No idea how many we'll have for Steam night tonight, but if playing TTT isn't possible, Alan did bring up that we haven't tried No More Room In Hell yet. Alan and I both tried it separately and were like "Hey, what do I do? Oh, there are some zombies. Oh, I'm dead." And I think that's as much as we figured out.

I'm not sure if everyone has it, but it's free...and it has native Rift support. So, I could attempt to play in the Rift, die a lot, and you guys can laugh at me. Basically just another Saturday night.

Yeah, so I must not have been there for the "Taking On Helicopters" game conversation because I had no idea what you guys were talking about last night. I looked up the game after we were done playing, and for $2.50, I had to grab it. I didn't even know there was a helicopter sim with those type of graphics. I've read about some people trying to get it working with the Rift, but I guess it has some performance issues. I'm going to see what I can do with it though. It definitely looks like a cool game.

Let me know how well if it plays if you're using a 360 controller.
It's crazy. Most of the stuff I read about it was people bitching about performance issues and having beastly systems and still not being able to run the game smoothly. I have no idea what type of resolutions and framerates...or what type of anti-aliasing these people were going for. But I've only screwed around with the game briefly, and left default settings on, and it seemed fine. I was easily getting 30 FPS (and my CPU is from like 2009, lol...Athlon II X3 with an unlocked 4th core so it runs like a Phenom II X4).

As for controls...heh...they seemed fine. It's a sim, so I would wager the majority of complaints come from people who can't be bothered to put in the time to learn them. I'm not sure if there's an "easy" control scheme, but from what I saw, like most flight sims, you can manipulate basically every part of the aircraft.

From what I played around with, though...it seemed pretty responsive. I was able to ascend/decend, turn, fly around areas, etc. Again, being a sim, if you do too much too quickly, you can stall out. Maybe I'm not giving people enough credit, but I don't really trust the internet to properly assess a sim game, haha. I'm just picturing "I crashed! THIS GAME SUX!!!"

And bonus points for me that I was able to get it running on the Rift via Tridef...with headtracking, and set up my flightstick for basic controls (the control mapping is actually pretty damn elaborate...and allows you to set more bindings than a lot of games I've seen). I was just in the free play mode kind of flying around aimlessly, but for getting it up and running in about 30 minutes, it wasn't too bad. Now to just figure out what in the frak I'm doing, haha. Honestly, I can't imagine it being a bad purchase for $2.50. That's like a box of Hot Pockets, man, lol.

Yes! I can't wait to learn more about fractions!
The stretch goals are pretty amazing, and basically all a joke, lol.

Anybody for tonight? Chemistry last night was going well. Alan as c and my self as RW and Nate and Brandon on D.

We need to get Brandon just three more wins!

I've said it before, I actually enjoy playing d. I give people many bang bangs. As for the chemistry, to me, with this game, it's 100% a matter of moving the puck well and seeing where things are opening up. And again, I think you and Alan have had an easier time adjusting to that. We tend to do the best when people are making plays and passing well. And we get really bogged down when we start turning the puck over a lot (either from bad passes or skating into traffic) and don't change up our attack at all.

One play I've been trying to make more which seems to work pretty well is skating one direction and passing the puck back across your body...kind of to where you just were (depending on where your teammates are). But usually, it catches the other team off guard because they're in the process of abandoning that spot, and it's awkward for the goalie because he's sliding over as well. It can be a tricky pass to make, but once you get it down, it seems to have a high chance for success.

As for tonight, I'll play if we can get 3-4 on (won't be on until around 11:30 ET though). Not sure I'd want to do 2's when we're looking at a full night tomorrow.

I just finished
Mr. Slave's Anus. Holy shit was that simultaneously funny and disgusting.
I'm almost wishing I had bought Stick of Truth, even though I'm close to finishing it, since I'd like to go back and replay it on the other side.

Yeah, I'm very happy with my purchase. I got the Grand Wizard edition for $60 and got a $10 BestBuy Rewardzone certificate for pre-ordering it too. I do think it would be cool to play on the other side...and also to play as the different classes. I don't think anybody thought the game was going to be as deep as it actually was. Both in terms of gameplay and [customspoiler='Jeezus Cryse']Mr. Slave's Anus[/customspoiler]

I'm very intrigued...but I think I'd need like 9 or 10 reasons why handball is better than another sport...like say basketball...to push me over the edge.

It's a $10 game with an introductory price of 40% off...so, yeah. It's probably still better than NHL 14, haha.

So, the Handball game website finally started working. And yeah...no online multiplayer at all. Lame...

From their FAQ
