We played the shit out of it yesterday, taking time off work for a beta rofl. Got to level 11 and are starting to find some sick weapons meant for level 25 already. The hardest part about this game is ACTUALLY DOING QUESTS. Ran into a few game-breaking bugs with a few but figured out some workarounds to get them working again, but that's a sidenote. What I mean is in the time we travel to a place to complete a mission step, we get so sidetracked with public quests and looting (read: ransacking) homes and buildings, that we might not even finish what we set out to do lol.

I swear, this is the game ESO should have been and I truly hope they work in a MP component into ES VI. The amount of godliness that game would be. . .we'd be lost to the real world for months.

Honest question.  What is the chance that i can sell the fallout power armor edition at cost when it come out?  I preordered the ps4 version from best buy but now i am thinking of canceling but I kind of want the $10 reward and the steelbook.   Think i can sell it locally easily at cost?

Either it sells out or it doesn't. We don't have a crystal ball.

All signs are pointing to this game being a major disappointment for a Fallout branded game and lots of people either cancelling or returning their pre-orders.

honestly, just avoid reselling questions. you either keep it or you don't for best results.
 
Fallout will work best for a month or two as it gets a boost from Christmas, but I fully expect the population to die off early next year because it won't have the staying power of a full-blown MMO. That said, it will be well worth playing during that time when people are invested. After that, unless you have a hardcore clan of people playing actively, it will become a very lonely. worse version of Fallout 4 SP game. Mods will help with longevity but not enough. If you want the helmet legitimately, get that edition. Otherwise you will have buyers remorse at the end of the day.

It's selling at over retail on eBay every day, just sell it right now if you really want to, the helmet is huge though so I'm pretty iffy on how much it's gonna cost to ship the box. You can probably make at least 50-100 I guess if you used GCU

$170 for Power Armor with GCU after guesstimated taxes. Shipping the T-51B helmet will probably range from $20-40 (shouldn't be $40 really depends where it's shipping) I don't know the box size.

The Power Armor Edition is limited and won't be re-stocked. I expect the T-51B helmet alone to have a good resell value in the near future / and if Bethesda doesn't do something stupid like make more and sell them on their store.

I sold a Titanfall 2 Helmet for $300 and they were discounting that Vanguard edition down to $100 last year. Different game I know. The PA edition sold out pretty fast.. within the first week no? And even if Fallout 76 is shit (it probably is) F:NV master race]], the helmet itself will hold its value because it's a T-51b helmet. Fans of any Fallout could want it sitting on their shelf. Fallout 1 fans, 2, etc.

Imo, i'd just keep the PA helmet. If they aren't making any more (Pete Hines said they weren't back in June 21).

In my experience if you're not going to dropship your pre-ordered collector editions it's generally better to split up your items. You'll likely make more $$ back that way than shipping the whole thing as is.

I sold two new Titanfall Vanguards for $450 a piece couple months ago. Bought them when Amazon had them in a lightning deal for $120 few months after release. Was gonna use one for Halloween last year but ended up going with another costume and just decided to keep it sealed. Yea these Helmets will definitely go up in value long term.

I'm not even sure if you would be able to mod this game since the game is online only. Modding weapons, clothing, or player characters might be seen as hacking. Quest packs would not really work either b/c its a multiplayer game. Mod creators for other Bethesda titles might just ignore this game b/c the way the game is structured.

Just to chime in on the FO76 CE discussion, BB has quite extended holiday return policy. IIRC it goes into Feb for Elite Plus for anything purchased after Nov 1, 2018 so sitting on it and watching things is an option although pre-Christmas may be a better time to sell. On the latter point I'm not an expert though.

You will, it just won't be available at launch. The extent of modding is unknown though.

 
That Titanfall helmet is actually pretty nice for the price I paid, I got it for $108. I didn't now that the price of the helmet alone went way up. I might have to reconsider unloaded it since space is becoming an issue now with there huge CE.

 
I cancelled my power armor edition of FO76. Seems like a lot of people are doing that. I cancelled mine due to the likelihood of my not liking it due to quality tho. Nothing to do with the game really. If it had been higher in quality I likely would have kept it.

What's wrong with the quality? It reminds me of the Titanfall 2 Helmet which was pretty well made.

What do you determine "higher quality" there isn't a whole lot to compare to. It's $200 and you get the game, a bag, and some maps.

If you value the game at the full $80, the bag at $20+, then you'll be paying $100 for a well-made helmet that is sold out and won't be getting a restock.

I also cancelled my FO76 CE. The game just looks too uninteresting to me and I don't think I'm going to enjoy it much. Didn't have much of a fun time with the beta. And while all the contents of the CE look cool I just don't really have the space for the helmet and could definitely put that $200+ to better use elsewhere.

I'm just used to higher quality collectibles and usually don't order limited edition or collectors edition games as a result. I purchased the power armor edition on a whim, but came to my senses before it shipped.

Ungodly? Hardly. Buy collectibles from Triforce, Hollywood Collectible's Group, Sideshow, Weta, Prime 1, etc for a few years and see how collectibles in CE games hold up. They don't. Its like comparing action figures to high quality statues. Don't get me wrong, if people enjoy them...buy away. Its just a matter of what your used too.

The helmet is definitely imo a high quality collectible for a CE inclusion, my biggest gripe atm is that I preordered on PC and now that I'm playing the beta on Xbone X I kinda wish I could just stay on console, trying the beta out on PC today but there have been a lot of gripes about lack of some customization options for the display (cant natively 21:9, etc)

Here's what the Fallout 76 Best Buy steelbook looks like. Cost is $9.99 without the game. My store got over 100 so expect them to stick around for a good while. :D
