[SIZE=+1]Three important notes[/SIZE] (please read these before posting questions):

[SIZE=+1]1)[/SIZE] Most of the prices listed below will not be shown on the games at any given Kmart. Chances are if you can find them (and they don't have restickered UPCs - see point 3 below) they will ring up at one of the clearance prices listed. The best way to check it is to bring a UPC sheet with you and use the floor scanners to verify the pricing before you ask the Kmart associate to open the case.

[SIZE=+1]2)[/SIZE] Kmart price drops are generally national in scope. However, each store must process the price drops individually. While the price drops originate from corporate, different stores have wildly different ways of dealing with them. Some will implement them immediately, some weeks later, and some, it seems, never. Also, there are occasional glitches in the pricing where a game that is otherwise on clearance will ring up at full price at certain stores.

OK, on to the prices...

The wonderful thing about Kmart is that they combine dirt-cheap clearance pricing with a general lack of organization. Thus CAGs in the know, hopefully using info from this thread, can find some amazing deals.

First off, here's the UPC database list as created by Slash and updated by MightySlacker: http://kmart.slashbunny.com/. Use this to verify pricing in your local Kmart.

The prices are organized alphabetically and by system (thanks again to ShiningSlade for starting it off this way). What we are currently missing is a good list of accessories. I have added a few that I know about. We need more info on these (and there must be more to uncover).

In general, I'm sticking with ShiningSlade's method of listing games. However, there are a few changes. Since the exact pricing is so YMMV, and many games ring up at 2 or 3 different clearance prices I will list all of these separated by slashes, with the cheapest first. For example: Psychonauts $3/$14/$24. I am also adding a bit to the color coding - see below:

I went to my local KMART, and it seems there is no deal... although my KMART seems to have never had the deal to begin with.

was the 30% off deal only certain stores? my Kmart seems to have never heard of it. :(

4 out of the 5 kmarts i went to had no signs for the extra 30% in the electronics department. theres no surprise there that they didnt know about it. but what you can do is to scan the games. usually all games that had been slapped with the $14.99 sticker are now $8.40 after the 30%. but if it rings up as $14.99, then the sale is over.
 
Found something interesting regarding the 10% off coupon...

I picked up a bunch of games at a faraway K-Mart last night, clearance stuff for flipping at GS and a Persona 3 to return near me so there's a copy local for when it goes on clearance. I used the 10% off coupon on this purchase, but was refunded the full amount for P3 when I returned it at a different store with the reciept this morning.

So, its off the total purchase, not items on the reciept. This can probably be abused, but probably illegally.

Yeah I would say that ranks right up there with returning unopened games to Wal*Mart.
 
I took advantage of this clearance about a year ago, but had no idea they were still knocking down prices. So I went by Kmart yesterday and picked up Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Tomb Raider: Legend, Phantasy Star Universe, Final Fantasy IX, Moto GP '06 (all for $4.90 each), and Superman Returns ($7). I was extremely pleased by my haul. I plan on keeping the first two and trading others at Blockbuster or Gametz.com. I'll be going by a different Kmart later to look for Table Tennis and Prey.
 
The only time I ever saw an in-store ad tag on the shelf was my local kmart. They had a rolling rack filled with boxes of generic ipod accessories with the "30% off clearence priced electronics" signs all over the rack. The dates for the tags said "10/21-11/3" but I've been duped by these tags before and didnt have the time to check anything in the store today to see if it still rang up 30% off clearence.

I went to two Kmarts in my area and the clearance games were still ringing up with an additional 30% off.

I did not see any signs posted about when it will end.
 
I was able to buy Amped 3 for seven dollars, and the clerk was knew exactly what was going on. He said he wasn't sure if they were going to extend the deal until he came into work today. I'm going back tomorrow to buy some more games.

It was extended?! That's great news, hopefully some more older titles will be added in the future. My Kmart seems to be clueless about this stuff as there's no signage, and the employees there usually have no clue about anything. I guess that's a benefit. I wouldn't mind looking into one of those cheap 360 faceplates.

i thought about price adjusting for persona 3 when i go to ohio for thanksgiving cause i'll be able to stop by at that Clarion, PA kmart.. maybe i should ask the CS first over there and see what they'll say. thats a $38 difference that they'll have to refund me!!! i need to make sure that its $12 for sure first

What kind of 27" tv are you talking about? SDtv or HDtv? I ask because I did see a 27" one(SDtv), which WAS $259 before it started clearancing and was @ $145 as the current clearance price.

If I had the extra cash, I would've probably bought one, since it's $102 with the 30% extra off(and even less,$87, if you can get that 10% coupon to work in conjunction with the 30%).

^Probably the 27" HD Syntax? It looks to have really terrible picture quality but if you could get it for $200 or less it'd be a good deal.
 
Ahhh ok.....though that may be my entry level HDtv, since that's about the cheapass price I'm willing to pay for HD anything right now. And please people, spare me the 'you should save more money and go brand name' rants.

I've had third party controllers on game systems last longer than the systems themselves, I've had 'junk' brand and even thrift store tvs last longer than 'name brand' tvs. So again, please save it for someone who cares about brand whoring.

No Kmart in my area has this. I rang up at the only 2 near my. both have the games ringing up at higher then listed.

Bought PSO for 360 at 7.00 :( Rang up for 29.00 but was reduced to 7.00 with manual override. I tried 2 others, but both came up at 19.00, no 30% off.

Same thing with the 2nd Kmart I tried, no one know about a 30%, and nothing rang up.

Oh well. I'll flip these 2 phantasy stars at Gamestop I guess for the extra 10$ trade in. + 20% towards the purchase of G.Hero3. It'll be a free 10$ or so, better then nothing :(
 
I think my K-Mart is still doing the 30% off. I scanned Valkyrie Profile 2 and it came up as $13.30. I also saw Gun and a lot more listed here. I scanned Feel the Magic and it came up as $10.00.
 
So far, no GS I've tried has been able to stack the 20% and extra $10...and I've had managers at cool stores ringing me up and offering to try to get me both.

How much is Magical Starsign, DS Browser, and Hotel Dusk running for everyone? I found about 4 more Discgaea 2 and Rouge Galaxys today and got those. No good 360 games besides a viva faceplate. Found 3 Romancia Saga's but they scanned at 49.99 :( and a time crisis 3 with gun at regular price :( and the guy said they just changed prices but why didnt they change those 2! Ive wanted time crisis 3 for awhile now and finally found one
 
The original poster said a 27 inch HD LCD TV by Sylvania. The one I found was the same type and brand, but a 26 inch that was 390 after the discount. Does anyone have a SKU for the Syntax, if that's the one that is indeed on clearance?

Dragged my wife to two K-Marts today and only found Genji x2 :fridge:
Found Virtua Tennis 3 also for $32 'clearanced' (comes to 22 after 30%) but I didn't bother. That's the only KMarts in my area. Lame.

Hi,

An LCDs performance cannot always be judged by how it looks on the floor. Many times the bad looking LCDs are simply hooked up to a crappy signal.

Get the model number for the TV and then google it for reviews. Some Syntaxs are very good according to the AVS forum.

I have a 26 Syntax LCD I purchased from CC 2 black fridays ago. It didn't have an HMDI port so I hooked up my xbox 360 via the vga port. The Syntax was my main console gaming tv for 2 yrs until I got a Samsung. (Note: my Syntax's picture was just as good as my Samsumg's pic. I got the Samsung because it was bigger and on sale.)

Thanks, i was refering to the 30% off. They had Kameo and Chromehounds in the glass case when i got FF V on Saturday.

Yeah, that's right, that's how much the 26 inch was that I saw. You say you saw it a month ago, eh... Now it'd truly be magical for there to be another drop this week. I'd be all over it for 300 or under.

Does anyone know if the 10% off coupon will work for consoles? Actually, for a DS Lite? What does "home electronics" mean as an exclusion? That sounds like stereos and such, but perhaps that includes handheld game systems?

It's a 26'' Syntax Olevia LCD TV. I have one, as I bought it from my Kmart last December for $380ish after my discount after tax. It's decent, for the price.

It's probably down another $100 by now though, and then there's the 30% off.
And any TV that gets taken off of the floor's plan, will end up being clearanced out.
