CAGiversary!
Perfect pricefound NHL 15 for $30 because the guy hated it as soon as he saw there were barely any modes. Needless to say, I have NHL 15 and zero of my dollars went to EA. Win Win today.

So, doing my usual Craigslist scouring today and found NHL 15 for $30 because the guy hated it as soon as he saw there were barely any modes. Needless to say, I have NHL 15 and zero of my dollars went to EA. Win Win today.
Sooo...Notch throws a hissy fit and pulls Rift support when Facebook buys Oculus. Then, a few months later he sells his company to Microsoft? lol...what in the
The problem is NBA Live at least has to try to live up to 2K. Hockey die hards and basically all of Canada will buy NHL 15 even if it had sex with their mom. When I stopped at Best Buy this afternoon to pick up my Destiny stuff, they had my copy of NHL sitting there with it.
I just told them to cancel it.
Honestly, the majority of the things that had been left out don't really affect me, and I kind of liked the gameplay, but I want EA to know that all of us are pissed.
I fully expect them to slash the price, and it will probably end up dirt cheap, like NBA Live.
I will eventually have to get it at some point, since I have every single year since it began.
Yeah, I wouldn't blame anybody for taking $2 billion...but he did. That's exactly what Facebook bought Oculus for too. It's just like the nonsense of people telling college athletes not to go to the pros early. You take the money when it's there because nobody is going to pay you for being "honorable" when things blow up in your face. If you can get guaranteed money...that equates to years, decades, or lifetimes that "normal people" have to work for, you freaking take it. Every single time.Uh, 2 billion? Thats crazy. I wouldn't blame him for that money. That's double what Twitch got.
Apparently we missed the American Truck Simulator screenshots:

LMFAO at sub $2.00 gas prices. The game must take place in the 90's.
I'm really curious about why Mojang is worth that much to Microsoft. They're an indie studio, have one (very) successful game, and a (very) successful brand. They haven't proved that they are not a one hit wonder, unlike say Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, or Bungee. It's hard to sustain the success of a video game brand long term, let alone when there is only one game. Oculus and Twitch are platforms that deliver content that is constantly evolving, which is why I get their valuation. It's like how Zynga and Farmville brands tanked after a while; they were brands that grew stale because there was no real evolution of the product.Yeah, I wouldn't blame anybody for taking $2 billion...but he did. Yeah, I mean...Minecraft is a heavy hitter. No question. But I agree, it kinda feels like they're getting in on the "end" of it, if that makes sense. The game is on basically every platform now. I don't think the game is a fad or anything. But is there even a thought for a Minecraft 2? And what would that even be?I'm really curious about why Mojang is worth that much to Microsoft. The merchandise in Walmart and Roy R us to name a few places is so ridiculous. About 8 feet worth of just Minecraft merchandise
That's pretty much what I think is happening with Minecraft. As-is, is 2 billion really worth the royalties/licence/etc? Because I don't see how there can be a Minecraft 2.But I agree, it kinda feels like they're getting in on the "end" of it, if that makes sense.
Right, the question is even if it's 2 years, are they going to get their 2 billion return on investment? I just don't see Mojang as a long-term, sustainable purchase. The benefits of owing will, imo, have diminishing returns, and I just wonder if the ROI in the early years will justify the purchase price.I want to say at least two years Alan. I usually restore k it every week I visit a walmart or toys r us. Also, I'd say you'd probably love NHL 15 and say you love it for 2 Billion. I draw the line at Shaq Fu though.
Reports are saying that Notch is the one who approached Microsoft about the deal too. What in the hell is going on with him? That just looks like a guy who is out of ideas...for Minecraft anyway, who is trying to sell high before everybody figures out it's at the end of the line. I guess Microsoft figures they can take it and "re-invent" it...but more than likely, it will be a trainwreck, haha.Right, the question is even if it's 2 years, are they going to get their 2 billion return on investment? I wouldn't say I love NHL 15 for 2 billion...not sure where you;re going with that,,,
Well, to an extent, it has to be a little different. After all, on the Rift, games are rendering in 3D. People on the Oculus forums have been saying that a general rule is you get about 25-35 fps less on the Rift than on a regular monitor. Game optimization does play a huge factor though. You really start to get a feel for what developers know what they're doing...and what devs just throw broken code on top of broken code, haha.I wtf'd so hard at the Airline leaders.
After using the DK2 for a while, I think the biggest priority is making sure the Ocuclus isnt a resource hog, so that that games can run as close as they can when not on the oculus. I have a fairly decent rig, and even then my framerrate hitches up occasionally I for those few seconds, I feel like I am going to barf. Of course, part of the responsibility lies on the game developers too.
Sounds good to me, but yeah that's too soon. It says beta in April, so should be fall/holiday time. Guess I can wait to upgrade PC until then.It looks like the consumer Oculus Rift will start rolling out by summer 2015...possibly as early as April
Yup, same old, same old. Like I said one other time, this is clearly as good as EA can do. Even the critical reviews I've seen have praised the actual gameplay, but it's little things like that that casual players don't notice. The AI still just doesn't know what they're supposed to be doing. It's kind of hard to tell from the video, but I'm assuming that one timer went in right? Finally was able to share this video from my time with Early Access. Watch the defensive players on this one.

lol...if it were easier to record a playthrough of it, I'd do it. Because of the way it renders to the Rift, I don't think Shadowplay will record from it (I did try to save the shadow afterward, but it didn't work). I think the people doing videos of it are mirroring to their monitor and then recording from that (and I can't even imagine how many system resources that uses). Not possible. I don't believe you![]()
Step 6. Get sick and throw upGod damn...those videos, lol. At least the gameplay is good....right?
Oh, and here you go, Alan. Minecraft in the DK2. Very easy to install.

Additional instructions in case the stuff on the site is confusing:
1. Put the DK2 in "extend" mode
2. Start up your Minecraft launcher and select the new DK2 version for your profile
3. Switch the DK2 to be your primary monitor in nVidia Control Panel or whatever you use
4. If the Minecraft launcher jumps to the DK2 screen an easy way to move it back is to press the Windows key and left/right arrow (depending on how the DK2 is plugged in in relation to your main monitor) rather than trying to make sense of it on the DK2
5. Click "Play". Game should launch on the DK2
One other thing you may want to do once in the game is go into the options, find the VR Options, and go into the HUD/overlay options and make it a little bigger. The default for it is pretty damn tiny. Other than that though, it should run pretty great.
Yeah...but you're enjoying it because you love hockey. Not because it's a good game. There should be a difference.I'm enjoying the game play. Playing HUT, I love the puck chasers because it usually leaves Richards in the slot or my D open. I usually give it to Richards and fires it right in. If you play like an idiot, you actually pay for it, at least till a patch comes out.
Haha, well, just throw up on a Creeper and you'll be fine.Step 6. Get sick and throw up![]()
