[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

Absolutely. Visited a KMart I had never been to today and immediately knew I wasn't going to find anything because all the clearance items organized and prices correctly.

We had the guy scan several games (we were out and forgot to print barcodes). He used the handheld price-scanner, which scanned the prices higher than at the register. Romancing Saga came up as $8 on the scanner, the rest were $20+.

We decided just to get Romancing Saga, and lo and behold on the register it rang up as $4.90. So we had him check the other games, and sure enough they were all lower. We picked up the other 3 games listed above.

No sign of Disgaea 2 and Rogue Galaxy, which is what we mainly went in for. Fortunately we walked out with some good games!

maybe I need to scan the PSP Stamina Batteries the next time I go to my store. They have about 3 of them sitting in the game section with a "REDUCED" yellow sticker on them but the price is showing $34.99. I have not seen the DS Browser in retail since Nintendo announced they were only going to offer it on-line.

Hey, which K-Marts are you going to? I live in Los Angeles and went to the nearest one, however, they didn't have anything.

I've been hiding these 3 for a while... EBA is actually for a friend (got him Disgaea 2 a while ago, giving them as a Christmas gift because I'm such an awesome friend).

Contact I'll probably keep for me, Hotel Dusk I'm not sure about yet, even though I've heard it was very good, I can't see myself playing it anytime soon.

That's what I noticed bout the last Kmart I checked locally for a clearance tv. Instead, I ended up picking up Just Cause(PS2) for $7.42 after tax. I wanted the damned Xbox version, though my Xbox was finnicky about playing it the last time I had it, so maybe it's for the best.

I also noticed a 27" Sylvania sdtv, originally $259.99, which was down to $145.00 on clearance, which would've been about $102 with the 30% off. I didn't get a model # or anything, since that's outside my cheapass range to pay for a tv, but I'll get the info if I hit that Kmart again sometime soon.

I definately just renewed my XBox Live through 09. I loved this sale. Thank you, K-Mart!
 
There are so many posts! i must have missed something :(

i went to my local Kmart, and nothing was 30% off as far as i can tell. I rang up a few games, but disgeae 2 was still 12.00$ and xenosaga 2 was 14.00$ still. I'm not sure what this 30% being mentioned in every thread is about =/
 
I did a last, last minute run into Kmart tonight and man it was like they completely restocked the 360 clearance games............. and none of them rang up correctly Talk about a tease
 
Well now that all this clearance sale chaos is over with, it's left me wanting more. Since I've only been aware of this for about a month, does anyone have an idea when other games will get marked down? Is it a random thing? Do they do it at a set time? Do the games go on clearance one by one or in bunches? Are there any 360 titles to watch out for?
 
The sale may not be over. I was in a Kmart tonight (Saturday evening) and the clerk in electronics had a bunch of new shelf tags on the counter waiting to be hung for Sunday's sale prices. One of them was a large sign for 30% off of clearance electronics, and it was dated on the bottom 10/28 to 11/03. I asked the clerk if the sale had been extended, and he said that it had. YMMV of course, but I'll definitely be checking tomorrow. I wanted to go back for some stuff at a different store anyway.
 
Does anyone have specifics about the 27 inch LCD TV on clearance? I found a 26 inch LCD Sylvania on clearance, but it was 390 after the 30% discount instead of the 299.XX that was quoted from a previous poster. I would have been all over it for 300 after tax, but apparently the TV was 500 something before the discount. I didn't wanna pay 430 dollars for a 720p set.
Does anyone know if TVs drop any faster than the game clearances? If what Elmira says is true and the sale is extended, it might be a great opportunity for me to get a cheap TV if there's another drop.
 
I went this evening and had an all right experience. Picked up Kameo and Alaskan Cabelas for 10 dollars and change. Tried to get Phantasy Star Universe but it rang up for 29 something.

The video game section was pretty poorly laid out. There were about 6 rows of random 360 games about 15 deep meaning you had no way of telling what was actually there. The guy working was damn friendly however, opened the case and let me have at it. He had heard about the clearance but didn't know all the titles. After I told him I was looking for Just Cause, he told me he thought he had a copy in back. He left and came back with yet another crate of games(some clearance titles) but no Just Cause.
 
Just an update to my earlier post:

I PC'd Gun for the original Xbox last night, which WAS $5 or $10 last time I had it checked. It rang up 'check shelf label'. I already have it, but was curious as to what it would ring up under the 30% off clearance deal.
 
Been eyeing a Persona 3 for a bit at my local K-mart...and the post from a few days back about it being 12.00 got me thinking (and I knew that post wasn't even worth a trip to the store to check, based on previous kmart markdowns).

When could we expect a drop on it? It was released on August 14, so in relation to what the time between drops are, could anyone give an estimate as to when? I would put a guess as to middle of November we might see a drop to 42 dollars or so, then the gradual drops after that. Anyone else got any ideas?

As far as my haul from the current batch of drops:

Disgaea 2, Rogue Galaxy, Kameo, & PDZ...these were all picked up over the past few weeks.
 






worth 7 bones? i liked the wii one from gs during the gamedays sale but i dont know much about this. im already thinking of returning it b/c it doesnt really match my elite
 
I dont like standing my 360 upright. I have the Intercoolers that I got with my Nyko Performance Kit, and it's the one that attaches to the back. I'll probably end up selling it since it came with the dual charge station (which is what I really wanted)
 
I went to my local Kmart today and Mega Man ZX scanned at 29.99. It seems that price drop varies by store or employees are just lazy?
 
I'm guessing that the 30% off is still going on? I just picked up Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II for the 360 for $13.30.

I found an Over G Fighters and LOTR:BFME II at one Kmart Saturday night and they both rang up as not in the system. The assistant manager instructed the cashier to adjust Over G to the tagged $59.99. Needless to say I put a halt to that. I said it should be on clearance but she just said, "no, it's marked $59.99". OK... I remember in the past I was able to get the occasional Kmart employee to look up the last clearance price. Failing that, if it is out of the system then that means it went to 90% off and then was removed. One guy knew this and would use the hand scanner to find the original MSRP and then mark it down 90%. So by that logic it should have been $6 ;). But I think this is just a case of them screwing up the price entry. Though why they then aren't ringing up at full price (as others have seen) I have no idea.

HOWEVER, I had something similar happen at another store where it was asking for the department number, yet the games were ringing up correctly. That's what happened this time too - it prompted the guy for a department number. Maybe the other guy just put in the correct price though when he had to override, I'm not sure...

Anyway, a few other things came up right so it was just some games that were screwed up. However, I also found a PS2 Network adapter and it rang up the full $39.99. So this store is a bit wacky.

I was about to head up to Roanoke yesterday, but I had a feeling K-Mart might be cleaned out up there. The only thing I've really been wnating to find in Gun for the 360.

On the rack with all the 19.99 or less games. I looks like all the Cube and most of the GBA games were taken out of the case and put on there. Went back again and grabbed the last Hotel Dusk and dug around, they have the PSP stamina battery but I didn't ask got a price check. Also I saw another copy of Kameo and PDZ in the case but left them for other.
