FAQ:
  • What is this thread? A massive collection of limited edition games & other attributing items, included with links.
  • Why put it all in one thread? More traffic due to collaborating interests.
  • Why is that important? This keeps the thread popular and doesn't risk a failed CE from falling through the cracks unnoticed.
  • What can be discussed here? Anything relevant to what is posted.
  • Why make another CE compilation? Karma.
  • Where are the big pictures? Still here, scroll down. Due to the increased number of CEs, a preface post is needed.
  • When is the Final Fantasy XVI CE? Not announced. Granted, IF it does, you can bet I will devote an entire page to it.
  • What about other CEs that have been announced? Give me a minute. It takes a bit of time to format the title, price, date, & retailer links in correctly.
  • What about the Book/Steelbook/Console/Misc. Picture Posts? I condensed the thread. Not necessary to include pictures for all those items. They will still be included in the Everything List post.

I can't imagine they're going to reprint a CE... the lead time, production, shipping times have to be at least a few months, by which time who knows if the demand will be there.

What I can believe is they're making replacement components to replace damaged CEs.

Of course, I'd prefer if they were actually making more..:p

Have there been instances of companies reprinting CEs for the same platform?
Stalker 2 CEs got a reprint, although they have now been delayed until early next year and there is no guarantee that every component from the original will be included (specifically the unique steelbook for each of the three tiers of CEs).

Looks like you were correct, the steelbook edition is going for 600 and the collectors going for 2k right now.
I was trying to post this :p I was so close to FOMOing a Lumiere edition too. Game is amazing. They worked fast on getting the order page up! I like these devs!

Looks like it'll be open pre-order until June 12. If that's the case, anyone that knows about it should be able to get it.

Am I reading that correct, in that the new CE doesn't include the game? It says it doesn't include the base game (or cosmetics).

Easy pass for me since I'm still waiting for the physical to come back in stock, but I kind of like this idea for those that want extras and already have the game. Kind of. I'm sure if it catches on, publishers will exploit it.

I was lucky enough to get my Lumiere Edition but wanted the CE and almost bought one for $600 on release but thought to myself, "eh, it'll probably come down a lot in few weeks once the FOMO dies down".... NOPE! This is cool of them to do though, the game did well, fans want it, they might as well enjoy the sales.

Oh well, hoping for more standard editions at retail.

I was interested in the Lumiere edition, but I wanted to wait on reviews before ordering, and by then they were sold out. I'm hoping now that they'll release it on Switch 2 and have a Lumiere edition for that.

US pays $49 shipping. $185 total.
Shipping is $88 if you get 2. Open pre-order until June 12. Ships Jan 2026.

Shipping isn't too bad but the potential tariffs scare me off... glad they're keeping it open for a while at least and shipping is relatively soon.

Kind of messed up that taking the game out of the CE only decreases the price by $30 and then $50 shipping is a lot too. I don't know if I can justify almost $200 for a CE without the game when other people got it for $150 with the game a mere couple months ago.

It is a small developer with a publisher that probably pushed back on making a CE with the game in it again. The publisher had a lot of odd choices with the Xbox Lumiere Edition only being made in 3 EU countries and the CE being PS5 only. The game was low stock in general and the explosion of interest took them by surprise. This was likely the best way to give everyone a shot at it. EU got new 50% tariff threats this morning too which adds to the uncertainty. It sucks, but can't blame them. Shipping is cheaper in areas that don't have to deal with that.

There is a separate art book and vinyl on the way. I hope they know their demand when those go up.

The $50 shipping isn’t their fault at all, Americans voted for it last year and these companies are only responding to the new market. The collector’s edition that was exclusive to GameStop was already in development before all of this craziness happened.

I think shipping in general has become much more expensive... 2-3 years ago, I had a lot of stuff sent to a UK forwarding service and a standard game would cost about $10-15 to ship to the US. Last summer, I had a PSP game shipped there and the shipping costs was $30. $50 shipping for those CE contents doesn't seem all that surprising to me...

International Collect on Delivery (ICOD) Fee for US Deliveries Announced

Effective June 2, 2025 UPS will introduce an International Collect on Delivery (ICOD)fee of $12 USD. This new fee will be charged to the U.S. consignee at delivery along with any unpaid duties, taxes, and other fees for the shipment.
This change does not apply if duties and taxes are billed to a UPS account number prior to delivery.
Consignees can also avoid the ICOD fee if they pay the applicable customs charges electronically, prior to delivery, through the UPS International Pre Payment Application (IPPA).
IPPA can be accessed in two ways:
  1. Shipment payment notification
    • Requires shipper to provide recipient’s contact information (name, email, phone)
    • Recipient must have already accepted opt-in term notifications from UPS
  2. UPS.com tracking page results link
https://www.ups.com/us/en/support/shipping-support/shipping-costs-rates

For those that import CEs and steelbooks, it will be best to avoid UPS in the future if possible.

A simple search shows Lacedrecords shipping cost has been $50 from three years ago, when other UK retailers ship for $20.

Shipping could be more than just the actual postage, box/packaging could be a factor too though but after ready the below, I feel like it is just them gouging US customers on shipping. They're charging us in advance for any potential tariffs but if there are no tariffs, they won't refund people for the "potential tariffs" they're collecting?
Due to the ongoing and unpredictable tariff situation between the USA and China, Laced, Kepler Interactive, and Sandfall Interactive have made the difficult decision to increase shipping costs for US orders of this product. This adjustment helps cover potential tariff charges we will incur at the time of delivery, or the cost of shipping from our UK warehouse if high tariffs persist. These charges cannot be refunded in future.

Damn, well that puts me off it. For $200 I'd be expecting something much better than just over half a foot tall. :sneaky:

In a Tariff world, everybody gets hurt.

Except the leader enacting the tariffs. Because it always leads to bribes and deals, and borderline corruption. Like getting foreign countries to invest billions into your meme coin, which is is essentially public-faced money laundering. Or gift you a jumbo jet. That is why tariffs are universally frowned upon in World History. They encourage bribery for improved relations.

If you bothered to scroll down on the page and read

It states they're charging for potential tariff charges and it's non-refundable.

Personally I think that's a red flag for a company to take advantage of overcharging their customers under the false pretense of potential charges.

Exactly. BBTS noted on all of my items that prices are before tariffs and those might be assessed later and I would have the option to cancel if I want. PA shows the actual tariffs being collected. These guys are just taking some "just in case" and will keep it if there are no tariffs.

Odd that the gamestop exclusive AC Shadows CE is going to be a Best Buy drop on June 11. It may be a lower price being a drop. PS5 is still in stock at GS and this looks like the out of stock Xbox version. Not likely many interested, but putting it out there just in case.

Wondering if it’s exactly the same. I’d say this is unprecedented.

So there was an XBox Lumiere but only in 3 countries? Damn I was begging them multiple times on Twitter & Facebook for a US one, got the PS5 Lumiere instead.

I just got this email from BBTS on a pre-order, this is a much better way to handle traffics than LacedRecord's "we're just gonna charge you":
We are expecting this item to arrive soon and will begin processing pre-orders within several business days. This item is in a shipment that is subject to a tariff, and unfortunately, we need to increase our price. Because your pre-order was placed prior to the tariff announcements that took effect on April 9th, 2025, we will be absorbing most of the tariff increase. Unfortunately, we are not able to absorb the entire tariff increase, so we need to charge a higher price.

Your new pre-order price for this item has changed from $72.98 to $75.65. Please note that this price is lower than the new retail price listed on BigBadToyStore.com

Unfortunately, Laced likely knows they can get away with it since it's one of the most well rated/most discussed games of the year.
