One of the things I love about GameStop is their free release day delivery.

Oh no wait, they don’t have it, and I get RDR2 steelbook version on Monday. And still paid shipping. Cool.

It's a survival game. It'll be more like Conan Exiles, Ark Survival, or Minecraft. It's a "make your own fun" kind of game. The story was the only reason I had a little interest in past Fallout games.. They were decent games that had little replay value for me. Elder Scrolls was a lot better overall IMO.

Doubt I'll go out tonight for my RDR2 copy. I'm trying to finish AC Odyssey still before starting that monster.

every video I found of this game looks like absolute smeared dogshit on the graphics level, idk man, it does have some ok talent behind it at least so I guess it could be alright

Definitely an interesting idea for a visual representation kind of abstract/impressionist, but it does look awful, like a PhotoShop filter applied to the video output. If it was done in more of a way like Okami,then maybe it would work. Some gameplay footage I watched looks kind of neat, but for the most part is very muddled. I imagine this is a fairly slow-paced game otherwise the visuals would really cause a problem with gameplay.

 
I saw a red dead redemption 2 collectors box today in a store. The thing that says online only on their website. No one pre ordered it, it was just there but had to be picked up tomorrow. I was a little annoyed that they had it in a store when it was a online only item. Could've saved 7.50 for shipping and having to wait til Monday to get mine.

My local GameStop was pushing preorders for it when I went in on Tuesday. They probably only hot a handful at each store.
 
Random question

Anyone get a RDR2 Ultimate edition for PS4 and would be willing to either sell or give me the outer box for it? Mine is a bit banged up as we’re all of them at my GameStop I went to. Just wanted to swap mine out if yours is in good shape.

If I had known they were allowing pre-orders I would've put one down too but my local really close gamestop wasn't doing that the last time I went in which was a few months ago. Really wanted that zippo lighter and collapsible shot cup too...Some one preordered that zippo lighter at the store I saw the collectors box and I had no idea they allowed preorders on that as well.

Tbh mine ain’t that bad. I swapped it out immediate as the first one I got was torn. This one has a couple minor blemishes but at this point they are so hard to see and I’m just being mad anal lol

So i foolishly ordered a Ni No Kuni 2 Revenant King King Ed game from Amazon.DE months ago and after getting into a bind with work travel failed to cancel it. It shipped out in March-April and i just got it today. Box was beat the heck up and has been thru hell. I swore the game was done and nope somehow survived the trip intact. Only thing it was packed in was packing paper.

Huh, fairly certain I've seen stuff like that before actually. It may have been the last time I was at a ThinkGeek store TBH, which makes sense.

I think the only thing i bought that was not trashed was my MGS 5 PS4 system from the UK. Came in with no issue at all but this one was like months later and the box all torn up from DHL delivery. Honestly don't know what to do with the game now after the hype has died down for it. Probably out of my return policy as well.

Yeah got the email as well. Still fairly convinced I'm going to cancel my pre order anyway. The helmet looks cool but the game seems so bland and boring and un-fallout that I really don't think it's worth, for me at least
 
I canceled my power armor order but kept my standard edition order from pre-gcu and membership cancellation (GCU violation). They added the steelbook to that order, which makes me less bitter.
 
about to join the 'cancelled my power armor' club.

I just keep thinking I could have more fun using that money on a switch.

Plus no way it's going to be as cool as the Titanfall helmet.

 
Just got an email from NIS about the SNK 40th Anniversry Collection Limited Edition shipping. AFAICT they still haven’t announced all of the games that will be included, but it looks like the last five games announced will be free DLC and not on cart. Ugh.

I didn't order it from them, but Tyrok (a BB employee) posted that the only one they were getting in was the standard edition.

 
I went ahead and posted the GoW deal in the official Gamestop thread.  I saw a FB post about it and ordered it and figured putting it in the official thread here would help too.  I haven't played the game yet and am waiting to play Ascension first but $59.99 for the collectors edition is too good to pass up.

 
I don't have the CE ordered for Fallout 76 and still think it's a waste of money but upon playing beta tonight I'm sold. It will be a lot of fun at launch but once the community dies, the game will too so it's not one to delay with. I'm actually impressed with how the game flows without all the slowed pace of NPCs and decision wheels to the point that the game just feels. . .free actually. Free to just follow the questlines a la WoW but without the cumbersome need to interact with the quest giver or return to a place to turn it in all the time. You're allowed to just focus on killing baddies, grouping up, killing each other in PvP (although lag is a major concern and spamming stimpacks to heal needs to be disabled in PvP), and looting everything you see to upgrade your camp and gear. After just 4 hours, GF and I were hooked and had no desire to play red dead as we tried to research all that we could for Thursday's stress test (which is now 8 hours because PC users had a glitch that deleted the game instead of letting them play rofl).

Really excited TBH, so anyone on the fence at least try it. No way it's worth either CE though, that's all garbage IMO.

I think the LE was exclusive to buying direct from NIS and Best Buy's listing was messed up (probably why they took it down). The standard comes with the little art book.

I guess I need to see if my local Best Buy has it in store.

 
Has anyone heard from Square Enix about the restock of the Tomb Raider CE? They gave an "end of October" timeframe when I ordered it, and, well...here we are with no updates.

Fallout 76 is trash. Full stop. The only reason I give two shits about Fallout 76 is because I have pre-ordered 20 Power Armor Editions to sell to Bethesda fanboys.

If you still have access to GCU, the $38 price-point at BB after reward certs with free steelbook is the best deal we'll see for a long time IMO. Can even turn around and flip the case for $10 most likely if you want.

We played the shit out of it yesterday, taking time off work for a beta rofl. Got to level 11 and are starting to find some sick weapons meant for level 25 already. The hardest part about this game is ACTUALLY DOING QUESTS. Ran into a few game-breaking bugs with a few but figured out some workarounds to get them working again, but that's a sidenote. What I mean is in the time we travel to a place to complete a mission step, we get so sidetracked with public quests and looting (read: ransacking) homes and buildings, that we might not even finish what we set out to do lol.

I swear, this is the game ESO should have been and I truly hope they work in a MP component into ES VI. The amount of godliness that game would be. . .we'd be lost to the real world for months.
