Ugh, another game with a decent steelbook and plastic statue I have no interest in. I'll have to set an ebay store to sell all the plastic junk and books I don't want with these CEs.

But is it actually a Steelbook? Promo just says "metal case". Combine that with a Triforce statue, and I'll be sitting this one out until prices drop.

The Bravely Second CE listing at BB is showing all the EU information (agnes figurine, pre-order dlc). Probably a mistake, but interesting to note.

Did anyone get in a previous order when it popped up and did it update to this as the item page. Also the Gamestop listing is missing the "Deluxe" keyword that best buy has. Gamestop title: "Bravely Second: End Layer Collector's Edition"

Note that the image of the game in the CE picture shows a PEGI-12 rating.

With Triforce at the helm, I'm gonna have to pass for now. I'm still disappointed in their Max Payne statue from 2012.

This looks great and all, but there isn't much to this CE anyway. I'll wait until it's $60 on Amazon Warehouse deals like a few Pipboys that showed up today.

 
Not a cheap morning. I pulled the trigger on the Grand Kingdom Grand edition, then was finally able to get Bravely Second at Best Buy (thought it had already sold out).

At least I just freed up $50 in Gamestop credit.
 
Can someone sell me on Bravely Second? I got the first CE and love it, but isn't Second getting middling reviews? That, and it's going to be a mini art book and a sample cd, right? I have it pre-ordered at Amazon and BB, but I'm just not hyped about it.

I think the biggest problem is the first game was very long and many stopped playing towards the second half with all the backtracking. The second game being a sequel leaves less people to get hyped over it outside of buying it because they bought the first one.

It's a 250 page artbook.

 
Uh oh.  Box looks flimsy and it does't look like there is a solid structure to support it.  The small game case on top of the book = most of the top/front surface area is unsupported.

I was able to grab Bravely Default from Best Buy 10 mins ago. Surprised it is still up on the website. I think I'll hold off on cancelling my Amazon preorder until I'm certain my Best Buy order doesn't get cancelled.

Well, this packaging is pretty much the same as the Japanese version of the special edition. I ordered a jp version last year from Amazon jp and shipped via Tenso. It managed to get here in flawless condition from Japan. So Bestbuy/Amazon /Gamestop/Walmart has got to really screw up in packing this to have many of them arrive damaged.

I missed out on the Fates LE. I'll go by Best Buy on release day to see if any get canceled, but I'm sure the chances of that happening are smaller than finding a gold mine under my house.

I'm so torn on the DOOM LE, though. I'm not a statue person, so I generally don't care about those. However, that one looks amazing. But...Triforce. I've never gotten a statue edition of a game before, but I've heard nothing but horror stories of their quality. Still, it'll be so insanely awesome, if it ends up good. Oh, and the thing's $120, while we game Halo and Mirror's Edge and whoever else wanting $150-250 for their statues. Screw those guys.

It's best to get the PO in now and if it doesn't work in your favor for some reason just drop by your nearest store and say, "Nah."

It's possible it will be at Best Buy. I went there the day before Xenoblade Chronicles X came it, and they had a special edition sitting there. Not that it was hard to find after it came out, but at the time it was sold out.

Thanks for the head's up on the Bravely Second "restock" at BB.  I missed the other chances, so I'm hoping these don't get cancelled.  Now I just need to decide if it's worth it for me to spend the extra $ and get the EU CE for the figure... :/

By the bye, what does everyone use to hang their posters and prints on the wall?  I've used different things at different times (those 3M hangers, double-backed foam tape, frames, etc.), but I'm going to be setting up a new space and figured there might be better options out there I've never come across.
