Official Goozex Thread - Goozex is Hiring!
Manhunt arrived in near mint condition even though I didn't request full package ( I usually select game and manual). Funny how my signature didn't update showing that.
My sig hasn't updated in a couple of months. I even went in and changed it in case something had gone wonky with the code but still no updates even after completed trades. I'd say it's time to air this complaint on their forums.

Is anyone else having issues connecting to Goozex.com today? I was just able to log in to see a shipping address in order to send out a game, but now I'm trying to enter a confirmation number, and the page just keeps trying to load.

Kinda wish I had taken advantage of the BB trade-in bonus last month, rather than trying to keep games in my offers queue on Goozex. Amazon still has some decent trade-in values for a few games, so maybe I'll go that route.

I'll never be able to spend all my points at this rate, especially since several of the games in my requests are not even available, or I'm so far back in line that I won't be able to move up. I just doesn't make sense to build up my points reserve even more.

"Updated" meaning what? Adding a new game? I activated a couple of games from being on hold but I guess that didn't count since I didn't get a token.

Trades are up again because of the members having a Gooz-Aid thing where they all trade out like three games or something over the weekend.

^it was a user created idea. Project gooz aid was just to get thing moving again. Which it did. The g-team stepped up and gave everyone who activated a game or movie a free trading token. So they put alot into it as well. I was matched with about 12 items and sent out about 6. Hopefully the numbers will stay up.

Man, some users really believe in the site don't they?

Too bad the old owners never did. And I'm not sure the new owners are doing enough... the free token idea was ok but I think it would have worked better if they offered a token or maybe some extra points to those who sent out games.
why anyone would want to have 13k points on goozex is beyond me.... I've been stuck with 1400 for about a month now
i got around 14k i had for the last year or two.. down from a high of around 22.500

back when goozex was new it was VERY VERY EASY to make 3 to 5000 pts in a few flips

now its probally been a year since i did a single SEND OUT TRADE and i dont plan on doing any SENDING OUT until i down to around 3000 or less pts what will never happen

The thing I hate is that people don't leave instant feedback. Since your points are tied to the feedback, you can lose out on games when silly tardy guys just make you wait 14 days to get your points.
Pay for you postage through Goozex and you get your points instantly.
Yeah but Goozex postage costs more, correct?

I don't think so. I've bought postage through them twice in the last couple of months and it was $2.98 and $3.15 (and, IIRC, that includes DC).

You can ship for $1.81-$2 using paypal and it includes DC.
And does that get the points credited instantly?
Nope. Only way to get instant points is to ship via Goozex.

I believe he was asking a rhetorical question.

I got 13,000 pts to use and currently have over 100 active requests, only 2 active items nothing has moved over the last few months. Only because I'm 1st in line for those items. Yeah goozex, slowing dying...

I've been pretty happy with Goozex for the past few years, but the @Gamer coupons and these crazy summer blow-out sales at retailers make it more difficult for me to activate games I'll probably never get through Goozex. Combined with the decent trade-in values at Amazon and the bonus deals at Best Buy, and it's even more difficult for me to consider trading my games back to Goozex for points.

I'm sitting on 7200 points and 1 trade token now. Not sure how I'll ever use all these points.

Picked up Batman Begins on BD, and I'm now left with 50 points. I was just going to give it away as a tip, but I completely forgot to check the button #-o I think I'm just going to wait and see before I send anything else out, since it's been so long since I had received anything.

I've sent and received 7 games each in the last 2 months. I think it really just depends on what games you're requesting and offering.

Another game in my offers page was requested: Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain.

That brings my total to 3600 points. I'm still first in line for 7 games.

The sigs are updating again. I started a thread on Goozex a couple of weeks ago asking about this and it has been taken care of. Thanks to zannabianca for fixing the problem, much appreciated.

Glad to see the updated signatures. I'm also happy that I received a tip for sending The Omega Strain which happened to be a new, sealed copy.

With Best Buy's big game sale starting tomorrow, I wonder if people will buy and flip them on Goozex to get extra points.

Not only are the signatures working again but it appears that zannabianca finally got around to fixing the API:

Some of the recent DotDs have been great flips. NFS: The Run was still trading at 1,000 points when it was $5, though that didn't last long.

I just wish they'd update some release dates now.

Aliens: Colonial Marines still has a date of March 27, 2010.

There is still no release date for Sleeping Dogs...

only 150 points left D: D:

had 2000 this month and its just about gone, feels good man

but the end of Goozex is still :( to me , oh well, it had a great run

Sleeping Dogs and Aliens: Colonial Marines release dates have been updated!

I think I'll activate Batman: AC to burn 1000 points.

Where do they usually rank?
I've had 9 games activated on my want list for months and have seen little to no movement. I've got 1850 points to burn and nothing I want is getting picked. What motivation do I have to keep trading on goozex if I have all these points and can't use them...

Well I guess you need to request slightly older games. I've received Fifa 11 :ps3: a month ago and a couple of days ago I've received an email stating that smackdown vs raw 2011 :ps3: is in the mail. Not bad if I do receive SVR. Heck I'm even considering purchasing trade tokens since I have 550 points and no tokens.

I have some older games requested and they don't move either...guess I'll have to either be patient or activate some lesser wanted games.

I'd be willing to buy a trade token and do a couple more trades, but I only want one token. Unfortunately they don't sell just one. You have to buy 3. So in that case, I'm skipping doing any more trades on goozex until I can get some trades from goozex. I wish the owners would do something to get things moving again. I loved goozex when I first signed up, but now its slowed to a crawl...

I have 2 requests from me for really obscure items. They're only 100 points each but I'm just glad to have the opportunity to get rid of them. I haven't been matched for one of my requests in a few weeks but hopefully that will change soon.

Yeah, that's everyone's problem. I think they would get more trades if they'd remove the buy 3 minimum. I can see more guys buying tokens as and when they need them instead of sitting on 3.

P.S. Svr 2011 is in the mail and so Fifa 11 & Svr 2011 over the past month isn't too bad.

I didn't even realize there was a goozex thread. In my mind cag = the video game deals thread and that's it.
I'm sitting on 17,900 and I'm grabbing almost any current gen game that becomes available. 75% of the time the game isn't available as it appears (why does it do that) or the the trade isnt accepted or fulfilled (i've left quite a few NOT RECEIVED feedbacks recently). Boo Goozex...i used to really love it. Someone did send me a full package TRUE BLOOD season 4 Blu-ray w/ DVDs - 1000pts. I was floored! It is fairly recent, quite expensive, and I was requersting disc only.

Seems like they're trying to weed people out. They put all my requests on hold and sent an e-mail saying I had 2 weeks (or whatever the time frame was) go to in and reactivate them or they'd all be deleted.

It was due to account inactivity--but not much I can do since I haven't gotten matched up for anything since April. Not sending anything out as I still have 3,900 points (down from 6,000 some in early spring) and don't want to build up more points since the site seems to be on its last legs.

I do have one early access token, so maybe I can grab a 1,000 point new release at some point this fall to get a chunk of points gone.
