[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: chttp://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way).

Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Like I posted a few posts back, as long as you do it casually, like call about a lesser cared about product, youre golden. then you at least can tell if they are in effect.

As for stock. There has to be stuff in the back. I bought what I thought was the only 2 Krev Encore 2 with Mics for 10$ last month. I went back to that store this month and they had 2 more. Sweet cause they were now $4 but odd cause I swear I grabbed them all.

I print out a barcode sheet before I head into Kmart so I dont have to have someone unlock the case to price check stuff

upcdatebase.com is where you can get the barcodes from. Then print them out on a sheet, scan them on the price checker at the store.

As for the TV barcode, I simply took the price sticker off the side of the TV, brought it to the price scanner to check the price. Otherwise, youll have to get an employee to come over and scan it. Easier doing it yourself.
 
Picked up Guitar Hero 3 bundle PS3, American Idol Encore 2 PS3, and a 1 gig SD stick for a total of 15 bucks and some change, the lady at the check out (since there was nobody as usual in electonics) almost had a heart attack.

After calling their customer service earlier I found out that if your controllers barcode number (located on the backside where you put the battery pack into) ends in 024 or higher, the rechargeable battery packs will NOT be compatible with the controller. I had a charger set and a couple Nyko play and charges from a year or so ago when target clearanced them. A couple batteries worked with all controllers and a couple other batteries worked with the controller from my 2 year old 360, and a controller I bought a year ago, but not with the controller that came with the elite I bought last year to replace my first 360. I noticed that they didn't seem to align with the contacts quite right. I got a new Nyko charge set last month when they dropped to 12 and those batteries work great in the elite controller (37 bar code), my halo controller (26 barcode) and the white controller (under 24 bar code). These batteries are shaped a little differently on the non-connection side than the others. Instead of a smooth rounded back, they have a concave back. Maybe these are more compatible with MS's changes? I would compare more, but I traded in the imcompatible batteries a few weeks ago.

The Ghetto is where the good stuff can be found. Anyway I almost never go to K-mart but today I found one of the Xbox 360 webcams and a two pack rechargeable controller kit for 17 dollars total. Also picked up a PS3 intercooler for 7 bucks but I may just give it away. No overheating issues with my three units.

I should really, but I'm just trying to prevent other CAG's from hearing that 'joe shmoe from X department was covering in electronics and saw the cheap price on Y item and bought them all up' when they go in 20 minutes after calling for a price check.

You don't even know how many times I broke the 'cardinal rule' of CAG(don't call for a deal) before I realized it was to my detriment to call.

Anymore, if I want a deal badly enough, I make the trip. Although, the only things I'd really want from this round of clearances are the 37" Olevia tv or the Zelda DS bundle, the rest means squat to me.

I've been to a few "ghettos" in NYC and they're all cleaned out... I can't find any good clearance deals in NY no matter what kind of neighborhood I go into... :cry:

Got a Rock Rev bundle for the 360 for $7. It was marked $56 FTW!

While I was purchasing it I noticed they had a whole stack of PS3 GH Aerosmith bundles way up on top of the video game case (funny, you can't see them when game shopping - only from a distance ;)). I figured I'd pick one up for $7, why not. They got it down and it rang up $69.99! WTF!?

That's Diablo 2 was 1.99 at the ghettoK. Also the 120GB HD that was at the other store Monday was gone. Was gonna get it for a friend and I thought it would be safe as it was buried in the back of the case. PS3 GHA game only doesn't match Kay's pricing. The main thing I wanted for me was the Rock Revo kit just to check out the drumming portion of games for cheap and upgrade later if I liked it. I was shocked it stuck and it probably will stay stuck.

Who woulda thought that we'd be getting GH Bundles for under 10? I contemplated getting one for 50 when Guitar Center had that half off deal a year ago. Now I'm kicking myself for getting them as Target for 25 each.
 
Yeah, well the GH bundle was $69.99 at my Kmart (while Rock Rev was $7) so go figure...

All 3 stores here that had the 120GB :360: HDD kit as of Sunday were sold out of them on Tuesday when they hit $37. Dammit. I guess I'll just live with my $75 one...
 
Was able to grab a 120 GB hard drive at one kmart for 37, then was able to goto the other kmart that still had it for 149 price match it for 37. Pricematching from store to store is def ymmv. The old return/rebuy might be more/less effective.
 
They had mounds of guitar hero boxes at Kmart last night. I was able to pick up

Forgot to include this in my previous post and I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but the fairly knowledgeable employee at the KMart I was at told me another employee had come in and gotten a few things including:

Sony DVD/5.1 System $60

He thought it was a blu-ray system, but I really doubt that.
 
Went to the K-Mart in Woodstock, IL this morning and picked up a copy of Guitar Hero III (the bundle) and Guitar Hero Aerosmith (also the bundle), both for my PS3. I love having gotten 2 games and 2 guitars for only $14.98 after tax :D

It's not a :br: system. But it is an upconverting :dvd: system. It comes in a red box, but I can't recall the model #

If you google the UPC #, you may get a link to a site that can render the barcode. That was my lazy way of doing it.
 
i just tryed the kmart down the street. last week before i knew about this there was lost planet, ghost recon, and forza 2. well today they just had forza 2 and it was 20 dollars after scanned...:( maybe next time
 
I was able to return and re-buy :wii: GH Aerosmith bundle at Kmart yesterday. I had picked it up for $20 less than a month ago. I was able to get it now for $8.

I saw some .01 out games, but when I took them to the scanner it said "Check Shelf Display for Price". They were tagged $19.99, but judging by the dust on them, that was some time ago. There was no one in Electronics, so I just left them on the shelf.

Any suggestions....Anyone experience this and figured out a way to get the deal.

The Platinum Hits version is indeed $20, it's the original packaging that was marked down. Tough to find, unless it's buried in a case somewhere.

Was it the platinum hits Forza 2? Only the NON-PH is on clearance.

One of my local stores came up with 3 of the 32" Olevias when I had him scan the barcode today, but there weren't any on the floor and the electronics guy (who was surprisingly right there at the cash register) couldn't find any in the stock room. He mumbled something about how they might not be added to the inventory yet (as if they had just arrived from the truck) but they wouldn't still be receiving these TVs if they're being clearanced out, would they?
 
Nope. Those Olevias are 2-3 years old.

Something that is very common is the inventory numbers being out of whack at Kmart. It could say 1 3 5, and they might honestly have 0. I think I heard they are doing store inventory soon so that should reset the numbers

That's what I figured, but I thought I'd check. FWIW, this same location had the 360 GHIII bundle scan at $104 :D

my GHA and GHIII bundle Scanned at 7 bucks,
so im taking my receipt from the 21 dollars i paid less than 2 weeks ago, and getting my 14 bucks back!!!

I really wish I would stuck with GHIII id rather play those songs then the GHA
but no matter because I have RB2 with track packs and GHWT

Just wanted Bulls on Parade from GHIII anyway : (
 
Hit up another K today. Picked up American Idol E2 and GH3 both for PS3 and Rock Revolution for 360. All for the listed clearance prices. Total was $18.xx!!
 
Kmarts in Riverside, Ca were disappointing when I went today, they had nothing left. No harddrives, no cameras, no olevias. All I was able to find was Tiger woods 08 for the 360 for $5.

I picked up an hp photosmart c4480 printer/scanner/copier for $40 at my kmart. There was only one left so I figured Id buy it instead of risk waiting for another drop. There was also a lexmark printer for $20 but it was an open box return.

Gaming related: Got Guitar Hero Aerosmith for $7 (5 left) at one store and the SCEA USB pack for $5 (3 left) at another store
 
Managed to find a PS3 RockBand SE bundle for $35 and tons (left about 10) of PS3 GH:Aerosmith for $7
So if any CAGers in the RI area were looking for GH there should still be a bunch at the Cranston KMart on Garfield Ave (which, I was surprised, is the only KMart in RI)
 
Thanks for the heads up guys, was able to get a 120GB HD. Was thinking about buying a HD and make one myself for the 360 but this will save me the hassle of doing it and save a few bucks.

This is very true. When the IPOD 8Gs clearanced really cheap a month or two ago, one of the local K-Marts supposedly had an inventory of 3 of them in black, and I went in to see if I could get lucky. Of course, they didn't have any, but the electronics head guy (who happened to be *very* cool, helpful, and on top of things) was completely transparent about the reason for the discrepancy in the on-hand numbers vs. the reality of the situation: employee theft.

He even *apologized* for the problem, and immediately corrected the problem with the system. And lest you think he was hogging it all for himself or other employees, I watched the guy clearance tons of stuff in my presence and restock it on the shelf.
 
I will handsomely reward (say.. brand new Madden 10? + another new game) anyone who can pick me up a 120GB HD.

I've seen the Olevia LCD 37" at all the Kmarts I've been to and they still have it in the $700 zone. Oh yeah, and they refused my beautiful UPC's! This was in Hawaii by the way.

Mine is standing on end in my office right now. I need to figure out where to stash it as well - though my son might make me open it up to play. At the very least I was considering getting the game out to see just how awful it is. As for the drums, this is now the 4th set we have in the house with one more to come soon (Beatles Rock Band SE).
