[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Jersey City... So I checked the one here and it didn't have any of the accessories... Last I checked [Friday] they had Monster Madness and Bullet witch [2 and 1 respectively] both were $4.97 but I passed on em as I already have them....

As for NYC I tried the ones on 34th and the one in Astor Place both didn't have the accessories I wanted... Don't remember the games they have but nothing spectacular...

How about you where have you tried?

i forget, i think belleville and lodi... that was a few weeks ago though so i need to go back and go to passaic

I was at the Belleville one on Thursday... I picked up a Virtua Tennis 3 for $4.97 I didn't see any other thing worthwhile but that store seemed disorganized so I might have missed some stuff... If you do head there let me know if you happen to find and leave any HD DVD drives and/or wireless receivers :p

my regular kmart sucks (though I did find a cheap haunting ground there a year ago). So for the hell of it I searched and found another nearby kmart. They had a ton of stuff...only most of it scanned for far above the prices in this thread.

did manage to snag neo contra, battlefield 2 (360) and klonoa 2 gba for like 11 dollars though.
 
I went to my Kmart today and they had moved the games to a whole other section. Even the clearance and lower price games are behind glass now. Great! Now I have to deal with finding someone to open the case when I want to grab some clearance goodness. WTF!

Took me 15 mins to find a worker to get someone into the electronics dept. Nobody in sporting goods, nobody at the jewelry counter, nobody at the food thing, not even a person at the service desk. I think everyone was hiding or they only have 2 cashiers for the entire store. Same thing the last time I wanted something in the case, so stupid.
 
Even though I have the game opened but never played I could not let a lone copy of .Hack//G.U. Vol.3 sit for $10 so I grabbed that.. finally made a score at Kmart after a few months of a dry spell ;)

Go get it scanned I remember seeing some people talking about it on here pages back.. Mine is marked $15 and scanned at $10.00 even.. Back when I got my copy of Valkyrie Profile 2 at Kmart it was a lone copy behind the glass still marked at $49.99 and scanned at $12.

Oh, i didn't even mention how hard it was for me to get my HD-DVD drive. I had to go from electronics all the way up to the service desk and tell them to get somebody back to the electronics department. Then i had to wait a while for someone to show up.

I bet they have a huge problem with theft in the electronics department, theres nobody back there to even notice you stealing anything.

Kmart electronics sections ARE under-staffed, but don't complain!;) The reason we all can get such good clearance prices is because they don't have enough staff to keep up with all the weekly markdowns, thats why games ring up less than stickered. If any of the current $5 games had even $10 stickers, they would not have lasted until $5. Good for us!:)

Sadly, understaffing also means that many of these games simply aren't getting marked down. My store seems to be about three weeks behind the reported prices from here, for example.

All stores should receive the same list of markdowns, but it's up to each store to enter those markdowns into the system.

Because I couldn't find anyone, I went to the manager and asked for a price check on the HD DVD drive. He looked at the sticker and told me $125.99, I asked for him to ring it up. It came back as $32, I asked for a price check to another Kmart store, where I picked this up on Sunday for $12. He said sure, I handed over the receipt and walked out with another HD DVD drive for $12. I wasn't sure if they would PM as I've asked eariler in the year and told no. Also picked up 1 halo 3 controller for $15. Although, the same kmart I picked up the first HD DVD drive, had clearance games but not marked at what other stores had them marked at, i.e. Bullet Witch was $9.98.
 
Yea does anyone have an extra HD-DVD drive, Controllers, or Halo Headset? I will pay price, shipping and alil extra for gas and your time. Also what does the wireless recievers do anyways?

Dammit! I found and bought one of these this morning, but when I opened it up it was empty! I never thought to open it up and check it before buying it. =( Since there's no seal on the package and it was only $3.50 it could be a lot worse, but it still sucks.
 
Somehow, I think it is the store manager's choice to put the prices on the games. I once found a copy of Disgaea 2 that was reported to be $22.50 in this topic. The price tag on it also said $22.50, but this old bitchy hag that works there said the price wasn't right. I mean, she scanned it, then scanned it again, then told me the price on the scanner was wrong.

Also, all of the games, even if they are listed as clearanced here, are marked at the original price in the same store. The only game that's clearanced is DBZ Sagas for $2.

Umm, I would've made a case of it. Sounds to me like she was power tripping. I would've asked for the manager and if she was the manager, I would've asked for the number for corporate.

That's about the only good thing about my local K-Mart moving the entire game display case behind the register. They now have someone in electonics at all times
 
Got:
Bullet Witch - 360 - $4.98

I took a look at it when I got home. The front was cut up with what seems to be a carpet knife.
I opened it up and the game was still in there. I think they slicked it open when they were unpacking it in the store.

Anyway, This......Game.....BLOWS! It is so boring. It plays so choppy and the story is very uninteresting to me. The controls are sluggish and you cannot lock on to the enemies.

Even for $5.00 I would stay away.
 
OK, I'm back to ignoring Kmart again for a while. I made a special trek out to 2 of them tonight and found not a damn thing. The first one was the one that had 2 Vision Packs about a week and a half ago but they were still $40. I figured I gave it sufficient time but not too long that it was worth checking again. Not only were those gone, but every single clearance game that was locked up in the case with original MSRP price tags just a week and a half ago was gone. So they didn't mark anything with the last drops (Vision Bundle = $40, games mostly = $10 but all tags were MSRP) but apparently they either got cleared out by my competition or they finally chose to properly mark the stuff and it got snapped up by the commoners ;). Though the Electronics guy thinks the Vision Bundles dropped to $32 and were sold. Since they went from $40 to $20 everywhere else I doubt that, but oh well... Also, there was a complete lack of any clearance controllers whatsover at the 5 stores I've checked in the last 2-3 weeks.

I managed to snag a handful of games for $4.97 the other day but nothing earth-shattering (finally got NBA Street at the right price at least). But they are so devoid of old games now that I can't see it being worth my time to go back there any time soon. Meh...

Oh yeah, I just remembered this store also had a stack of HD-DVD players that must have gotten snapped up in the last week (or whenever they dropped) as well. I wasn't so keen on those in the first place, even for $12, but it does indicate that someone is cribbing off this thread and operating near me, which ticks me off a bit as they are clearly just lurking and not contributing (could have saved me a 40 mile round trip tonight by just fessing up to it for example - then I wouldn't have minded so much). But I suppose it could be a SD/FW type as well. Now I remember why I didn't update the OP so much - think I'll go back to that practice in case anything else good goes on clearance. We'll just keep it in the discussion here as it is slightly harder to extract that way.
 
I got One Piece Pirate's Carnival(may be kind of lame but oh well), Kya dark legacy, and Devil Kings for 3.00 each, as well as a Tales of the Abyss(Trading away) for 4.96. Some halfway decent games at least. I want the newer 10.00 and 15.00 stuff to clearance like Metropolismania 2 and Raw Danger....yeah too cheap to buy them yet.

AMEN IO, AMEN!! I'm also doubly sick of the people who troll the Craigslist and other deal sites online and look for people selling games, only to turn around and Ebay or otherwise sell the rarer titles they get for pennies on the dollar of what they're worth.

The people selling the games probably think they're going to someone who will be PLAYING them. If only they knew what some of the things they're selling are worth, so THEY could make the money and I wouldn't have to deal with seeing posts saying 'I Ebayed this game I got from this one person off CL for $5, I made $60-70 on it'.

This is also why I kept some of the newer clearance games to myself for a while because I think I have some serious competition for deals in this area now too. Another CAG on here told me my closest Kmart, which HAD 2-4 copies of VP2 Silmeria just last week had NONE when they were there a day or two ago.

Aside from me, I don't think anyone else knew they weren't properly marked, though there probably ARE lurkers from my area too.
 
You know, IAmTheCheapestGamer, I don't even care if someone did buy them all up to resell - just that if they are doing that via the info from here they could post about it. They don't even have to admit to that - just say that such-and-such Kmart had nothing left (after they cleared it out ;)). But it probably isn't anyone from here. I just remember that my OP list got reposted to SD a while back. At the time that didn't seem to effect my local Kmarts but perhaps times have changed.

Anyway, in case there's a lurker about in my area that didn't hit up the stores I went to, they were the Milwaukie and airport Kmarts in Portland, OR (Milwaukie is a suburb of Portland). Maybe I can save them some trouble at least ;). I think there might a few Xbox remotes and wireless gaming receivers at one of those places, but that's about it. I only trekked all the way up to the airport one after seeing that gaping empty hole in the case at the Milwaukie store where the Vision bundles and HD-DVDs were just over a week ago. I was hoping to salvage my trip - I did manage to snag a few things from a Target up there so it wasn't a complete waste.
 
But see, they never will IO, since then they figure we might all just talk amongst ourselves to keep the deals on the down low and then they might never figure out what's on clearance.

I have to admit though, I've been blatantly stealing some deals I thought my fellow CAGs would like to know about from SD/FW lately. Well, maybe NOT lately, but I know I took a few doozies(like SUPER cheap batteries from Circuit City, I ended up getting packs of Energizer Max 20 pack AA's for $1.21 a pack personally)from them in the recent past.

See though, I'm like you, I wouldn't mind if someone told me that 'there's no other deals at xyz store', so I don't waste gas going there. But, common courtesy isn't always a good practice, if you want to keep getting deals I suppose, since I know I'd become more diligent about checking my local Kmarts more often for deals if I knew I had competition.
 
I just opened a Vision Bundle and the subscription and points card were used. Now I will have to drive back 15 miles to return it. The plus is, they had 2 Halo controllers in stock. Hope they are still there.
 
There are a couple kmart threads on SD however those people seem more interested in clearing out the kitchen and toy departments, hardly ever is a mention of video games, it basically covers the rest of the store.

xbox live 3month starter kit (W/ 100 pt card and Joust) $7.00
There were several Halo headsets, PS3 memory adapters, xbox wireless recievers, and xbox remotes left. This was over a week ago so YMMV.
Yesterday I found one lone 3month kit w/ Joust and 100pts in Millville, NJ. They had several Xbox remotes priced at $5.00 and tons of GBA games but I didn't see anything else.
