It seems like more and more people are getting things damaged from Amazon because of poor packaging. That's a disturbing trend.

I noticed they have a Packaging Feedback option on order pages, which I think is fairly new. You can rate how the package was and even upload a picture. I encourage everyone who has had problems with their packaging to do this, and hopefully after enough people do, they'll get tighter standards at the warehouses
Yup, my replacement Dark Souls CE also came damaged. It was in one of those universal mailers that is just cardboard folded. Now I have to email them a 4th time for the same game.

While that works for stuff that's in-stock, I place an order on Amazon for these kind of CEs knowing to an extent that they'll be rare. No replacement option for me except for a refund...

Now, I have Tekken Hybrid and LoH:TitS LE coming in, and I'm praying for the best but... might have to go the GameStop buy/return route on both.

@devulture: I think your employees are incompetent -.-

Gaming supervisors or anyone with a manager code can pull up ALL titles that are available for pre-order (and can search that way), but normal employees aren't allowed to because it's related to the store's scorecard. It's definitely in the system under that SKU, as I doubt it differs depending on store.

So what am I suppose to do, ask for the manager to reserve a copy for me? Whom can I ask to take care of the task? It's gonna be awkward to try this again w/o a concrete plan. What if the local employees you insulted were the gaming supervisors?

I have no idea why it's so difficult to preorder this CE... I was able to check the RSS and find the sku. Now it's not working. :wall:

Then they're not doing their job. Who did you talk to and try to punch in the SKU?

I can record a video of my employee doing the exact process tomorrow if you want... I don't know what else we could help you with. It really is just typing in the 7 digits when ringing a transaction through.

The way he explained it was that the search process is same system as the report which tells them how many pre-orders of game X the store has, and what their "goal" (at which all employees get a free copy) is. If you ask something in gaming/the sup about that system, maybe they can find it for you.

And even if they do find it, it'll be the SKUs we already give you...

@ssj: I can't even leave packaging feedback because my pre-order wasn't placed within the last 60 days. GG.

Glad I am not the only one who is so fed up with Amazon & their packaging of CE games & guides. I almost jump with pleasant surprise if 1 out of 10 comes perfect
BestBuy is my new Haven. Thats where I got a perfect copy of Zelda CE, though there is one incoming from Amazon. Not very enthusiastic after hearing others experiences!

Ha, ha found that amusing because I feel almost exactly the same. Just happy if ONE thing shows up in perfect condition or near mint at least. With all the complaints around here about the Skyrim guide, I was dreading opening that box last week, but it was in mint condition for a change. However, when I saw the tape coming up off the box for LOTR: WITN CE, I just knew it would be jacked upon opening and sure enough, crushed corner and the plastic window on front of box starting to separate from actual package due to the crushing:bomb: To lazy to go pick up the replacement from the post office today, but tomorrow I fear for the worst already.
I'm gonna place pre-orders for future stuff at GameStop just so I have a place to return these shitty Amazon copies to.
Now you're learning. As a bonus, most pre-order codes print on the receipt. :whistle2:\"
It seems like more and more people are getting things damaged from Amazon because of poor packaging. That's a disturbing trend.

Yeah, giving them icecream has made them less obedient. /whipcrack

If people have issues with Amazon's packaging, make sure you give them packaging feedback on the order as well as requesting a replacement. When filing packaging feedback, there are places to upload pics of the issue.

This should be done for every single package that doesn't show up in pristine condition.

Again, their system is broken so if you placed a pre-order more than 60 days before the item is released, you can't even leave feedback for it... Can only do so through talking w/ a CSR.

Okay, I have no idea what pinoy is doing but I don't want to chance it by waiting any longer, so if you want a FFXIII-2 Steelbook PM me and I'll get the groupbuy pre-order placed within the next couple of days.

Right now I have all of their names in my book. I'm only taking names atm, and then I will set up the pricing + shipping later at the end of next month. If you want to set up your own group buy, thats fine with me because it'll sell out fast in the next couple of days or weeks. Thats why we need you as a backup. :D

Price drop already on the Tekken Hybrid Extreme Edition to $190! No clue why Namco had it originally at $250 considering other Madcatz (manufacturer of included joystick) TE limited edition sticks were $160 at most (when 1st released) & the regular limited edition Tekken Hybrid's only $60...$60 plus $160 doesn't equal $250 Namco, LOL! I guess that's why there was a price drop 3-days after it was released! Either that or they're having a sale due to Black Friday.

I tried again on getting that FFXIII-2 CE reserved. Thankfully one Best Buy store is being cooperative and I finally reserved a copy. Kinda wish that the store wasn't further than my local one (which I tried first and failed), but hey, mission accomplished. Thanks for the info and persistence, AnimeKatt and PrinnyOtaku.

Lost track of this thread, sent you a pm, but whomever handles this, I'm in for one. Depending on the price most likely two.

Has Best Buy stopped pre-orders?

I haven't been following this thread too closely, but I also preordered FFXIII-2 at Best Buy. I asked for the CE, but they said something along the lines that they only took preorders for standard and will just upgrade it to the CE upon pick-up. Will I run into any issues?
Has Best Buy stopped pre-orders?
No, although that's what I feared at first. It's just their in-store pre-order machine has yet to have the CE available to reserve. Outside reserving it online (meaning you have to pay in full), the only way to reserve the game in-store is to give them the SKU number.

I saw the CE listed in the kiosk, finally. Check again.

Also, will place an order for the steelbook on Thursday for way more than the # of people who PM'ed me. So if you PM'ed me already, consider yourself set unless I say otherwise.

@backseatdog, that's utter bullshit. If they have enough copies of the CE sure you can swap your version at pickup. But they don't have enough copies, you're SoL. Go back get pre-order the actual CE. Only way to guarantee they'll have enough copies.

I never said they weren't listed. They did highlight the collector's edition, it's just not reservable (as of yesterday).

Just got back from my local Best Buy. Looks like you can pre-order this now at the kiosk!
G1 means DVD sized, sorry.
Lol, cases are serious business if they have their own rating system.

awww that means it won't fit with the rest of my games... oh well.

and a question about the amazon.de product: Is the novella going to be in english? and will the DLC work in the states? :dunce:

I just pre-ordered the Mass Effect 3 CE. I never buy CE but fir $20 more I think it gives decent value and I absolutely love the series. I am not sure how limited they will be but I thought I should get in on it early.

Errr... It looks like they limited the number of steelbooks you can buy per account (2 for each version, which means 4 total). As far as I know, the steelbooks are exactly the same PS3/360-wise, it's just the diff. DLC for that platform and well... you weren't gonna redeem it anyways since it's on the EU/DE PSN/XBL.

I'm not gonna fuss and make multiple accounts or any of that nonsense, so I can only do 4 including myself.

40.88 EURO total = $54.80 / 4 = $13.7 a person. Costs me ~$2 to ship to you guys after I get them, so let's say about $15.50 a person if you want it.

Going by my PMs, these are the three people who contacted me first:

Vigilante, jamezuva, Relysis

The order has already been placed. If you guys still want in at that price ~$15/16 shipped to you, post here or PM me. If I don't hear back from the three above I'll PM the others who messaged me about it. Again, first come first serve.

Sorry for the confusion and shitty news. Hopefully Pinoy can hook at least another 3 people up.

When I got my Crysis 2 Nano Edition, the artbook were all English. I'm sure that'll be in English but I'm not 100% correct. The DLC is restricted to German PSN so you must have a german account for this to work.

Count me in, and thanks again for doing this.

Well frak, I know Pinoy has quite a few people lined up on the ps3 side. Please let us know how this shakes out Pinoy.
