I remembered Fire Emblem Awakening and Monster Hunter 4 were both hard to find at Launch if you didn't preorder. They eventually came back. However, there has been extremely niche titles (on all platforms) that has very limited printruns. And was gone forever once it sold all copies.

Putting canceled CEs back up after a game comes out seems to be a thing of the past. They tend to just hold on to them for a few weeks for returns and then just send them to random stores.

 
My elusive Devil's Third copy actually showed up from the dell.com $30 price screw up. Is this considered a rare collector's edition at this point lol?

Well they do put them up again if there are a sufficient amounts of cancellations. Like the MGS V phantom pain CE or Tales of Zestiria CE, but definitely not something like the Juggernog. They probably only had a few after the cancellations.

Yes, although the run doesn't appear to be as limited as people were first claiming. Lots of reports of people getting it from Bestbuy.com and Gamestop.com even if you preordered up until release. It does appear to be tough to find in actual stores though with only some Gamestop locations receiving it and generally only one more copy than the number of preorders they had.

 
So my reship for Xeno X came in. even if it came acceptable condition and surprising enough packed well. It has inspected by best buy tape all over it. Should I be wary? I did mention that fuck Ontrac "handled" it last time so maybe I'm just paranoid.

 
It looks like BB has the Life is Strange SE back on the website. The picture for the PS4 version is still wrong but the Xbox one is right. I don't know what going on with that but at least they are both there now for those who want to order it again.

Amazon is way to customer-friendly that it would likely be an easy thing to complain about to them and have them rule in your favor.

No, it just received a low print run and everywhere is sold out right now. Given how crappy the game supposedly is, I think people are just assuming it won't get a second printing.

My order for it from VideoGamesPlus.ca switched status to "Processing". I'm cautiously optimistic.
 
I'm guessing they were too pot-committed to do a digital only release for D3, I would've preferred to get a physical copy of the new Fatal Frame game instead.

Sadly someone got the copy I was going for yesterday minutes before I got there.  I was able to get an order in on the website, so we'll see how that goes.

That just means it was shipped from a store and they used the wrong tape. The "Inspected by" tape is mainly so customers know an item was opened before and so the security guy at the front knows someone didn't just seal something "extra" in there to steal it.

Oh that wouldn't be a problem at all. Im pretty sure its like Ebay. If you list an item NEW it has to be actually new. In a sealed, unopened package. They dont play that used is new bullshit that gamestop plays. If you open something it is no longer new. Im not sure how thats confusing to anyone but GS. It would be 'like new' at best or something

It's SE exclusive I believe, so the only other place would be eBay :(

I've had really good luck with their "wait list" options though. They send out a link that's not available to the general public (until it gets posted here or something) and you can order it, but I think its only for a short window before they show the remaining stock online. I've gotten 2 or 3 of their CEs in this manner since I usually wait til the last minute.

From what I'm told by people on this forum, this isn't a traditional FF game (what is this anymore anyway?) but a traditional MH (Monster Hunter) type game so that was a no deal for me. Square-Enix has been eating my soul like a school of piranha eating a cow that's fallen into the Amazon River...

Yea, if they're already on Waiting List, I doubt GS will get any like they did with the Dragon Quest Heroes "exclusive" CE.

Not sure how SE decides which exclusives it will share with GS.  I get them not expecting DQH to sell out on its own, but you'd think they'd have more luck selling out of the $150 Tomb Raider CE's they have sitting around if they had them in GS as well.
