As a former 10 year player whose top 25 guild stopped playing in WoD, welcome to freedom!!

My back catalog shrank CONSIDERABLY when I stopped playing all those years ago.

And a quick note for those of you on the fence about the Fate/Extella Link CE. The first one is STILL in stock at some stores (The PS4 one is discounted at Gamestop, but I went in on the Switch version which has all DLC on cartridge), so it would probably be safe to hold off and expect Link to get a discount after release.

We had fun, especially Drustvar but once the war table came out we were burnt out already. I haven't raided in that game in years so can't comment on that scene but just playing casually it was alright. World PvP was trash though, as they've still done nothing about the rampant imbalance of H:A ratio. Everyone claims it's 1:1 citing the census sites; yeah, it's fucking not even close. Two or three to one in my experience.

It was during vanilla reborn, but I doubt the same community is still there. I went HAM on that game for two years, got some server firsts in raids, max leveled everything, the works. But they fucked up Bard badly with the first expansion and killed my interest altogether with terrible design decisions. That and they stuck to a predictable, boring loop of content patches leaving nothing to surprise. It just got monotonous but those first two years were magic.

Oh, and their whole 'let's hold people's hard earned homes ransom for sub money' was pure horseshit. My multi-million gil mansion went poof because I refused to re-up for a game I didn't want to play. That pretty much ensured I'd never return; Yoshi-P got real stupid there at the end of vanilla.

Fingers crossed that BestBuy price matches soon. I really only want the steelbook, but since my GCU is still active I may just have to bite at $80+tax.

Originally when XSEED announced it, they said the only physical editions would be the steelbook versions. Whether that has changed I don't know. Best Buy is always a little slow with their updated descriptions I've found as well.
 
does someone want my fallout steelbooks? I got the PC version of the power armor (I know) and since it has no physical disc I don't really need them

A word of warning about these (besides what is actually included with them). Most or all of the stock is being shipped from BB stores now and the ones I've seen in stock at BB stores usually have the packaging damaged in some way. Just something to keep in mind, especially if you're a collector.

 
Square store has the FF12 remake CE at half price 100 instead of 200. At that price, you don’t have to pay for their expensive shipping options.

My store had a few in stock so I went to pick one up this morning - it was listed at $42.99 there (Northgate Seattle). However, at checkout, GCU did not apply because it was "on clearance". Anyone know if GCU applies to clearance games or not?

I never had an issue with GCU not working on Clearance games, only when price matching (does not stack). Weird.

The one that I got from a store a few weeks back, PS4 version, did have some damage to the box. It seems to be fairly common with most collector's boxes in general at best buy stores.

Fortunately I was able get a price adjustment with the price drop and saved another $13.
 
I know it's costly, but I caved on the Metro Exodus CE.  I really like the series and it looks well made.  Might as well get it while I can or end up with another Witcher 3 CE that goes popular at the last second.  Plus, the shipping cost kept me from putting anymore thought into that silly MvC CE.

 
A bit o/t but with all the lingering MvC & CoD WW2 CE's gathering dust at stores i'd really love a documentary of Project Triforce.  I was amazed to find out that they lost a $500k lawsuit for not fulfilling their obligations to Riot Games and even knowing that, Activision, Microsoft, Capcom, etc said "Eh,  They sound reliable enough".

GCU does not work on clearance games in store. It does work online, but the prices can be different. I first noticed this around June of this year.

Target had dropped it down to $299.99, too, so I grabbed it with the additional RedCard 5% off. That was after trying to get Best Buy to do a post-purchase price match (which I know is against their policy - and is ridiculous) to Gamestop and being denied. I let them know I'd just return it and buy it at the other retailer.... my local BB is going to love seeing me walk in with this giant box.

 
Destiny 2 CE is the worst purchase I've made in the last couple of years at $150 w/GCU. 

At $36, it's a great deal and a no-brainer.  The bag is nice if you like the style.

The game today is nothing like it was when it was first released, it is a pretty good game now.

FYI - The CE comes with the version of the game (LE) that comes with the Expansion Pass, but that's all included in the new expansion Forsaken so the code is pretty much useless. But the rest of the stuff with the LE is pretty neat.
