you can transfer stuff from existing PS4 to new PS4 with just an external hard drive.  You can back up all your saves and games to a USB drive (2TB or less though ppl report issues with bigger), then attach that to any new PS4 and restore the games/saves/etc.  Pretty easy and simple.

You CANNOT transfer an internal ps4 drive from one to another though, they are locked to that machine and will reformat when you put it in a new PS4.  You must use the PS4 backup/restore features.

i'd agree the taken king white ps4 is ugly as sin, and will be a fingerprint/sticky magnet.  Also with only 500gb I wonder if its not the revised model that uses less power.  imo the Final Fantasy XV or maybe an Uncharted 4 CE ps4 is gonna be the one that rocks.

Your backup can get corrupt too so make sure when you restore it, it actually complete the process. I formatted my original HDD drive during the restoring process and 20 minutes later the restoring process stopped because it was corrupted, I lost everything.

I want to swap to a bigger HD too but I feel committed to the old one and scared to lose things. I'm not even sure which replacement HD would be the one to get or if splurging for a SSD is worthwhile. I always think to myself bah, better just save that $50-100 and put it towards a new 1 TB+ model. I'm not sure how to break the cycle.

A SSD doesn't offer much of an improvement over a 7200-RPM drive or a SSHD. There have been tests on it, and the PS4 just doesn't/can't make use of the SSD's speeds, possibly because of its slower, SATA II port (though I haven't seen that verified as the case).

I can't remember if I used GC credit or "promo credit" on my AZ order. Has anyone had issues with promo credit being issued back after canceling an order?

According to the terms, you DO lose the promo. You can contact support and get a "one time adjustment" if you're polite.

This isn't a CE, but it's a video game statue similar to (but hopefully much higher quality than) the statues included in most CEs.

I've never spent $160.70 so fast in my life. It looks like a beautiful statue from my favorite game of all time, even though I can only find two pictures of it on the internet, both of which are unfortunately from the same angle.

Once or twice in the past, Best Buy has oversold CEs, canceled a bunch of preorders as a result, then sent e-GCs to those who placed those preorders.

It doesn't happen often, but it can still happen.

It used to happen all the time in the pre-GCU days.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced a special edition version of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection set to ship alongside the standard edition.

The special edition includes a StelBook, handful of stickers, and a 48-page “The Art of Uncharted Trilogy” art book, which features a hand-picked selection of concept art from Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is due out on October 9 in North America and October 7 in Europe.

My guess is that the artwork will be excerpts from the full-sized The Art of Uncharted Trilogy that Dark Horse published earlier this year. So if you're interested in that piece of it, just get the bigger art book. But let's face it, we all just want the Steelbook

I have a question about Destiny. I already have a digital copy of Destiny on PS4, and the 1st expansion. So say I was to buy this $80 CE for Taken King would it include all the stuff on 1 disc? Or would their be codes to go along with the game? Reason why I am asking is I was wondering if I would be able to get rid of the Destiny game and the 1st expansion to recoup some money since I won't need them. Or would I be better off just buying the 2nd exp, and Taken King when it comes out and having to do without the CE stuff.

I liked playing Journey. I don't know if I could put it up there as the GOTY but it was certainly unique and the type of the game that I have a hard time describing to others what it's like when I recommend them to try it out. It's just simply one of those games that can only be understood by playing it yourself. The way they incorporate multiplayer is so neat. A very simple and short 2 hour game that you can pick up and learn in less than 3 minutes. For anybody that never got to play it on the PS3, Journey just got rebuffed for the PS4 a couple of weeks ago.

I was told by a gs employee it would include the game on disc and the expansions would be codes. I dont know for certain of he knew what he was talking about but that seems to make sense with what bungie did for the first CE + season pass.

Not saying that isn't true, because I don't know, but it's hard for me to imagine them putting the Taken King content on-disc especially in light of how cash grabby everything surrounding Destiny is.
