I was going to cancel mine since I have a backlog, but then I saw people are paying more than $100 on eBay(!) so I'm not worried about losing money if I decide to boot it from my backlog before I get to it.

That is interesting. I actually bought one from Amazon and it came it pristine condition. At least the box itself; I never broke the seal and actually returned it.

When you return it, there are options that you can select for your reason of return. I selected that "I just didn't want it/changed my mind". Shipping it back cost me $6. If I had to guess, it's that other people also returned it, A LOT of people, and selected other options that may not incur a return shipping fee.

Amazon won't charge you return shipping fees if it was an issue on their end (like item was damaged during shipping). I think a lot of people returned it and selected these options to save themselves $6.

I don't see how anything could be damaged inside, because the statue is protected well with a plastic formed shell and the statue itself seems very sturdy (from unboxing videos). And as I said, the PE shipped to me in pristine condition; not a single dent or crease on the box. It just wasn't worth $160 to me (not even $120 if BB sold it and I had GCU applied)

I don't understand why people are paying more when you can still pre-order from the SquareEnix store...
 
My Homeworld CE has changed to shipping today (a status I didn't know existed...). So hopefully I'll be getting it soon and everyone else's will also be shipping today :)

 
Alright CAG, I admit I bought Homeworld CE in a whim. Have no idea what the game is about, but as a CE collector, loved the goodies. So far seen some youtube vids. Feels like thr Command and Conquer games. Had no idea this series was popular in the PC community.

I almost bought this, but I couldn't do it since I didn't know one thing about this game also. Stupid collecting craze I'm on needs to stop.

My "justification" is I'll have the last of my debt gone then, so a semi celebration purchase. Paid off my house last year but ended up buying a car....a couple hours later. Nice three hours debt free while it lasted, but you only live once, right? :lol: Figured those years of sacrifice to get there deserved a reward of diving back in.

I paid off my car last year and am slowly paying off my other debts and have abit of extra cash for collectors. I luckily didn't impulse buy the Claptrap edition. I can live with buying Homeworld CE for 99.99 and not knowing much about the series, but a claptrap for 399.99 or higher, that I can't live with myself for that, to each there own impulses and cravings, I guess.

 
I still have a Claptrap :ps4: preorder open but realistically I cant see myself keeping it.  If someone here wants it I'd be glad to work something out for just cost plus shipping

It's also worth noting that I had my order adjusted by support this weekend to the $49.99 price and it is now BACK to $59.96 in my order...this is going to be a fight.
 
I got an email from SE earlier today about making sure I get my pre-order for FF Type-0 HD CE in time for release day delivery.  This verbiage stuck out to me:

IIRC they did. They had some sort of exclusive cover art I believe (though I may be mistaking it for the EU release which did).

The EU release is exclusive to the SE store. The US was available from multiple retailers. the US box also is black with a large ps4 logo on the slip cover while the EY version is white. EU also got a small poster instead of art cards.
 
This Wednesday morning's Metal Gear Solid V announcement is most likely for the official release date of the game. There is a *chance* that they could also reveal a Collector's Edition of the game, too. I have no source - I am simply saying to be on the lookout...

Announcement hits at 9AM est/8AM cst. Just a heads up since many recent CE's have been selling out quickly (Claptrap, Skull Kid, etc...)
