[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

My local Kmart just cleaned up the game section, so everything is neat and visible. I saw 1 XBOX Live Vision Gold Bundle (12 months live, camera, headset, 200 points) and the guy said that he can't sell it to me since it's $ 0.01. :(

It depends on the cashier/manager. One store I go to manually enters the last stickered price, most other stores refuse to sell anything out of the system saying they aren't allowed to.

Years ago pennied out items actually used to scan and ring up for a penny but that doesn't happen anymore.
 
Whoever bought the DDRU3 at the Kissimmee Kmart yesterday, you made me sad today. I've been waiting for that puppy for months to hit the sub-$10 price point, and it was still there Sunday. Not so much this morning.

(I know, I know, :-({|=)

Now to figure out if it's worth traveling to the other stores much further away.
 
Found an Olevia 37" LCD for 83, the downfall is that it was a store model but still looked good for 83 Id say.

Got a bunch of KRev Idol bundles ps3/360 for 4$, those make easy gifts.
 
Grabbed a 512MB memory card for $12...Thank you so much kaydigi, I've been wanting one for a while. That price is much less than what I was willing to pay. You've done a great service to your country...

Yeah. The DDRU3 magically disappeared at my local store too.
 
American Idol K2 for Wii and 360 was $49 and $39, respectively at my K. I don't know if the guy was giving me false info on his portable scanner because I could not see the price on it.

I did find a Wii Aerosmith bundle for $8.

DDRU3 was $12 not $5 yet....
 
Just got back.

I picked up DDR Universe 3 for $5 (I knew it was there last time I went in when it was $25) and the Live Vision camera for $10. That was the only DDR they had and one of the two Live Vision cameras.

Tried to get a price check for the Cars game but she said it was the $29.99 and I didn't feel like arguing as she seemed tired. They had the scarce selection of marked down games laid out on the clearance shelf and the locked shelves organized. I passed on GH3 for $7 or $9 or something. I got it at Target a few weeks ago and the NCAA Basketball for $5. Almost picked up the Red Bull game for my sister for $2.50, but declined.

I got my dad to grab a two pack of the PS2 memory carts for $10. One was still like $20.

Sadly no 120 gb HDs or $1.99 Tetris Evolutions or Beautiful Katamaris.
 
I still have SIX local Kmart stores to check, but would LOVE to get an HDtv for $83, even if it was a display model but only if it wasn't in as shitty a condition as the last one I found(watermarked screen, damaged case). Thing is two of the stores are 30-45 minutes away n knowing my luck it'd be those stores that have them.
 
When I went Sunday, they didn't have really any of the games listed for clearance. There was a clearance section but none of the games were any good and the cheapest was GH3 for $12.

Would there be any reason to go again tomorrow?

Even the selection behind the cases sucked.
 
Stopped at the Maplewood, MN K-Mart today:

Picked up NBA Live 08 and NCAA Football 08 for $5 each and a two pack of official PS2 memory cards for $10.

However, I saw a few Guitar Hero III bundles, and one Guitar Hero: Aerosmith bundle all for PS3 for $7 each. Unfortunately all the 360 copies were gone. There was also a copy of one of the DDR bundles for $20 or so, but since I'm not a fan of it I didn't pay attention. There was also 2 copies of Harry Potter: OotP (360) for $5 each as well.

Return rebuy has become YMMV now. Kmart technically doesn't allow it anymore, but it wasn't properly communicated at store level.

If that's what he said, deal of the year. I worked at Kmart in layaway when we started carrying these TVs, and I thought they were kind of a rip off at $1000, but I'd gladly pay $200-$300 for them.
 
all i got was gh aerosmith for 7 they had gh3 for ps3 and ps2 and aerosmith for x360

they also had the sony dcr-dvd but it was like 299 man i wanted that one and looking for a cheap tv.

Yes the TV was 83 dollars. Store model though, has some wear but considering youd still pay 300-400 on ebay for it used its well worth.

I also found a 32" olevia store model , the one thats 140$ but passed because it was a bit off on the color.

Oh I get ya. Youre saying buy it for 149.99 at the one Kmart, then return it to the other Kmart that would sell it for 37$, then rebuy it? I guess its worth a try since the 2 kmarts are close.
 
I went to 2 K-Marts today.... The new prices weren't in effect. :( I did manage to get a copy of Tekken Tag Tourney for $1.99 though. I guess they just found it somewhere and they stickered it with the price it was going to be, since the others were still stickered $5.99.

I'm still waiting for them to replace there stupid window so they can stock all the games back, but for now I just have to wait. While I wait do you think you can update the list by friday?

i charged them completely and neither of the packs will let the controller connect to the xbox. my older rechargeable pack works fine...but when i try to use either of the new packs, neither works. >.
 
We've actually went over this a few times throughout the thread. General concensus is that updating the list would mean more people know what's on clearance and for what price, which would mean those things would be harder to find. Which in the end means, the list won't be updated, you just need to keep track of the thread.

ha no the red was broken on it so probably needed to be replaced and it was a little touchy in general. I got the 37 inch olevia for 83, so it was odd the 32 inch version was 140

The highlighted part of the first quote is another reason not to update the main list yet. It takes a while for these prices to propagate to all the stores. Just use kaydigi's list for now. I may have it updated by Friday though.

I need to check out a Kmart. Which AI:Encore 2 are $4? Just the PS3 ones? I just bought the 360 and PS3 ones for $10 a few weeks back, dammit. I guess I'll try to return the PS3 version and hope to catch them when they put it back out. But that sucks because it means two 25 mile trips with a very small chance for success :cry:.

I really hope you picked it up. I don't even have room or use for it, and I would've bought it.

Edit: Just saw that you did. Might have to see what K-Marts are around and convince my buddy to go on a hunt with me.

WARNING: To anyone buying 360 Nyko Charging Station!

After calling their customer service earlier I found out that if your controllers barcode number (located on the backside where you put the battery pack into) ends in 024 or higher, the rechargeable battery packs will NOT be compatible with the controller. They will have you ship them in, and they will replace them free of charge for newer, compatible ones.

I was assured (and confirmed it myself through a bit of research) that the product itself is not defective, and that the only reason why newer controllers (whose barcode ends in 024 or higher) are not compatible is because microsoft has messed around with newer controllers and they made some changes that made these battery packs not work right.

Bottom line, if your barcode ends in 024 or higher, they will not work so just call them and get a replacement fixed. If your barcode ends in anything lower than 024 they will work perfectly and you're all set. It's a bit of an inconvenience if you have to get them replaced, but then again they are only $7. It is also not their fault MS messed around with the newer controllers, and they are replacing them free of charge....so if you dont need the packs right away and only need some spare or if you can wait, then it's still a great pick up.
 
Anyone have a link to the Olivia televisions? Are they tube versions? Or LCD?

That would be a steal for an $83 LCD.

Suggestion on the TVs, take the barcode to your electronics section. Have them do a search. The guy did one for me. We have 5 kmarts in my area. He did a quick search and was able to see the stock at each store.

Thats REALLY asking a lot of a Kmart employee. There would have to be a worker present in electronics for that to happen.

Stopped into a local kmart 2 days ago. They had a bunch of stuff but nothing had the newer prices. I did pick up Blue Dragon (360) and Lost Planet (360) for $1.99 each.

just wondering where you get the barcode? or do you mean the UPC number listed?

after hitting a few stores i tried calling one last one just to check their stock and in the amount of time they kept putting me on hold i was able to drive there and hang up as i pulled into the lot - awesome

The only problem with THAT suggestion is that if you can't clearly see the screen on the register, then the employee may just bullshit you and tell you that NONE of the stores have them in stock and then go buy 1-2 or so for themselves.

This is why, again, if you're not willing to do the legwork(or driving) then you don't deserve to get ANY of the deals. Being lazy means you're giving someone else a chance to grab something you might otherwise get.

NEVER call on a deal and NEVER have an employee check stock levels for items unless you can CLEARLY see the screen.

Of course, but you gotta play it casually.

Like ill drive to 2-3 of the kmarts near me, but 2 of them are too far away to chance them not having the markdowns in their system yet. So ill call and ask if they have something lame like the Intercooler. Ill ask them to scan it. If they say 10, ill assume markdowns for this month arent up yet. If they say 5, then I know its go time to go there myself and start scanning everything. You could even try a more useless item like a mem stick. So if the markdowns arent made aware to that employee yet, they still wont know after you make the call. This worked at one location that takes 40 mins to drive too. they confirmed intercooler was 5, so made the trip. nothing was marked yet for the new month and was able to makeout very well.

In the case of the TV I agree that you have to be more carefull. I should have noted I had hit all the locations first to make sure I saw it myself. I also made sure I saw the scan guns that said if they did or did not have them in stock.

some other things i was wondering... don't they have stuff stored in the back? every store i went to told me they just had whatever was on the floor in stock

and also - i know the golden rule of do not call.. but calling just to see if they sell the brand of tv since they can spot check the floor and don't see the actual price... is that so bad?

after you hit all the local spots... wasting gas and time to come out empty handed is no fun..

thoughts people?
