Maybe they should reevaluate their budgets and development priorities and start trimming the fat internally.  The only ones you ever hear bitch about game costs and wanting more money are from the self proclaimed so called "AAA" conglomerates like Ubi, EA, and Activision who are all fat and bloated and top heavy with suits and non development staff to begin with.

Meanwhile others can keep producing games like Tales or Ni no Kuni that are still profitable at 1/50th the sales volume and without the mainstream appeal of the AAA shovelware despite involving renowned animation studios and orchestras which aren't exactly cheap either.

Nope, need moar munny so people like Bobby Kotick can buy more limos and talk shit about how dumb gamers are for handing him their money while claiming they can't afford to make games for less than $150 per game and 10 million units sold. What a racket.

So I'm in a dilemma. I tried to get the 500million ps4 but of course it sold out instantly. So I ended up with a Spiderman ps4, which looks amazing. Especially since my favorite color is red. So I was inside of Best Buy tonight and someone returned a 500mil system brand new in box. No hesitation, I immediately purchased it. Now I'm decided on which one to keep. The blue one is PS history and has a matching camera. However I'm not to amazed by the look of it.  

 
I think the 500m PS4 is sexy as hell. It's glossy and translucent. I like the color scheme, a dark blue and gold. It has a futuristic scheme. Plus it has a 2tb HDD. I'd stick with the 500m, but everyone's tastes are different, if you truly love the Spiderman PS4 better then I guess go with that. You can always upgrade the HDD and sell the 500m or return it.

You saw someone returning it? Wow how lucky of you. With my luck, that’d never happen. But yeah I’d keep that instead if I were you. That’s a celebration of sony’s PS4 and is extremely limited and is the best looking PS4 imo along with the mgs v PS4

It's really hard to see the translucent in my setup with lighting. I do like the gold, don't really gold/bar where the numbers at. There's already a 2tb in my spidey.

I think it's more copper then gold. I've been looking at the pics of the new copper Dualshock 4 and the colors look like they match. I'm looking for a 2nd controller and was going out today to maybe pick up the copper one.

It's bad when I can't even remember that Odyssey is the release this year and not already out. I genuinely thought they weren't having a game this year and their stop-gap was to release a GOTY gold edition. That's how I can tell they've milked that shit so hard I'll never buy another.

So since you won't ever buy another Assassins Creed game that means they included games nobody wants? I never played 3 or Liberation and I doubt I'm the only one.

I personally can’t wait for the remasters! I beat Liberation on PS3 and loved it so I’ll most likely go back to it again and I would love to finish 3 since I encountered a bug that wouldn’t let me progress. It had me stuck in the middle of a mission and the worst part was that I had even collected all the feathers or whatever they were lol. Three was definitely one of my favorites next to Black Flag of course.

Forever. You should see some of what Fry's does with limited stuff. Remember when the NES Classic became rare and they charged $100/each for it. It isn't illegal to do so, just looked down upon so stores do it from time to time.

Does NewEgg price match? Could pm it and still get the free item.

I didn’t know this. I expect this is the type of shady stuff where publishers would stop supplying the retailer in the future, blacklisting them.

They threaten smaller stores of that but I've never heard of anyone being cut off since MSRP is just a suggestion that doesn't need to be followed. They wouldn't blacklist a big store though regardless of price since they buy so much inventory. No one wants to cut off a consistent money chain.

Three was completely bland apart from them working out the kinks for AC4 with naval missions. If you've played Black Flag, you've already played the best parts of #3.

 
Does anyone know how long Beat Buy’s holds stay on your credit card for? I preordered the Smash Switch bundle last week and it hasn’t gone away.

I'm happy with the ToV CE, personally. Would've preferred a Xillia-esque figure, but the diorama is still cool. Got in an order for a PS4 copy.

 
Did anyone else see what I assume is the "Requires internet connection" notice at the top of the Switch version's box art? There seems to be more text there than what I've seen on LA Noire, but knowing Bandai-Namco, it's probably just the same message in 2-3 languages.

I love Repede and just wanted that steelbook but...$110 for pretty much that alone is too rich for my blood. Will probably pass and hope I can get the steelbook later on for a decent price.

 
Speaking of Tales CEs, why is the CE of Berseria so much rarer than its predecessors? I was able to snag each one when they went live for preorders EXCEPT for Berseria :( 

 
Hmmmm, the North American one lists the game as “TOV definitive edition-full game” and then lists it as “game software” in the picture. Makes me wonder if it’s a download code and not the actual physical copy of the game. Why would it need to say “full game” otherwise? Maybe I’m just reading into it too much.

wow the European CE is waaaaaay better than the NA for Tales of Vesperia? Why the hell does Namco think we would want a diorama over a soundtrack and collectible cards and a legit art book?

Whoever is in charge of making these needs to be fired.

 
I tried to order the European version and I can’t even access the Europe site, I just get redirected back to .com. Anyone know how to order the European version and do they even ship to the US?

And what even is that "diorama"? It's quite a stretch to even call it a diorama. It looks like a folded cardboard background that you stand keychains in front of. Haha.... unbelievable. Now that spinning battle scene diorama in the Ni No Kuni II CE is looking pretty good! Then again, that one was way more expensive. Was.

I would've instantly ordered the EU version.
