I've pre-ordered two things from them (Witcher 3 CE and Batman: Arkham Knight LE) and have had no problems. In fact I've received the games before the expected delivery date (still not release day delivery though).

Thank you I hope there wouldn't be any problem! I was lucky to get a pre-order from GS just in case. But in case I got the CE from walmart, will I be able to return the CE to Gamestop for a full refund?

Hrm . . . I'm dumb and have been trying to get Destiny:  The Taken King's Physical Collectors edition for Xbox One, but it's been out of stock for some time.  Any tips on getting my hands on one without being gouged by ebay?  This question especially goes out to Gamestop employees!

If you check your local stores late on the day on release and see if they still have any copies, ask them when they would be available for general public purchase.

I actually canceled my preordered CE after getting a standard copy for $30 due to Best Buy's half-off glitch back in May. I still have the CE guide preordered, though.

I also want to try to avoid reading any reviews of MGS V, but regardless...

I have already spent close to $650 total for MGSV with all of the stuff I have ordered.  Only things left are the Day One Editions for both PS3 and 360 I need to get.  Hopefully that MGS V PS4 console looks good next to my MGS IV PS3 I have sitting on my entertainment stand.

 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can change payment methods when you pre-order on Amazon right? I've got some Gamestop credit I can use and I'm thinking about pre-ordering the MGS V CE.

Right but this CE was announced and mainly sold out back in mid-March, well before we got an idea of what was going on with Konami. I just wondered if there's been an unboxing of the CE or if someone has watched the documentary if it was still included.

Not bad

I'm right with you lol minus the Premium and French copies. I just try to get it on every system, and the different versions. I did score the Ground Zeroes PS4 HDD cover though for a good price.

I preordered the standard edition, the collector's edition, and the collector's guide (all US versions).  Really debated on the console but still ended up not pulling the trigger.  I've never scheduled a day off of work for a game before but I'm thinking about doing it on Sept. 1st now.

Three reasons:

1) I had the PSN credit to spare by a long shot

2) I get to play it Monday night at 9pm since I'm on the West coast. I have to work on Tuesday for sure. No getting out of it.

3) Although my PS4 is still playing disc games just fine I am worried that one time my PS4 turned itself on and spit out a Batman Arkham Knight disc. I don't want to run into an error of it not reading/taking the disc.

Bonus reason is my roommate could play the disc copy.

MGS V digital is the only major release this fall that doesn't have a midnight Eastern digital release. It's midnight Pacific, or 2-3 AM Tuesday for a significant portion of the US.

It started that way but they changed/corrected it. At least on PS4 anyway. PS4 copies unlock at 9pm PST and 12am EST like other pre-orders do. About 8 days and 50 minutes until the pre-orders unlock.

I don't think this was eligible to be shipped to store for pickup or preordered in store though. Correct me if anyone has theirs preordered in store.
 
Anyone know any downsides to importing from GAME to the united states?

I want to import the collectors edition console for MGS4, and they lowered the price to 319.99 pounds which after shipping comes to about 510 US dollars.

It seems like by far the cheapest option, but I feel like I am missing something here. Has anyone imported from them at all?

Yea lots of people on here imported just earlier this week, it was up on Amazon fr for 349.99 euros ($400) earlier this week, $510 is quite expensive but seeing how Amazon France sold out, it's probably the cheapest option now.

I am realizing that now..I just saw they wont ship anything over 1000 grams. Maybe thats why my payment was going through.

Oh well. Maybe its a sign. I didnt even think of what a hassle it would be if something happened to the system.... my white PS4's HDMI port just bricked on me and i had to get it fixed through sony... and i read that sony wont repair consoles outside of their origin country.

I guess I am better off just sticking with my white one :/ Im not paying nin nins insane prices lol

Potentially dumb question here, but was anyone else able to get release day shipping on the MGS V collector's edition through Amazon? Standard shipping is the only option available for me, but I have it shipping to a PO Box.
