Thanks for the heads up, the Bestbuy near me actually has one that wasn't picked up. I really just wanted the statue for my collection since I have no time for the game right now. Seeing how I can sell the game/dlc/artbook and probably get my $86 back and essentially get the statue for free, it's a no brainer.

All of my Best Buys are telling me it will be two weeks (or ten days) before they release any of the pre-ordered copies to the public.

I guess each store must be making up their own policies. I haven't seen any policy of "10 days" anywhere. Their policy has been stated in their Best Buy Unboxed forums, too. And they are telling you "two weeks" OR "ten days"? Doesn't make much sense. I'm glad my stores were closer to adhering to the actual policy. I'm pretty sure the .com orders will automatically be cancelled after 8 days.

Granted, I didn't think today was the correct day since they were going with "8 days" (today would be day 8), but I wasn't going to argue.

I'm pretty sure there have been quite a few. Off the top of my head, "The Last of Us Pandemic Edition", "Final Fantasy XII CE", "Ninja Gaiden Sigma CE", "Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 CE" were all Gamestop exclusives along with the others mentioned.

Allow me to be clearer. :) I've been told both ten days and two weeks (by different stores), so it's possible that "ten days" might actually mean "ten business days" which translates to "two weeks". The Best Buy I just spoke to that still has stock said that they were pre-ordered in-store. Was it possible to pre-order the Imperial Edition in-store?

Also, I just read that post and it looks like regardless of how the game was pre-ordered that it SHOULD be available to the general public by tomorrow at the latest (8 days after release), so I may be calling them up again or stopping by:

So has there been any updates on the halo 5 ce? Really thinking of canceling my order and sticking with the LE since that has a steelbook as well.

Yeah, all of the ones that weren't picked up at my closest store were in-store pre-orders. I have a feeling that since this was delayed many either don't care anymore or forgot they pre-ordered it over a year ago. Although, I thought Best Buy required a deposit for in-store pre-orders, so I would've thought these people would at least want their deposit back.

 
Instore preorder only requires $5 deposit for most games. Only exception is on consoles which i think required $25 minimum. Most people probably just put down minimum so i dont think its a big of a deal. You can always get your money back whenever you go to CS.

Thank you. You just saved me some money lol. Canceling this version and sticking with the LE.

Edit: just saw an article on ign about the different editions. Seems the Guardian edition $250 only comes with the statue that is numbered and additional content so probably armor and shaders and weapons for in game use. Still not worth it to me.

Here's what I found after a quick search but looks like they made a typo-error on their site because the only difference between the 2 appears to be a "14 premium requisition packs" entry?!?

GS had the Fallout 4 CE go up for Web In Store only purchases (pay full in store at time of preorder) about 8 pm central last night. It was then on the website early this morning during the Nintendo/Square Enix pressers but now it's already sold out on all 3 platforms.

 
Pre-ordered the Halo 5 LE from bestbuy.com for in-store pickup on launch day. Came out to around $84 after GCU discount + tax. Also get $10 credit. Pretty good deal for what's normally a $100 LE. 

 
fuck that garbage with the Destiny stuff including the game and first two expansions already.  Dumb ass shit right there, and very indicative of what kind of bad will Bungie has been creating for themselves.

I guess they figure a ton of the people who bought it have already given up on the game long ago.

Pre-ordering at Gamestop in the store is different than the website. In-store has a $5 deposit, with a higher deposit price for CE's as you mention. The web pre-orders don't require a deposit and do not charge until shipping or picking up in-store if you can pick that option.

You did instore PO? Yeah, i bet the staff just screwed with you into paying it in full right now. They only ask full payment if your doing web to store/house instore.

If you're talking about Kingdom Hearts 2.5 CE, I got an order in approximately 3 minutes after your post. Seems to went OOS a few minutes later.
