I normally try to wait until the week of but looking at FO4 Pipboys, the value plummet as it get closer to release date.

Really, why is it my fault for listing early? This is clearly an issue eBay needs to address. Why would you I be at fault when the culprit is actually the scammer.

I'm not trying to derail this topic, but since this is the collector's thread, just wanted to see if there are any experience CAG who have experience a similar issue and can provide helpful insights.

First and foremost the title of the thread says no discussion of reselling which you are already discussing in detail. With that being said, you are selling a preorder for an item that you do not even have in possession which is against eBay's terms of service which could go against you if the buyer claims something went wrong with the transaction.

I've sold to new sellers before though. If you follow the guidelines of using signature confirmation and all that its hard to argue. I've had ppl open claims and I haven't lost because of my eBay track record. I am around 350 feedback so you have definitely been around longer. I wouldn't worry all that much since they paid but you should really follow eBay terms of service

Thanks, I'm just going to cancel the order. buyer's address/door # is not even avail on zillow or google map. street name is there but no door # remotely close to what was provided. this has scam written all over it.

Thanks everyone for your opinion and re-assurance. probably will cancel and take the neg feedback hit.

 
so just took a look for the first time at the rewards you can buy on the square enix site and lol'd. Not only do they charge you tax on something that is free, but you also have to pay shipping on any item lol, so I have enough members points for a 3ds pouch but they are charging me 7.99 shipping. Jesus Squeenix, you know just how to treat your fans dont you...

 
Given that the earlier discussion regarding Devil's Third took place in this thread, I figured I'd post this here.   If you search Amazon for "Devi's Third wii U" the listing for the game within the search results has a note that says that Amazon will have it back in stock on December 26, 2015.   If you click through to the actual product listing page there is no mention of that (and no placeholder for a "sold by Amazon" within the "other sellers" page).   Not sure if the search results note is accurate or not but I figured I'd mention it.

Does anyone know what the heck is going on with BBY an Life is strange CE? My original order for ps4 showed xbox version when i looked at it so i canceled and ordered the PS4 version again... same thing happened. I just checked and its showing the Xbox version in my order history. I remember several of you having the same problem. Should i cancel and try again? WTF is going on?

Yea GS friggin sucks for this but it seems particularly bad lately. I had to order 9 friggin copies of One piece for the vita before i actually got a new one, and not so me opened used gut bullshit

It looks like they may have finally corrected the listings for the game. Originally they had the PS4 version in with the XBox One games and the XBox One version sorted with the PS4 games. I ordered both since I wasn't sure what was going on, but now I will likely cancel the Xbox One version since they seem corrected.

 
Should have just not canceled. I ordered PS4, it changed to Xbox, I just kept it and its back to PS4. 

I refused to cancel since I ordered waaaaaaay back before it was pulled the first time and it gave me the Limited Edition for the standard price.  :D

I'm keeping both my pre-orders with Best Buy and will return the XB1 version when it shows up, regardless of the order it shows up under.

Amazon still has their shit together on keeping the right version with the right SKU # / ASIN #.

Zoomed in on the picture, it literally is a metal case and not a steelbook; the spine splits in half. It's a nice looking artwork for the case, but I voted for the small wall scroll or "kakemono"

True but wasn't a normal restock those two times. It was found out with so many receiving damaged and some even tampered ones that the restocks which sold out in less then hour time anyhow were the damaged returns shipped out and sent back from the initial pre orders

Lightning Returns for PS3, but that's still like two out of how many?

One could lump Bravely Default and FF:T - CC into that mix too, but I think only Lightning Returns and KH sell for any value over its original MSRP.

FFXIV:HW CE was on waitlist for over two months, but it came back in stock. FF Type 0 as well.

I guess it could sell out because of a handful of examples, but the trend is they will be back in stock with way too many to go around.

Hmm so i guess i should just cancel the 2nd pre order i did and re order it a 3rd time? For sure its fixed now right? Im sick and tired of doing this over and over. If i order the pS4 le, it will actually be the PS4 LE right?

When I had to talk to CS earlier today, I also asked them to fix my ps4 order of LiS that was showing up as xbox one. She said on her end it was showing up as ps4 not xbox one. :wall:

Hmm so i guess i should just cancel the 2nd pre order i did and re order it a 3rd time? For sure its fixed now right? Im sick and tired of doing this over and over. If i order the pS4 le, it will actually be the PS4 LE right?

It might be best to preorder both of them and sort it out later at release.

 
Long time lurker, first time poster.

I just went to trade in some games to put some more money down on FE: Fates SE at gamestop. The dude said the system pulled up my preorder as "DO NOT RESERVE" and removed the sku, but my $25 was still down. He called some people and called the manager and none of them had any idea what was going on, but figured they just oversold and started cancelling preorders. They tried to get me to cancel my preorder and get a giftcard for the amount of my trades plus the $25 cash I put down. I refused and said I'll just take my chances on release day.

Do you think they are actually oversold and are cancelling preorders or was that corporate's way of preventing stores from taking any more? Do you think it will just be limited supplies and first come first serve?

 
Honestly, if you're worried, I'd show up when they open on release day. It could very well be first come first serve for pre-orders if they're actually short, unless they go by order date, which takes more work.

 
Got my Trails Lionheart today. Came in a box from BBY. it's a pretty durable pack it comes in, so doubt many will come damaged. Oh, and for those who didn't get it yet, it's too thick for a bubble mailer, so rest assured.

So if that one poster ordered 10 of them, it was a waste of time :p

Good to hear! Whenever I see sent in "package" instead of box it is usually a bubble mailer but we will see~~~ Stuck at work for a few more hours :(

 
Damn, NISA had a copy of the Rodea WiiU LE this morning. Looks like it got snagged while I was at work.

Gamefly's current sale has standard used copies for $29.99, hoping to hear something soon about whether or not they're launch copies with the Wii version included.
