Official Amazon Quick Picks FAQ - READ 1st POST

Just got ff versus 13 for ps3 in my gold box today.

Also had Episodes from liberty city for 360 in there yesterday along with forza 3.

Just trying to update the dates for anyone who's wondering.
 
For Dota players, I just got League of Legends on PC to pop up due to my Borderlands PC purchase. Also had Ratchet & Clank alongside Halo 3: ODST even though the first is marked uninterested and the latter is a purchase. Just another fluke.

Another game of the not interested kind: NSMB Wii. I have a theory that just like junk that shows up in our quick picks, certain games that lots of people are buying will just be forced into our picks anyways.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but if I check "Not Interested" into the recommendations box, is that particular item gone for good? Will it show up again later if I try to force it to appear?

I'm wondering because if I wanted to get, say, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and I checked "not interested" for everything in the recommendations BUT TvC, would that prevent me from ever getting any of those games again? Or will it come back after a while?

EDIT: Never mind, I'm stupid as usual.

This is the first time I've ever not been able to get a game to show up in my quick picks but I can't get Borderlands to show up at all and I can't figure out why. I went through all 2,000 items to make sure I hadn't ever clicked not interested on it, I added the "normally bought with" items, and all the other stuff that usually works. PS3 version goes into my recommendations no problem but the 360 version just wont cooperate.

I don't think anyone has got Borderlands in the past, so it's not anything you're doing.
 
I can't get :ps3: MW2: Hardened Edition. I've been trying the past week and so far no luck. On my first try with Uncharted 2 before it came out, it got in my Quick Picks. Hopefully I can eventually get Hardened Edition too.

Not a chance, unfortunately. MW2 has never been eligible for picks and most likely never will be.

Damn. I can't get Hero's Saga: Laevatein Tactics in my quickpicks. Eventhough, Jodou has it MIA since 9/13, I had it show up about 2 weeks ago. That is the reason why I'm interested in the game. I have a $10 credit from KH 365/2 days (expires after 10/31) but I've been waiting for the ECA discount to return so I waited.

If HS:LT doesn't show up, I might have to go with Professor Layton & the Diabolical Box before the coupon expires.

quick picks HAVE to be effected by your browsing history. I have blurays show up in my quick picks the day after I looked at some online, and i've never bought one before in my life. I have had several other instances of this also.

Not entirely gaming related but I got District 9 on BD today, which includes the GOW III demo. Figured I'd put an order in just in case I can't find a better deal.

so no way to combine 2 sepearte orders with gold box discounts. Reason I am asking is, on one of the orders I have a 10% off. If I could combine, it will be 10% off the entire order!!!
 
Well, e-mailing Customer Service might get you somewhere. I was speaking from purely on my end, in that I was unable to combine the orders under that specific area where they allow you to do so. I do seem to recall people mentioning in the ECA thread or some other thread about getting a game added to an order due to promos, but I'm unsure if it would work with a Gold Box game.

Yep, you and a few other people (including myself) got the GOW III CE. That's a hell of a discount too!

Also got Star Trek on BD and I think I'm going to put down an order for both just in case I decide to get the CE. Really doubt it but you never know.
 
Do you really need it? Can it be pawned off at a profit?

I just can't bring myself to drop my coupon on a box lol. Completely different story if triple ECA was still available, though. ;)
 
Damn, hell of a gold box day for me today. I managed to get New Super Mario Bros Wii, Star Trek and Inglourious Basterds on blu-ray. Bought all 3 for $44 after my $40 credit. And I just started a Prime trial yesterday. Sweet.

I think my quickpicks are broken :(

I keep getting fucking books and blenders despite the fact that I always clear my cache and have never bought a book or appliance of any kind from them


For instance I have never bought any of the aforementioned things as I said. I have a freaking skillet in my quick picks.. I mean WTF.

I have no idea why it's giving me quick picks from all categories, is there any way to have it only give quickpicks from one category? Also I show nowhere that I own a wii, nor have I ever bought a wii game before, yet I still get wii games in my quick picks. I would like it to only show PS3 games since that's all I own, but alas it's probably not that intuitive :(
