Official CAG 2007 "Look what I got for Christmas!" thread
wawa? isn't that a philly thing or somethin?
I have no idea what Wawa is in philly, but here (VA) it's a gas station/sandwich/coffee shop (like Sheetz, basically, more focused on food than a 7/11). The Wawa is always busy as far as gas (since it stays like 3 or 4 cents cheaper or something) so I'll be using it for sandwiches probably.

i also went and got myself this mofo, i needed it pretty bad.

To sum up Wawa think of a 7-11 with a Subway inside and a gas station with the cheapest gas around.

yeah we kinda got things like that in the pacific northwest siiide. we call 'em hi-co villages and they usually also have a laundromat and sometimes a built in car wash. i just know the term from the bloodhound gang and the CKY dudes.

Wii
1600 Live Points Card
Pair of Reeboks
America (The Daily Show book)
$40 GC to GameStop
$20 to the local movie theater
$90 cash

(Won't be wearin' the Reeboks. I hate getting clothes/apparel as gifts- my family never gets it right.)
Little fucker bit me! He certainly doesn't seem very social (as some hamsters can be) and after letting him sleep the day away, I decided to take him out of his cage. Well, the little bastard bit me! I certainly don't want him so if any CAG'er wants a free hamster in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area, let me know!

Oh.. yeah.. he is a Teddy Bear Hamster (tan and white) and comes with a free cage, food, etc.
Yea, you don't want to wake hamsters up, they get very defensive. Never put your hand near it when you want it up. Other than that....they should be friendly

Got for X-mas:
a Puma hoddie from parents
Super Mario Galaxy from parents
$25 from parents
red pocket money from grandma (chinese thing)
either a ipod classic or zune 80 from my sister (I get to choose it tomorrow)

- $150

- $25 to Shell Gas
- Assassin's Creed Altair Action Figure
- Box of Airheads [ candy ]
- The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead by Max Brooks [ book ]
- World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks [ book ]

Here's the list

Starting off I went up to the Sumner, WA area (kinda near seattlle, sorta) to spend time with my Fiancee's family. Had a white elephant gift exchange, spent the evening there and drove home back to Vancouver, WA (2 1/2hrs on I-5) traffic was shitty as was the weather to spend the rest of the day with my parents.

So from gf's family
One moleskin notebook and journal
$50 cash
$25 gc to Olive Garden (from white elephant)

Betwen the two of us, from my aunt and uncle we got a $50 bed, bath and beyond gc.

From my Fiancee
Tommy Hillfinger wallet
Money Clip
Ratchet and Clank

From my family
Simpsons movie with free doughnuts (my brother got me this)
$25 gc to Fred Meyer
$50 gc to Macy's
$15 gc to Hastings
New Samsung cell phone
Fannel pants
Vodka and Kaluha Shooters
Targus Laptop cooling pad (will be taking this back, cause it sucks)
Leather bound day Planner, very professional looking
And a leather briefcase to be bought when I start working, by that I mean I'm not taking that crummy sales job I was posting about.

I got an iPod Classic 160GB
2 DS games (Flash Focus and Cooking Mama 2)
GH3 T-shirt
and my 360 died on X-Mas day.

Since I have pretty much everything I need I would tell people who asked that "I guess I could use some Xbox Live Points." I figure they only cost $20 so if anyone wanted to get me something they would be cheap enough.

Last week two of my brothers sent me Xbox Live Point Cards.

The day before Christmas at the office party three of my four underlings gave me Xbox Live Point Cards. The other one gave me a huge popcorn tin full of really good home made fudge cookie things. She knew I liked them cookies and won't give me the recipe because it's a family secret.

On Christmas morning my girlfriend gives me something. Then we get out of bed, I make breakfast, and then she gives me that something again. Then we get out of the couch and give each other gifts. I give her some jewlery, a new ipod, a hair dryer, and a Nintendogs DS Lite bundle (she was using my hand me down DS Phat). She gives me Guitar Hero 3 and two Xbox Live Point Cards.

We go to her Dads house and he gives me an Xbox Live points card. We eat lunch and then drive the four hours to my parents house. They give me two Xbox Live Points cards and $100. We eat dinner and drive home.

Now I have 14,400 in Xbox Live Points and I only really want four games.

Some of my stash I got before x-mas from my friends, but here goes...

Early X-mas gifts:
GrimGrimoire
Bioshock
The Darkness

Actual X-mas:
The Fifth Element: Ultimate Edition DVD
In Flames: Used and Abused...In Live We Trust DVD
Alexisonfire: Watch out! CD
$70
Bookcase
New Super Mario Bros.
Drummer's Throne (for Rock Band)
Dress shirt
Socks
Boxers
Planet Terror t-shirt
Party Bar Action Light (I have no idea what the fuck it is. It looks like a poor man's lightsaber or better yet, one of those lights that guides planes except more shitty).
A cap
Gundam figures
Zombie Fluxx card game

Not a bad haul. Plus my friend paid for the movies yesterday and today and dinner. So got to see Dewy Cox (yay) and AVP: R (bleh. Goddamn generic side characters and ONE Predator vs. abuncha Aliens and the evil Jamican Alien/Predator hybrid).

360 (a falcon)
Earth Defense Force
Winning Eleven
Guitar Hero 2
COD4
All-Pro Football

Fire Pro Wrestling Returns (PS2)
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum (PS2)
King Of Fighters XI (PS2)

Araknoid (DS)
Phoenix Wright 2 (DS)

and a few gift certs

and then this
for the secret santa, I got:

and a issue of Weird Tales that I don't have
Spending Christmas with the girlfriend's family in Dallas. Didn't expect anything, but still got gifts.

- $20 Macy's giftcard
- $50 Best Buy giftcard
- $70 cash (red envelopes FTW!)
- $50 Visa giftcard
- two Dallas Cowboys shirts (Texans are big on this)
- new wallet
- lots and lots of Vietnamese food. I've gained three pounds in two days.
- lots and lots of Vietnamese food. I've gained three pounds in two days.
Ah, the holidays. :D
Ah, the holidays. :D
Apparently, there's no Vietnamese phrase for "No more, I'm full." If there is, my girlfriend purposely isn't teaching me it because her aunts and grandmother insist I keep eating.

Example - yesterday I was presented with a big bowl of pho. Immediately followed by meatloaf. :)

And a partridge in a pear tree... but no, I got some other stuff like a shirt or two, a bracelet, a necklace. I was hoping to get Eye of Judgement for some reason, and I expected one person to get me the Mega Man X Collection because he desperately wants me to play Mega Man and says those are easier. Also expected someone would snatch up some Animaniacs volumes for me, because I love that show, but I can't complain. Honestly.

Lest you think it was all sunshine and roses though, I had to go to the hospital the day before, and haven't been feeling well since then. I'm also going to have to get my wrists operated on because I'm getting carpal tunnel in both. That and I have about no time to watch or play any of these things anyway.

Anyway, that's my haul.
