The monsters scale according to whether you're in solo or in a group, and in the full game if friends join mid-fight the monster will immediately scale up to higher multiplayer-level stats, but not scale back down if they leave. I don't think the game scales according to how many other hunters are with you though.

From my experiences in the beta playing both solo, and with a group of friends who I played MH3U a ton together, two of us couldn't kill Anjanath (the 3rd quest) monster before the 20 minute limit was up on multiple attempts. With 3 people we did it, and with 4 much more easily. Solo was much easier than I was expecting though, and I had no problems finishing the hunt, but I also generally knew what I was doing from past MH experience. The monster did far less damage, and took much less to kill. Would be much more difficult solo for a new player I imagine though.

 
Got my order in just now. Took me 40 tries but I finally got through on Mobile Gamestop's website. Dunno if cancellations will be coming to me or anyone else who got through in the last hour or so. Got the email confirmation and everything. Desktop is impossible atm, Mobile keep refreshing and keep checking cart.

I checked couple gamestop near me, no in store pre-order right now, and they told me they might not even have in-store preorder, due to the release date being so close.

Some store didn't even know this bundle exist.......

 
I have a question about orders directly from Nintendo Japan. 

Can I change my account to another country before the order ships? Nintendo has already fully charged my credit card, but the order (bayonetta 2) won't ship for a few more weeks. I want to use that account to buy from another country's eShop. Will changing the country associated with that account interfere with Nintendo shipping the order? 

 
I don't see where it says exclusive. Usually it's on the page somewhere cuz it's GameStop. Plus isn't God of War collectors edition usually on sale everywhere?
 
I got an order in for the MH PS4 Pro this morning. Took a few tries, but got it in. Not sure if I'll be keeping it, reselling, or returning, but have to do something with all this trade credit...

Where do you see it say exclusive? All I see on the ad is that some dlc shields are a preorder bonus.
That CE looks really good, but even if we get 20% off with GCU it's $120...that's still a bit much imo.

Remember at first Monster Hunter Worlds didn't show as exclusive until after it sold out, so even if slightly interested best to preorder then cancel if it goes up elsewhere.

I wonder how Gamestop packages consoles for shipment? As someone willing to upgrade my current PS4 Pro to the MH one, you bet your ass that I'm just as worried about the console's box as I am the PS4 itself haha.

They generally ship PS4 Pros in a box that is slightly longer than the console and slightly wider with about half an inch of height over the console. I've ordered a few LE consoles from Gamestop in recent years and most have arrived fine with a little corner rubbing, but I did have one that looked like it was damaged with a puncture through the box before it was even shipped. So, I wouldn't worry too much about it, but I also wouldn't expect total perfection.

 
The Shadow of War statue is pretty bad. I bought it at $130 specifically for the statue (was hoping to resell the code to recoup some of the cost). As stated, it’s made of plastic, hollow plastic. And the whole thing is painted the bronze color.

Other than that, the statue looks pretty cool...

Anyone know if Best Buy would ship both the Steelbook and game together? Really worried about my copy coming damaged if I decide to order it because of those shitty ass bubble mailers they use.

They have consistently shipped the steelbook and game separately for me in similar situations in the past. Sometimes they use a bubble mailer and sometimes they use a box, it really varies. I think I've only had one steelbook show up damaged which is lucky compared to the multiple steelbooks I have received damaged from them when I order movies and they ship them in that brown glue mailer.

If you're worried about shipping damage, I would select store pickup.

store pickup all the way. they don't care to package steelbooks at all. My Tekken 7 looked like the mailman beat it with a baseball bat.

And with store pickup, if they hand you a messed up one, you can instantly ask for another.

 
Thanks for the replies.  I normally order like 3 copies of the same game to make sure they are shipped in a box.  Might just bite the bullet this time and do Store Pickup like you all mentioned.

 
I just ordered Mario Kart 8 for Switch with the free steelbook. Best Buy shipped them both in a box together. But I have received other items in an order separate before as well as in a bubble mailer. I have had no damage on items in a bubble mailer, but damage on boxed items. It still happens in both circumstances. Just the luck of the draw.
