Official LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS Thread !

I would have that this would be the game they would actualy do something with link and the tri force of curage. Let down again.... Its strange that he never calls on its power, of if the point of curage is its somethign you never see but and its the things we cant see that make us strong. Still i wanted some more story that delt with that subject matter.

strange, but the game seemed small to me. Not enuff side quests in my opinion, its lame how the fortune teller reveals the locations of all the heart containers. That made it way to easy. Zelda i felt did not play a strong role in the game as well, and that was disapointing. the ending made me feel empty, and unfullfilled. Its a good game, but man, just alittle bit more and it would have made the game a whole lot better.

White-Wolf, if you're going to talk about the ending, please use spoiler tags. There's people here that want to know NOTHING about what's ahead of them. Thanks! :)
Awesome! Enjoy! :whistle2:D
Thanks, even though it wasn't much of a shock. I was the one who waited out from 6:30-10:00 for it :p

I stayed away from this thread to not get myself too excited, but expect me to be pretty active from now on.
It's official the only thing (well so far) I can't fucking stand about this game is fishing. It's not even that it is hard but I wish there were more fish biting. Yeah it wouldn't be realistic but who gives a poop?
Fishing and riding Epona... Both can be *awful*, but riding Epona edges out because they make you do it at critical, dramatic points in the game.
Saving the wagon with the Zora child before the third temple while flying enemies are dropping bombs and the three boar-back archers kept re-spawning was *ass*.

There are moments that are so zen-like in this game, and the art direction continues to absolutely amaze me as I plod through it -- I'm worse than botticus! I spend too much time poking around and savoring the beauty of it. Still, there are some poor mechanics and problems that keep it at actually under a 9.0 for me.

and just what ending did I give away?

btw i tried 2 diffrent spoilers on 2 diffrent sites vg cats and wtc, so how do i use spoiler tags here?

*edit* never mind, i got it

warning end of the game spoiler

midna is a really hot babe at the end of the game. Zelda could have used some of that charicter development if you ask me. zelda might as well be used love intrest number 3 behind midna and the one that looses her memory

I fucking hated that part, or am currently hating it, I know exactly what to do, I just can't do it. I love the rest of the game so far though.
I hate when game makers can't tell the differance between difficult and FRUSTRATING.
I looked through quite a few pages and didn't see an answer, but I have this question about the end....

Does anyone know the meaning of what looks like Zant showing back up and Ganon getting his neck snapped?
I assumed this was linked to Zant's comment about "as long as my master lives, he'll alsways bring me back / I can't die" comment when you beat him. Showign that showed that Zant, too, was truly finished when oyu beat ol' Ganon there.

I've said this probably ten times in this thread, but I just odn't understand you guys...I had absolutely no trouble with that part, and thought it was cool.

I had trouble at first mainly with shooting the enemies down, until realized I could just z-target and shoot. Then it was a breeze.

I never seemed to have a problem rideing the horse, if thats what your talking about. RE4 mercinaries. F-hard. Zelda, not really hard at all, i just got got stumped on one puzzle in the
sky temple
were you have to turn on the huge fans so you can dual shot hook across. Took me 3 days to figure out that you lower yourself into the room then you can reach the switch. That was the hardest part of the game in my opinion. link to the past was and still is a harder game.

Tell me about it. That one had me pulling my hair out. I never thought for one second about dropping into that room with the hook shot and shooting the next switch.

I didn't have any issues with the horseback riding sequences. Once I figured out that I could ride the horse and swing my sword at the same time... things became much easier.
Of course after I got so damn pissed off at the beast form of Ganon that everything was easy after that.

where do i get the sword and the slingshot im stuck in the beging of the game can t seem to find any thing help plz

In the village get on the cliff things in the river and find a plant that says Pick and pick it then blow and an Owl will come. Aim the owl at a monkey down the river with a carraige and get the carraige and bring it back to the mom.

She will give you a fishing rod, go fish where the cat is behind a house and catch two fish, the second one the cat will eat and go home. Follow the cat home and buy the slingshot that is in that house.

Next go back to your house and you will find the sword in the house after a talking segment.

Posting because I'm frustrated as hell, I HATE that a m-f'in snowboarding sequence is more difficult than any temple boss I've fought yet (only 2 to go).

I'm like right now in the middle of Goron Mines and man this game rocks! I'm at like 11 hours already cause I'm taking my sweet time and not using a guide (So far I only got stuck a bit at the part where I had to find the bridge to get across to kakiro village but I didnt pay attention to when Midna mentioned the "Forest" part so I was searching all of hyrule field lol.) Saving Colin was pretty sweet, and I found the horseback part pretty easy (although I did get knocked off in the jousting match and given a Game over screen :p).I don't remember the last time I liked a game so much that I could play like 5 hours in a row and still want to play it. I don't think I'll finish this before school, but who knows. If I don't, to log another 10 hours into the game will take me probably a good 2 weeks.

Either way great game and awesome graphics, so far one of my best games ever. I hope the puzzles get a little tougher though... I'd like to be stuck a little longer. I definitely think it deserves a good 9.5-10... gamespot was too low in my opinion. (The music does stink in some areas, but about 85% of the time the music is good)

you too? man, that was THE hardest part of the game. Hands down. horseback... snowbord... eh..... That thing was crazy. I felt really dumb though when i figured it out....

you had to turn into a wolf and throw him down that messed me up, i kept thinking you had to mash A in order to grab him
>< i felt like an idiot when i found out you have to hold it

gannon wasent too bad. While it was hard to figure out, i did have the same problems you mentioned. I Still got it on one life I think (i had alot of hearts) and the *expensive protection* helped alot, before i realized the trick.

I forget if something was said about the "Twilight Princess." Is the Twilight Princess Zelda or is she the "Light World" princess? Don't tell me WHO the Twilight Princess is if it isn't Zelda... ya try not to include any spoilers in this answer. (Any spoilers up to the Goron Mines is fine though)

Basically I just want to know everything said about Zelda up til the Goron Mines that I forgot about. Especially in the scene at the start of the game after you as a Wolf scale that tower to find the hooded lady (I know who this is...just put it this way for spoilers)
Anyone? I gotta know everything before I continue playing lol
Zelda is not the twilight princess

Just beat the game in a mere 67 hours! I'm really disappointed it's over; hopefully that new Metroid game will be out in the next few months.

One small complaint, just wondering if others felt the same:
Was anyone let down by Zant? He seemed really intimidating all throughout the game, but then when you reach him in the Twilight Temple, he starts hopping around like some assclown and making weird noises. He should have kept that helmet on, too. It was all made up for with the Hyrule Castle dungeon and Ganon showdown though. I hope the next Zelda cuts out the training wheels and makes it really tough with lots of swordfights - the Trial cave and knight battles were awesome, especially with all of the different special skills

man that part scared the crap out of me with the Ilia eyes thing...that one cutscene...aaaa now I can barely look at her without being freaked out cause it seems like she'll betray me! (Im just guessing here...so this isnt a spoiler cause I actually dont know for sure).
...altohugh if she doesn't betray me I'd like to know xD

I thought the same thing at first but it makes sense since the basic reason for his becoming evil was plain childish jealousy. Ganon's badassness more than made up for it.

I just beat Lakebed Temple at 20-21 hours. I found this one pretty fun...probably my favorite so far. Either that or the Forest Temple. Actually they're all pretty good...I think it just depends what mood I'm in lol. Anyway I think I have most of the hearts pieces. After looking at a guide to see the heart pieces I'm like 2 pieces behind what I could have...so not bad considering I'm going to go through the game using no guide at all. At least thats for the main game...once I beat it, I might use a guide to get the extra stuff since that can be a bit tedious searching for hours to find one thing...

All the dungeons seem very straight forward. I think the most I've been stuck for is about 5 minutes in the Lakebed Temple...

BTW I know I'm going extremely slow...its just after every temple I've been running across all of Hyrule looking for stuff lol... now that I got the hookshot I'll explore even more. I might start picking up the pace though...cause I want to know the dang story! XD

Oh ya and the escort thing was fun too. Had to try twice cause the first time I had 1/2 a heart so I died lol

If you're having trouble on the escort mission, just shoot the birds with the bombs before they drop them with a bow (I think there is only 2 or 3). Don't worry about the wagon catching fire...just use the gale boomerang when it does by Z-targeting it. And when the boars come...just do a spin attack or use your sword to get rid of em quick.

Since I beat it on like my first try, I didnt know the path and at one point I even got lost and when I caught up to the wagon it was on fire with 3 boars around it...but I still won and the wagon had lots of health left... I dont know why everyone finds it hard 0_o

Let me try again:

Can anyone help with getting that wand to work outside of the dungeon? My son didn't understand the clues from the guy in the basement.

If you've gotten far enough in the game, you should know what I'm talking about. If not, don't worry about it.

Thanks.

The statue in the basement of the shaman's house in Kahkiro (sp) village will restore its power. :)

Tips for rollgoal? Hmm well I dont know how much I've beaten of the game but I beat lvls 1-1 to 1-8 and I used 250 Rupees >

Man I have looked everywhere for the freaking ooccoo in goron mines cause I was in there anyway getting a chest...but I even looked at his location in the guides and he isnt there!! I dont know where he is...not even in the mine location

Did you already get him the first time you went through?

Beat it right before midnight. I have been playing a lot of the mini games and fishing so my play time is really high but I love the game. Clocked 95 hours had nearly everything you could have. Having beat all other Zelda's I say wow what a great game. Very complete and I feel like its my best purchase this past year. So much fun to play. Cant wait for the next one. Now I need to rent me some Wii games cus I got nothing to play on it outside of Wii Sports. Wii play and Wario hurry up!!!

Just got done beating the game. Wow. Although its not quite as incredible as Ocarina of Time was to me (Got OOT in the 4th grade and had all F's come interim time) I still enjoyed this more than any other game I've played this year. Once again, wow.

Ya I got him in the Forest Temple and I just wanted him quickly in Goron Mines because I had gone back to get that treasure chest that required the clawshot. Couldn't find him...so I had to take the very long route... it's so weird to me. Wonder if it's a glitch?...

ooo really? So say that I got Ooccoo my first time around in a dungeon then tried to use him later in that same dungeon...could I? Or even if I find him the first time around, does he still dissapear for later on?

That explains it though, thanks... cause I just found him in Arbiter's Ground or w/e. This temple I didn't really like...I'm guessing it's the "Freakiest temple" in the game? It wasn't even that freaky though...those little skeleton guys were cool to beat and the redead things are weak. That one miniboss was kinda scary though lol. The item you get in this dungeon is pretty awesome as well... and the boss was kinda fun.

Now I'm off to the snowpeak!! That should be fun :p

eh? didn't you have to find the locations of all the statues, move them, grab the pieces of the book underneath them and then return to the guy in the basement?

How many are there that have to be found and moved? How can I move them without the rod being charged up? (Do I just grab and drag them?) Thanks.

You have to go to the basement first, he'll try the spell, it won't move the statue, but it will juice up the wand. Then you have to go around and find the other statues and move them. Fear not, they show up on the map. There's 4 if I recall.

I need to get playing this again. I stopped playing right after the third temple when
you get launched into the Desert.

Just haven't had the time or the enthusiasm to get back into it yet. RE4 has been taking over my free time.
