It was originally called "Project Octopath Traveler". But it appears they dropped the "Project" part.
The current rumour is that the word "Octopath" corresponds with the first letter of each of thr 8 playable characters (an anagram?).

Yes I managed to grab a copy of the octopath traveler CE after waking up from a nap. Got to love that gcu discount.
 
My GCU just lapsed, anybody tried preordering for in-store, and get GCU several days prior to pick up, and receive GCU discount upon pick up?

 
I got an octopath ce bb preorder. However i didn't get a confirmation email. I even preordered a second one just now and same thing. Anyone get an email?

I only bought one, but I also did not get a confirmation email. It's in my order history so it should be okay, though.

Also got the pre-order pin added to my NNK CE pre-order at BBY. They certainly took their sweet time there.

Acronym, not anagram. An anagram of 'Octopath' would be 'topcoat'.

I've asked this question a million times and while I had bad experience with UK SFV my understanding is redeeming DLC on a UK account still makes it available on your US account of the same system. Annoying but not terrible if it works.

I have a US and UK on order and have thought about making an "ultimate" CE but am trying to avoid it because it's a sutpid idea.

I only have the US Collector's Edition on pre-order, but I'm thinking of switching after watching those videos. Amazon UK seems to have been sold out for months, though some other UK sites still have it available. The other Amazon European stores (DE/ES/FR/IT) all seem to have stock, but would anyone be able to confirm whether or not extras (in this case I suppose it would mostly just be the artbook) reflect different languages based on the Amazon store it was bought from? I have only ever purchased UK goods from the PAL region previously.

Edit: Was being stupid earlier, so answering my own question. Checking the standard editions on each website shows that the languages are different too. Not really sure why I thought that may not be the case earlier, but I'll blame it on being hungry.

Regarding the below sites, I've heard that ShopTo shipped to the US in the past, but the King's Edition page seems to specifically exclude non-EU addresses. If you're willing to gamble on a restock/credit card denials, I'd wait for Amazon UK to get more in.

The Ni No Kuni II King's Edition is available for pre-order at Amazon UK again. Does anyone know if there is a difference in choosing between Standard and AmazonGlobal Standard for shipping? Usually the Global option is cheaper in other Amazon regions, but there's a 14-ish GBP increase over the regular Standard on the UK site.

Standard Ubi stteelbook edition with needless license place and stickers as an exclusive from Ubi store. That said, Ubis years of collectathon open world game design seems to be paying off as a lot of their games have made season passes look much, much better in value. Doesn't change the fact they can be found half price 5 months later.
