I have been trying for years to convince myself that it's all in my head, but I swear their Dr Pepper in their fountain has the best taste.

I think they only sell the games that are guaranteed to sell well, none of the small time titles though.
 
I'm not buying this at gamestop, but does anyone know if the gold hammer thingy code will be like a redeem code from xbox, or will it be like burnout where you type a code as a name like gamestop and bestbuy etc etc to get different cards?
 
Just got done driving to 4 7-11's in a 15 mile radius. They all had the poster on their window showing 6 games they will "have at midnight of release". Each one of them said they did not have Gears of War 2 in yet. Only one of them told me they can't sell it till the 7th.
 
Just checked my local Walmart. No luck. I won't even be able to get it at midnight because this town has a shitty, non-24 hour Walmart, and the next closest store is 45 minutes away, and I have no car. I hate Rindge...

Dude 45 min is nothing. i walk to stores 1 hour away,even though my midnight launch is only 15-20 minutes away.

I can't %$%#$ wait already. I am debating to go the BB midnight in NYC, but cliff is not going to be there so I kind of am not to interested.

No. It will be electronic. I think the fine print said it would be 7-14 days after shipping or something like that. Been a while since I preordered.

Mine still says shipping soon, so I guess my release date delivery will be on release date rather than early. Which is fine as I wouldn't start it until Friday evening anyway. Meeting up with a friend to power through as much Gears 2 as we can, along with some tasty microbrews of course!

I still need to beat Gears 1 on Hardcore over co-op :( Will no one help me before tonight?

Believe it or not, Dell shipped the game UPS Tuesday from TN and I had it got dropped at my doorstop in IL about 5PM Wednesday. I only ordered from them because I had a gift card I needed to use, but if I ever want a game early, I'll remember that.

I'd like to finish up before I plug in Gears 2, I might be able to get on tonight, but I'd be coming back from a sports bar (playiing buzzed) around 7 or 8 pst.

Wtf, according to Amazon my item is shipping soon. It better be really fast shipping considering it normally has to be in the town 1 hour away from me by 4 AM in the morning to be placed on the vehicle and given to me on Friday.
