I hope I can do the same but I'm not expecting much. Every time I've tried to get in on online releases their site has just disinitegrated until they nuke the page. I remember working during an online amiibo preorder day and that broke all out registers for an hour. Bad times man.

So let me get this straight, theres only 50k of these worldwide which means maybe what, like 20k of these available for NA. But looks like at least 4 retailers are putting up preorders so only very small qty per retailer. Yup bots are gonna end up getting them all.

I assumed this from the get-go. Its going to be like the NES Classic back when it first released and was rare.

Well, except you're talking about a $500 product that is being launched less than two weeks before another Spiderman themed version of the same product. I mean there clearly will be demand, but the universe of people who are going to buy this or scalp this isn't exactly the same as a relatively low cost high demand item like the NES Classic was.

 
NES classic was extremely limited initially. I want to say in the US it was only available by a few thousand units. I don't recall the article citing it but it was typical Nintendo marketing that created an initial short supply of it.

And they'll probably all go live at around the same time. Amazon and gamestop will be the worst, instant freezing. I was lucky on launch night of the nes classic at bestbuy and I'm hoping my luck continues there. They seem to have the most reliable site.

The 500 Million LE is a new CUH that runs quieter but hotter than the first generation Pro; also, the translucent dark blue console shell is apparently a dust-scratch-fingerprint magnet. Love the look, but too high-maintenance for me. Good luck to those trying purchase.

Ugh, this video makes me thankful when Major Nelson uses his white gloves for unboxings. Also, the DF guy in the video mentions it's pretty much sold out everywhere when I don't believe there are even pre-orders available and everyone will have to wait for general release? Am I mis-remembering?

DF is from the UK. Pretty sure the UK did preorders, instead of the way we are doing in the US.

I haven't ordered from GameStop in years... But that price actually seems really good for what you get. I'm sure the statue will be utter garbage but $90 still doesn't seem awful for the game with artbook, soundtrack and steelbook. Hmm

Just read the fine print, soundtrack is digital even though they show a slip for a cd
 
So. For anyone interested in the division 2 preorder hat like me. It looks like a very nice hat in the picture. It's dinky as crap. I skipped out on preorder after seeing it.

With orders being split between so many retailers it will probably also be a crapstorm. I'm trying to be optimistic but the track record for online only console releases is pretty bad if memory serves...

Only Target and Best Buy have been confirmed by Sony so far. Gamestop claims to be getting it and a few online sources have claimed it will go up at midnight central time, but that remains to be seen. Amazon also had a listing, but it has since been pulled.

If you use a regular credit card, they charge nothing now and then do an authorization a week before shipment and a final charge on the day of shipping.

 
I have like $300 credit on my target redcard but don’t have gift cards. What should I do to pay the rest off for that $500M PS4 pro. They don’t really accept target redcard plus another debit/credit card but giftcards

Use your other debit/credit card and buy an egift card, they come pretty fast usually under an hour. Send it to yourself and you can even load the gift card into your target account for faster checkout.

This is partially true. Certain consoles will have special numbering corresponding to special dates in PlayStation history as well. So assuming they do a standard printing of 1-50k, there's probably a little over 50k consoles being produced in total.

My concern is how many here actually want it and how many are going to flip it. My guess is 90% are just in it to resell.

I’ve always advocated banning flippers and making the forum registration required for access. I’m curious to see how many eBay auctions line up with the same CAG forum names come next week.

I'm not getting one, but why does it matter if someone wants to flip one? The more people that flood the market the less profit these people are going to make in general too.

Trust me CAG would be one of the last places flippers rely on to get an advantage on preordering hot items.

So I finally got my Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Collectors Edition.  Stuff was packed well, but man does the box containing the Od Nua statue have really bad shelf wear.  Some of the graphics are stripped away to cardboard on the corners.  But the guide and game box seem to be intact.  Haven't had a chance to look at it in great detail.

 
Damn anyone know how often Ubisoft collectors editions go down in price if at all? The Dark Zone one for Division II looks pretty sweet but exclusive to them?

A few months after release, and from what I've seen it's usually only pc versions left over lol. Tho the Dark Zone edition doesn't say ubi store exclusive only the phoenix shield on says that.

Thanks for the info yea I have already checked BB/Gamestop I haven't seen it listed anywhere. The articles I read online said those 2 were Ubi store items but not exclusive but cant find it anywhere else atm.
