Official Goozex Thread - Goozex is Hiring!
I'm matched up to trade Truth or Lies for the 360 to another user. The game requires a USB Mic to play, but there was no retail version sold that included a mic, that I can find. Is a mic required to be sent in a trade for this to be considered "full package" by Goozex rules?

FYI, I received this game via goozex without a mic, but I didn't expect one. I left positive feedback. I just want to make sure I'm not opening myself up to get a negative that I don't deserve if I don't send a mic.
If it can be bought new at retail without including a mic, then the mic is not required.

Just agreeing with ^.

7 here for PS3. I've been wanting to play DA: Origins for awhile now, I'm just happy they released a GOTY edition with all the DLC content. However I don't expect it to move anytime soon. Just gotta keep waiting.
Didn't know till i listened to the CagCast that Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition came out this week.
Im number 31.

Well, their customer service SUCKS. I am having an ongoing issue where the shipper mailed the game to my old house, and the game was returned to the Goozex HQ. The trade had automatically closed out, finalizing the trade.

I emailed them about the issue last Friday and have yet to hear anything back. At this point, I'm out either a game or 500 points, however you want to look at it.

How long does their customer service take to respond on issues like this?

I had a problem a while back where the shipper sent me a game (disc only) in one of those crappy do it yourself mailers that they offered you to print out on the website and the disc showed up cracked and broken in two. So we contacted goozex support and never and i mean NEVER got a response back. It go to the point where the shipper just decided to take the lose and canceled the trade so i got my points back and he was out a game. Good thing the game was only a 100 points but still it's the point of the matter.

I just got an email yesterday in response to my game trade where I received a PAL game. Trader had already contacted me, purchased another copy and had it shipped to me, all before the trade period and made everything right. Then Goozex just gets back to me yesterday for the issue.

Well the thing that irks me is the fact that a) the seller has the 500 points and b) goozex has my game and one of my trade tokens. I got absolutely nothing from this transaction other than an utter disliking for the way things are run.

On another note, another game supposed to be sent to me is down to 7 days left and still no confirmation of shipping.
I think once I use my last 900 points, I am done.

It might help if you start a thread about your problem in the goozex forums. The community is usually quick to reply and sometimes a moderator can flag an issue to streamline the process.

Goozex is not for everyone, especially those without backlogs and want a game immediately that is not in supply. And to be honest, it's not a place for collectors either. If you have patience you can save a whole lot of money on games and if you sell games you can even turn a profit if you know what you are doing.

Is the DLC all on disc for DA Ultimate Edition or are they one time use DLC codes?

Create a thread or message a mod, it took me several months, July to Oct to get a negative resolved on my end...buyer was a moron

But Im pretty patient

According to this thread all DLC will be on the disc for the PS3 version. Thank you Bioware.

You can install Ult Ed & DLC over top of existing DAO/DAO-A & DLCs. Previous saves etc will be fine.

PC: 2 dvd
360: 2 dvd
PS3: 1 bluray

It will NOT include the retailer pre-order promo items, or the collector's edition items.

I'm sorry, maybe we don't have the full story, but I don't think it's Goozex or the sellers fault that you didn't update your new address. I hope they can still resolve the issue for you, but the blame falls on you, imo(based on the facts you gave us).

Did you get delivery confirmation and enter it on goozex? If not, you should always do that. My gf didn't use tracking when she shipped an item on ebay (on my account) so for weeks I had to deal with a buyer claiming he never got the items, won a dispute and got his money back and the package either got lost or he has it and there's nothing to do about it.

I'm the buyer, in this case. And the guy FINALLY mailed the game today, with 4 days left until the transaction closes out.

waited to late to request games even though i was up all nite.

Heres what i got:

2- Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars DS
41- Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars 360
66- Arcania: Gothic IV- 360

ya for one but boo for 2

There was a thread on Goozex forums about what if goozex require a cc before joining would you still join? I would it would cut down on the idiots and the scammers but you risk alienating the site. How about at least an IQ test...

Not sure what having a credit card would do. You'd still have the scammers who claim the disc you sent magically broke during shipment.

After much waiting, I was refunded the points and token for my mishipped order. And the plus side, the game is now 150 points less than when I originally requested it. Nice!

Anyone notice that games are listed available, but when you go to request them and it says your to late.

But the games should never be listed.
It just happened with Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story.
The games already have like 5 or more active request.
It's so annoying.

Happened with Professor Layton and Disgea ds.

I received an unplayable game. This is new to me so I'm wondering whether I should leave negative feedback and then Goozex has me send them the game. Is this the order of events in this situation or is their another way to resolve this?

Yes you should leave negative feedback.

You only have to send it to goozex if the seller disputes your feedback. If they accept your feedback, then the trade is done. You keep the broken game and your points, credit, and spot in line go back to what they were before the trade. Don't re-add the game back into your queue yourself or you'll be put in the back of the line.

If, after leaving negative feedback the seller wants the game back, they can offer to cancel the trade. Then they can pay you to ship the game back, taking away the negative feedback and you getting your points back.

Thanks for the info, toldawg. This is only my second experience with an unplayable game in 2.5 years on Goozex so the process is unfamiliar to me. Thanks again.

I'm glad I still have 45 tokens left. Not sure if I'll ever buy 1.99 tokens. It seems crazy to hike up your fees 100%. But I guess if they think it'll help their business, that's fine. I ultimately want Goozex to stay around.

Many of you have been such loyal members of Goozex, and we would like to say "thank you" by offering discounts to high-traders. If you have a feedback score of 100 or higher, you will be able to purchase tokens at the original $1.00 price through December 31, 2010. If you have a feedback score of 500 or more, you will always be able to buy tokens for $1.00 as a special achievement bonus. Additionally, if you achieve the 500 feedback score later (say in summer 2011) you will unlock the $1 token pricing. We have updated our database to do this automatically once that feedback score has been achieved.

Got 755 feedback score. No change for me ;)

goodbye goozex been nice knowing you...... it wil keep the vets around but it will really hurt new people coming in...

already seen the DS/PSP market almost dry up on this site

my feedback is 1880 so dont have a thing to worry about :)

sad no half price black friday thing this year

Cya Goozex. You'll be dead in 2011. The handheld/movie/retro market is now dead on that site. New members won't pay $2 and certainly won't buy cheap point games.
Got 755 feedback score. No change for me ;)
You fail to realize that this will impact you unless you've always purchased $1 tokens.

I've havn't purchased $1 tokens in years as I've always been able to cash in on them during sales at around $0.50 a token.

Now, the "sale" price is going to be $1.

So although you may think they are helping us vets out, they are actually setting the token standard to $1 or more.

I don't like this. If anything, Goozex should LOWER the price of the tokens to encourage trades so people actually put games in instead of just buying points.

Another alternative is make tokens dirt cheap, like 5 cents or something. A brand new game will cost 20 tokens while a game from several years ago only cost 5 or 10.

Have no problem with $2 trades, but not liking the backlash on the forums. Might just be a vocal minority, but I'm going to be thinning down my 3950 points now.

I guess the naysayers were right. I've enjoyed Goozex a lot, and have over 200 trades, but I'll be down-scaling severely now. This move really isn't conducive to growing the user base...

Might just purchase enough tokens to use up the points I have currently. I'll probably start ebaying games I've finished playing, rather than trade them to Goozex, too.

I don't understand why the fee doubled....why couldn't they do $1.29 or $1.49? Is the situation that bad, or is this normal? Are we making too big a deal out of it?

Not that it particularly matters (I made my voice heard on the Goozex forums), but this is a deal killer for me personally, especially because the only thing I deal with on Goozex is old school. I've picked up 40+ complete Genesis games there, and the are ahas all but dried up recently. Now that there's a $2 per trade (double the cost), that's going to scare away new people, which leaves this small community of 1000 point trading veterans.. The business model slowly begins to eat away at itself.

I was right. Although, in this instance, I'd prefer I wasn't. I really enjoyed Goozex for the time I was there.

I was wondering if they'd do something like the no trade token ps3 month again to try and juice activity...instead they double the price wtf

Its not the paying more...its the worry offers will dry up. Trading volume has been declining for months, way down from the peak...so increase the price to new users. huh?! There was already increased concern about holding points with management having given the impression they had lost interest..and other sites failing...now piss off your users and increase the barrier to getting more.

My score is 930 so I'm good as far as the price increase goes but it's obvious this will severely hamper the influx of new users. I have 5900 points that I'm now a little more anxious to use up.

All the 500 users are saying "no big deal to us!", but new users certainly won't be joining up, others are pulling all their stuff (like me), and 100-300 point stuff won't be listed much.

Anyway I can give away what Tokens/points I have?

Goozex gives away tokens weekly for playing online games with them, check the forums there, games like mario kart wii, Black Ops, Halo etc... All you have to do is play with the guys for a hour and boom next day you have a free token or two.

here's a link to next weeks mario kart wii event on tuesday, the other console links are located within the 1st post.

this increase isn't so bad, you're still better off than going with Gamestop imo.
