Post All Best Buy YMMV Deals Here.
I work in a Best Buy, perhaps I can help.

Clearances at Best Buy are on a store-by-store basis. What doesn't sell in that particular store may eventually be put on clearance, but it is pretty YMMV. It isn't at all a chain-wide thing like Target.

Speaking of Tatsunoko, my local BB had the fight stick on clearance for 50% off, so scored one for $29.99. Not bad, a $40 savings.
That's the same one I picked up today.

Found and picked up yesterday.
Rock Band: Metal Track Pack for $8 (360)
Overlord 2 for $8 (360)
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes for $12 (DS)

Games on a rack at the front of the store marked at regular price, but a sign reading 60% off.

My BB doesn't really have a clearance rack. Sometimes there's a bin in the middle of the aisle or near the checkout where they just throw assorted crap into like Haze or Fracture or NFL Head Coach, but for the most part I have to search through the regular game aisles to find discounted stuff.

Between yesterday and today i've been to 9 Best Buy's. Only two had actual clearance racks and only one had anything worthwhile:

Civilization Revolution (360) - $10
Demon's Souls - $20
Green Day Rock Band Plus (PS3)- $35
Klonoa (Wii) - $10

Found the following for $5 each

PC
Brothers in Arms Hells Highway Limited Edition
Bully
Godfather 2
Guitar Hero Aerosmith
LOTR Online
LOTR Online 60 day card (may be useless since the game is free to play now, but supposedly there is a benefit for paid members)

PS2
Buzz Hollywood Quiz ($3.00)
Guitar Hero 1 & 2 Dual Pack
Rock Band Track Pack (various ones)
Singstar Country

PS3
Jurassic the Hunted

360
Chronicles of Riddick
Fallout 3 Broken Steel & Point Lookout expansion packs
Guilty Gear 2 Overture
Guitar Hero 2
Popcap Arcade Vol 2 (Peggle, Feeding Frenzy & Heavy Weapon)

DS
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon
Naruto Shippuden Ninja Council 4
The Price is Right/Rayman Raving Rabbids Bundle

Wow. Some nice finds. The Richmond BB @ VA Ctr just has boxes and boxes of mostly really old games and shovelware--hundreds of pounds of shovelware.

So sad...

North Spokane, WA BB has God of War 3 on clearance, 50% off, stickered price $59.99. I'd say this is extremely YMMV, but if anyone is close I'd say go get it, it won't be there long.

Thats a great price but who hasnt played that game yet haha.. Either way good price on a good game

Hmm, I wonder if mine may be at that price also. I think I may need to go and see what it rings up as. Thanks for the heads-up, possibly NMH2 for $8...yes please

Well, the TVC sticks are being clearanced at $47.99 - $52.99 at multiple Best Buys over here in NJ. Waiting for the sticks to drop more before I bite. Discovered a lonesome
iconxbox360.gif
BioShock 2 LE for $49.99 at one location. Didn't buy because I already own the game.

Was a few weeks ago, but a friend saw No More Heroes 2 for 75% of $29.99 and TvC arcade sticks for $20 at the Best Buy in Brainerd, MN.

A few Demon's Souls for 39.99 then 30 percent off at the Eatontown, NJ store. Be aware that none of the customer kiosks are working here, so print out your reward zone certs beforehand.

There was also Way of the Samurai 3 for 29.99 and a ton of other stuff (most overpriced) on that shelf.

I saw Forza II PH on clearance for $11.99. Didn't actually ring it up since it could be cheaper. Also they had the Chronicles of Riddick Assault on Dark Athena :360: for $14.99.

Apple Valley, MN store has the black wireless controller with the 4 xbla games for $26.99 and they had a good 4-5 copies left as of the midnight launch last night.

Picked one up with Reach since my niece and nephew love playing castle crashers but there is always a fight over who gets to play if I'm playing or if a neighbor kid is playing. 3 controllers is better than 2, and might as well get 4 games with it.

The Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom stick is on clearance but it is YMMV on how much it is. In the Houston area, only a few stores have it at the $29.99 point, while others range from $39 to still $59. I bought one from the Copperfield store for $30 but it was the last one. I'm gonna check at work tomorrow where I can find another for that price. :)

Vyse: there are still four in College Station at $29.99. They've been holding steady for weeks now. I keep hoping they'll drop once more, at which point I'll pick up a second one. Just fyi.

Saw the 360 versions of Wheelman for $7.50, Riddick for $10, Overlord 2 for $7.50, Fuel for $5, Rock Revolution for $2.50 (at some point they're just going to give that one away) on the clearance rack.

I guess I deleted the pic from photobucket, but last year I found 6 copies for 25 cents each.

Yesterday I saw Spyborgs for $1 and picked up MLB 2k9 & Disney Sing It (HSM 3) w/ Mic for $2 each.

Thanks for the heads up, but that's a bit far for me. :whistle2:(

I'll try again tomorrow to see where I can find another for $30.

I found the 360 controller bundle with 4 games for $24.99 and a PS3 expansion bar (basically a USB hub and card reader) for $9.99 in Mayfield, OH. The Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Fightstick was still around $50.

I posted this earlier in the Target thread, but I was informed about the Best Buy clearance thread and figured I'd post it here where it belongs.

Anways, I picked up a brand new copy of Bioshock 2 LE for PC at Best Buy for $20! :D I'm not sure if this is something that all the Best Buy's are doing? (my assumption is no) as I only was at the one. Just a heads up though to anyone to keep their eyes open.

White Knight PS3 $47.99...not a great price, but clearanced nonetheless.

I need to go back to BB this weekend to check the price on those TVC sticks. They are labeled $46.99 or something like that. I'd love to have one.

Reston, VA had the Media Expansion bars in stock. $15 though.

I scored a $20 AMEX GC through a contest @ my work (for working the most overtime) today, so I will be using it towards potentially that TVC stick. $25 or so for that would be sweet! Although I could score DQ9 for "free" as well w/ @GAMER coupon.

Then again I might hold out & use it on some BF deals to make them even sweeter. Decisions decisions...

:whistle2:k

Thanks for the info, man! I'll stop by there on my way up to Cleveland on Friday and see if I can't use a $15 off controller coupon from TRU since they don't have an expiration date printed on them afaik.

How would you use that @ BB?

I think he's talking about the Halo Reach ones, they don't mention where they work or the dates so it is possible he could get it to work. Worth a try at least.

Guess I'll have to store inventory snoop again. I could use one more 360 controller and I can give the games to my GF since I've bought them all off XBL already.

Just picked up a TvsC stick for $29.99 at the Torrance, CA store. They have 2 left. Haven't seen them at any other BB stores I normally check in the OC.

Is the TVC stick compatible w/ all VC games? I'd love to play some VC w/ this baby since it's probably as close as I'm gonna get to playing using my NES Advantage stick.

Can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work, but when I get home tonight (and if I remember) I'll fire up some VC games and see how it handles.

Is there a link to this still available?

Tested the stick out with an NES, SNES, and Wiiware game (Megaman 9). It worked for all of them, but the button layout takes some getting used to. I also seem to be less accurate (I tried Mario games) with it, but if the question is purely whether or not you can use it with VC games, it'll definitely work.

Just wanted to give you an update.

Last night I bought :wii: Endless Ocean: Blue World (Wii Speak Bundle) at Best Buy for just $17.99.

Excellent deal for those who don't have the Wii Speak Accessory. The software alone is $29.99 at most places.

The game has received very good reviews, and I think it's one of those games that will become kinda rare in the future (just like the first one). So, if you like to collect Nintendo games, this is a great deal. The game also includes Club Nintendo Points.

While not a really good deal(to me at least), one of my local BB stores has:

:ps3:Bioshock 2 LE-$69.99

It's 50% off of that price, so $35 after discount. Not a deal to me in the least and the outer sleeve for it is beat to shit already.

Besides that they have mostly PC/PS2/360 stuff that's still overpriced at the current prices.

I saw the Bioshock 2 LEs at one of my local BBs for $50.

Also, @Strell: there is no link to the Halo Reach TRU coupons. They were in store only.

Good game for all ages who love sea life. After the main story, it can get very long if you want to complete every story line.

Hey guys, I just have a quick question. I'm sorry if this has already been asked/answered, I tried searching the forum and all I get is a white page instead of the results.

Anyway, I wanted to do a pricematch at Best Buy and was just curious how you guys do it. Do you get the game and then go ask if they will pricematch it? Do you ask first, then get the game? Do you go to customer service to ask, just ask at the register, etc?

I know you can kind of get a different answer each time, so I just want to see what the experts have done so I have the best chance.

Thanks!
