the because it goes for this much on eBay line told to me once while bargin hunting around my area over the last 2 summers at the flea market I frequent. I saw a SNES in box (somewhat worn but all in one piece) with afew cart only games (Super Mario Kart, Aero The Acrobat, Killer Instinct, Starfox and Super Mario All-Stars/Super Mario World) It had a tag on it that said $65 so I double checked with the lady and she said yep that's what I want for all the SNES stuff cause I saw one go for 80ish on eBay. I told her that I'd do $20ish and that I really couldn't justify more since I really only wanted it for the box and in a polite way told her that it'll be tough to impossible to pull that kind of money for it at this flea market (I saw Castlevania III for the NES still sitting around at noon at this flea market with a asking price of $2 on a nice day around July!) I saw this lady afew weeks later and she still had the system and games minus Mario Kart & Super Mario All Star/World making me think that maybe she got talked into parting with those two for a decent amount but less then you could hope to get for them on eBay.

eBay wasen't mentioned but here was a fun yardsale I stopped at last year :)

today's finds:

5 Pack "Cool Colors" Pocket CD-Rs, new $1

Frosty the Snowman DVD, new, $1
Halo: The Fall of Reach (prequel to the first Halo game), 25 cents

PSX Metal Gear Solid (missing disc one, otherwise complete), 50 cents

GC Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike Preview Disc, complete, $1
XB Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, complete, $4

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Bonus Disc (?), sealed, 50 cents

XB360 1st Party Wireless Controllers, mint pair, $6

TOTAL: $14.25.

it was a slow day, but not too bad overall. my buddy and i hit about 15 yard sales total, today, and two swap meets. the Frosty DVD might seem like an odd pick, but my wife and i are HUGE fans of all things Christmas, so i was very happy to pick it up. it joins literally dozens of Christmas DVDs.

i kicked up my heels when i found Metal Gear Solid, since the ladies selling didn't seem to care about any of the CDs in the slightest. i opened it up and.... BUMMER. missing disc one. i have a complete NON-GH copy already (that i actually bought on day one many moons ago), but this would've been a nice little find anyway. one of the sellers said she'd take a dollar, but i pointed out that disc one was missing and offered 50 cents. she said fine. i figure that at some point i'll stumble across the bare disc (i have in the past), and then i'll complete it.

i have the GC SW preview disc already, but it's bare disc so i liked finding a complete copy. i know it's not worth anything, but i think it's neat just the same. the kid selling it wanted $3 (he knew it was a demo) and $15 for GC Scooby Doo Something-Or-Other. i told him i'd give him a buck for SW since it was only a demo and he agreed. nothing fancy.

MGS2:S came from an old man who was selling that and Cabela's Big Hunt (or something) for $5 each, or 8 for both. i told him i'd give him $4 for just MGS and he agreed. the manual and disc are mint, but the case insert has a bit of water damage to it. again, not a great find, but i've been wanting this one. makes my PS2 MGS2 from a while back kinda pointless, but that's okay.

the Advent Children bonus disc came from some young guy at a swap meet that was selling a bunch of games that we'd apparently missed out on. he had two of these discs laying there and said we could have them both for a dollar. okay. i don't even know what's on it, but i figure i'll just throw it on my tradelist. someone has to want it.

my find of the day is pretty obvious. two mostly mint, 100% working XB360 controllers, $3 each. there was one laying on a table, and i almost missed it. as i turned to walk away, it caught my eye. i asked how much, and the lady selling told me 5. i would've easily paid 5, but that's not how we do things, is it? ;) i offered her 3, which she gladly took and as i walked away all giddy, she yelled out that she had one more!!! the only thing that disappointed me about this deal was that if i'd seen that she had two to begin with, i would've offered her 5 for both, and probably got it. still, $100 worth of 1st party controllers for $6, i'm not complaining (much). took them home, turned on the ol' 360, and tested them out. they work perfect, yay!

that's it -- if not for the 360 controllers, i would've considered the outing kind of a bust. it's still fun though, even when you don't land any deals. i might go back out tomorrow, but otherwise, i'm done for this week.

I was working 'til 5am last night so I skipped out on sailing today.
A couple days ago, though, I picked up 30 Atari games for $15 from Craigslist:

That brings my Atari collection to 45 games! Woot!
I really like your blog! It's nice to keep a personal record of this stuff.
Thanks! It's inspired by your website =P. You had some amazing luck that one day you picked up the TGfx16, 32x, etc. My wife and I are still keeping a sharp eye out for an NES (which is astounding we don't have), a TGfx16 and a Sega CD. Our problem is Austin is a very young city with lots of tech-savvy people, so people know the worth of their stuff.

Next weekend is Austin City Limits and we're moving, so I'm not sure we can go sailing next week, either. I want to get back into the field! The weather is getting nice outside =)

not real happy with the finds today

went to a multi-family garage sale, asked if they had games

The guy told me they had TONS of ps2 and xbox games as well as a nes earlier but they all got sold to one guy

:bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb:

anywayzzz

Everquest Triligy - sealed
Starcraft - sealed
Starcraft Brood War Expansion - sealed
Star Wars Clone Wars - PS2 - disc only and heavily scratched

PAID - $5

Misplaced my camera so no pics right now
Hit up 30 sales today in about 3 hours.

Very first sale I scored a fat PS1 w/hookups and controller and 5 completes games. Xenogears, Driver 2, NHL 98, Jet Moto 2, & Tomb Raider 3. I asked for games at this sale. guy went to his van and came back with these goods. He wanted $5. I CIF $3 which he took .

Next score was kinda sweet
Mortal Kombat - the album
Mortal Kombat original soundtrack
Ozzy Osbourne - the ozzman cometh (2 CDs)
Star Wars Story Book
Return of the Jedi collectors book
The Teaching of the Kama Sutra book
When I got to this sale I asked for VG's and the lady said all she had was junk.
i asked and she wanted .50 each on the books and the CD's. When I picked out what I wanted the lady said let me get a bag, as i was dumping it in the bag i said "will you take $1 for this junk?" with a slight emphasis on the word junk. she took it.

Next score was ultimately very sweet
PS2 w/ hookups and 1 controller (go figure Evilmax)
Sega Genesis model 1 w/hook ups
Sega Genesis model 3 w/hook ups
3 controllers
games cart only
boogerman
nba jam
ms. pacman
sonic spinball
JM football
This was a nice find. The genesis stuff was in a PS2 box. I ask the lady how much for everything and she hits me with $10. I counter with a CIF offer of $5 pointing out the stuff was dirty. She accepted and then I asked do you have any PS2 stuff (cause the genesis stuff was in a ps2 box). She said she has a old system but it does.nt work. I told her I would give her $5 for it (without seeing it) stating that I tinkered a little and I might be able to fix it. I was really thinking I could trade it in. She agreed and went in the house and came back with the system, hookups and 1 controller. I got home hooked this up and the game I tested would not load. . I blew everything down with some compressed air and cleaned the system with my DVD cleanig disc and bada bing bada boom every game loads perfectly.

Last score was a really nice NES system complete with hook ups and 1 controller and 5 games, metroid, castlevania 2, SMB 3, Platoon and SMB/DH
I arrived at this sale and noticed one of those cheap chinese plug ins with 128
games in it. I asked the lady how much and she came back with $1 which I paid. Then I asked the vg question and she looked at her husband and he says just a sec and bolts into the house and comes back with the NES. The unit was quite clean so I asked how much. He came at me with "uh I don't know, how about $5" which in my book equates to "I'll give you $3" CIF . He took it.

Did you disassemble it at all, or did you just blow into the drive? Also, did you use something like this? I'll have to try and pick one up.

i havent been in this thread before. and after reading 2 pages. i fuckin laughing my ass off over here.
you guys are great. i love the, " he said $5, which in my book equates to $3"
hilarious, i need to go out with some of you.

I just blew out the drive and the fan area. I did not disassemble, and thats the exact type of lens cleaner I used.

I apologize for not having any pictures, but my camera is on the fritz.

I went to 21 sales over yesterday and today, this is what I came up with:

A 3rd party PS2 light gun (as I like to call, a GunClone): $1
A copy of Star Wars: Dark Forces for PC: 25 cents
A Commodore 16 computer in box: $2
A strange book thats name escapes me: Free
A Stratego board game: 25 cents

In addition, I picked up an Xbox for free from a lady whom I had given my number to last month. The system came with the necessary hookups, but no controllers. Because of that, I haven't tested it yet.

I bought the GunClone and Dark Forces at the same sale, a sale that also had a broken PS2 for sale. The price was $15, but I probably could have talked the seller down to $7. After seeing Snotknocker's post, I am now wishing I had jumped on that. Oh well; this wasn't the first time I had found a broken PS2.

The sale that I bought that Commodore 16 from had a lot of guitars for sale. The prices ranged from $40 to $145. I don't keep up with instrument appraisement, so I wonder if there were some good deals to be found. I also saw a box load of Popular Science magazines from the 1980s. I asked the seller how much for the box and he said $5. I was a little hesitant on that price but then he said he would throw in the Commodore for the same price. I declined, deciding that I have enough magazines in my room as it is. I then CIF'd him $2 for the Commodore.

The Stratego board has an interesting story; it turns out that some person dropped off a bunch of board games at the sale I went to, and didn't ask for anything. That might explain the good price I got on it. Everything is in good condition too.

I think I had a decent run. Next week I might be yard sailing with a friend, so I hope that goes over well.
No, a complete mint Dragon Force for Sega Saturn = )

Sorority girls LOVE Japanese RPG's...
Wow. They have suprisingly good tastes.

And Snotknocker, what exactly is your avatar supposed to be? It looks kind of like a cross between Karnov and Carl from Aqua Teen Hungerforce.
Allyourblood, nice score :)

It's nice to see the possibility of Xbox 360 stuff showing up at Yard Sales :)
thanks very much! i thought so too. i actually saw two 360 controllers last weekend as well, that i was kicking myself for not buying, at 13 bucks apiece. they were missing the battery covers, but both included Charge N Play cables, so i could've technically used them wired until i got around to buying battery packs. for some reason, they didn't sound like a good deal, so i passed over them. i got home, looked at my 2 wireless controllers, and kicked myself when i imagined 4 of them sitting all purty next to one another, awaiting a 4-player halo match (or whatever). i was slightly annoyed all week, and was actually still complaining about it to a friend about 5 minutes before i ran across the pair of controllers today.

besides the controllers, the only 360 stuff i've run across has been a couple games that people want WAY too much money for -- like $45 for PDZ or PGR3... bah! you can't reason with people over stuff like that. all they know is that they paid 60 bucks each for those games a few months ago, and they want to get most of it back.

my pal asked me to go back out to some yard sales tomorrow, and i think i will. after all, i spent less than 15 bucks today; i can spare it! ;)

I didn't get much yesterday. I ended up hitting a richer neighborhood that I don't usually have much luck with yesterday afternoon. I only got two items:

$2 came with the manual and a map, but that is missing one half.

$25 Cisco 2610 Router. I tried to offer $30 for both this and a Cisco 2950 12 port switch that he had, but he would only let me take the router for that price. I got him to take $5 off since he couldn't find the console cable for it. I really should have gone and got more money. I would have liked that switch. I checked ebay and the routers go for around $50-$150 range. The switch starts off in the $150 range. I've been wanting one of these to play around with.
