Thanks for the update! I was so pissed that I couldn't download my Gold Lancer and then I found out tons of my friends couldn't so then I didn't feel so bad. I was thinking "First Fable 2 and now THIS!!!" Lol.

Anyways, just decided to try re-downloading it again and IT WORKED! I'm loading my Gears up right now to see if it indeed worked!
 
The whole not continuing on when a match is over online is literally gamebreaking. What is so fun from gears 1 is just keep on playing the same people for hours. This resets you after each fight. Utterly RIDICULOUS. Complete idiocy.

I'm in the same boat. I loved being able to just load up gears and play with people, cycling through maps indefinitely. This appears impossible as a solo player.

Plus, if people drop out, it doesn't look like it lets others take their spots or allow invites until back at the match making screen. I would say that's even more game breaking.
 
I couldn't DL my gold lancer either but I'm sure they'll fix it. Anyone know if it looks like this?

I'm sure it'll be patched if they see it as an issue. I'd like to play the same group if I wanted. At least give players a choice, right?

You have to play private matches to do that.
 
Hey guys go to the download history in your account management section on the dash and try the download again. It should work.

I was finally able to download mine and had a friend try as well to confirm....

So for us hardcore GOW1 multiplayer gamers (and only played ranked) how is it? I still gotta wait till like 8 pm tonight to play.
 
Got my copy from Amazon. Can't wait to put in a marathon in split screen with my buddy over a bunch of beers and pizza tonight!

There is going to be 1 thing that everyone hates the most in this game. It will be #1 on everyone's hate list, and there's no denying it. It's much, much worse than the non-party party system for Gears 2 (unless you don't touch Campaign). It's so obvious I'm not going to talk about it. But seriously, that part can fuck off.

Are you talking about a part of the Campaign specifically?
 
After a few matches online, the game plays great, but the lack of ability to continue playing on other maps after the match ends literally makes this game retarded to play. Unless you have 10 people you know ONLINE and all of them arent playing a match and all 10 join a private game together, then there is no way to do what you could in gears 1. Huge, huge disappointment. They better fix this or i wont even bother keeping GOW2 and grab Resistance 2 for my online gaming fix. Good thing i didnt use my code for the classic maps. My resale will still be very good.

I wonder which idiot at epic thought this was a good idea.

towards the end of the game.

That part was badass, this guy always throws out some off the wall stuff.
 
Like I said, it's a cool concept, but it's horribly executed with
non-avoidable projectile bullshit and shaky camera so you can't really aim all that well.

That's totally normal...most DVD's get that mark during manufacturing...it has no affect on the game...think of it as a birthmark.
 
Ya I'm having a hard time getting on multiplayer, it takes forever when I finally do connect though.

One frustrating part I've had (and probably my fault due to lack of sleep) I died right after entering the mountain and it restarted me outside the mountain facing the other way. I kept on driving straight and it led me to a mountain entrance blocked off. I was so confused I couldn't figure it out. Finally said fuck it and went to bed.. Wake up fired up Gow2 back up and quickly realized my stupid mistake.

Yea I just read that last night http://www.gowfans.com/news.php?readmore=103 with all the unlockable characters for multiplayer, seems like an easy unlock list.

Glad I grabbed the LE edish from Amazon. I'd rather wait a day, live far away from stores, than run around trying to find the game, wasting gas, and allowing the chance of never finding one.

Phew thanks. I've never seen one on a 360 game before, so i was worried that i'd have problems in later levels or something. It seems to play fine though so that's good. Thanks for the info

Considering it's the only part I've died at in the entire game, that theory is kind of proven false. Well, except for this one part where I was down, next to my ally AI and he just stood there like a tree not reviving me. And he wasn't shooting or taking damage either. Stupid AI.

I hate you. I wish my Best Buy was that cool. No tank, no 1600pts card for me...they said that the tank should arrive by Monday...they took names and numbers down and promised to hold them for us.
 
Good OLD circuit city, never fails. They told me I would have to order online the GOW2 and the Point Card and get them next week after delivery, because all they had in stock was GOW2 no points. I went at 1:30 which is 4 hours after opening and I don't think Columbia is the sort of place where between CC/BB/EB-GS/WM/KM they could have supply issues, Especially since the truck must have just came because now GOW2s even stocked yet and not gapping holes or display stands where some major sell off occured. This CC I have had now maybe 4 issues like this with in 2 years, I just took myself over to BestBuy in lexington and got a GOW2 with my 10 GC from buying PURE at release. My friends hate CC, they often times call it Circuit $hitty, I will finally give in an call it the same.
