Yeah...I am losing this battle, lol. So far, I've bought Penumbra Collection, The Void, Condemned (beat it on 360, but allegedly, it works decent with the Rift...and apparently, I have a desire to crap my pants), and Zombie Driver HD. Fortunately, pretty much all of that was paid for with card money.

But I'm also planning on buying DARK (I know this game sucks, but it was actually made with the Rift in mind...which I really want to see), Sherlock Holmes Collection, Huntsman: The Ophanage (more crap in pants), and Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines all from that JakeNome dude. For anyone who doesn't know, he offers pretty substantial discounts and gifts you the games through Steam. He's got DARK for $11 (Steam's sale price is $19.99)...only reason I'm going near it, lol. The other ones are at least 30% cheaper as well.

That's not even counting the temptation I've had for Outlast, Typing of the Dead, etc. But the discounts aren't as deep for those ones, so I'm telling myself to hold out for the winter sale. Just not sure if they won't be on sale then since Halloween is more "season appropriate" for those kinds of games.

I think I've bought from Jakenome before (if so, it's on my feedback, can't check on my phone). No problems wIth him/her.

The penumbra series is good :)

Vampire masquerade isn't really scary. Just a vampire themed rpg game. also, Imo, it hasn't aged very well.

Typing of the dead is 8 on GMG too with the discount code that's floating around

No worries... I posted it and then edited it literally within a minute or two of posting, so it probably wasn't there. I'm hoping on now and will be on until work. There is literally a 6 minute gap between our two auctions. If I get a chance I'll send it before you even have to repost. Otherwise I'll wait to see you relist it.

I'd also be up for trading collections like was mentioned before... Right now I have all of my hometown Griffins. Most of the other AHL ones I only have 3-5 per team. I've started to just buy silver packs and build up the jersey, rare players, and other players from the AHL and some of the other leagues. I really wish they'd have more player pack promos like they did last year, but some that were just Bronze and Silvers to help build those collections.

 
I know they had a Silver Pack Promo about two weeks ago, though I think that's the only one.

I'd be up for swapping the Norfolk Admirals for the Griffins as well. I'll accept the trade once I get home, since the app doesn't let me do that.

I'd also be up for starting some sort of NHL collection collective.

 
After looking at some video of Dark Fall: Lost Souls I think that game would be great played on the Rift.

Isn't it all point and click? I looked at it, but from the gameplay vids on Youtube, it looked like there was no free movement. I think spooky adventure games would be great on it, but it seems like first-person free movement adventure games are kind of a newer thing. One game that comes to mind is Anna: Extended Edition. I haven't tried that one yet, but it would probably be scary as hell in the Rift.

I actually played a bit of DARK last night, and even though it has native Rift support, it's very odd because you still have a third person view of the character you control...but you can look around as though you're in first-person. It's almost like playing as some douche just following the guy around, lol. It's odd. But for a stealth game, I could almost see how it could work. It at least wasn't disorienting or nausea inducing...which is always a positive in any Rift game.

Yea the silver one wasn't too bad.. I bought 2 or 3 of those, and got a lot of the rare NHL and AHL players with it. Plus a few of the harder to find QMJHL players.

The swap sounds good to me. If we could find a time this weekend when we are both on to do it so that it doesn't take too long that'd be good. I use them a lot, so the faster we're able to swap the better.

As for the collection collective, I'll try to see if I can set something up tomorrow since I usually stay up all day after work to get back to a normal sleeping schedule for the weekend. I have a pretty good idea what to do since there is a really good HUT database on Google Docs that someone set up with the complete list for all teams. I figured I could just alter it to add in our names and we can go through and check off what players we have.

I'm not sure. The first video made it seem like it was first person and with free movement. Others made it seem like it was that and a mix of point and click. I want the thing for skyrim. I'm betting that would be fun on it.

Yeah, I don't have Skyrim on PC, but I've seen a lot of people on Youtube say it's pretty amazing in the Rift.

I should be around Saturday night for a swap. Only two I can't trade are Smith-Pelly and Bobkov, both were part of free packs.

 
Wow, that Halloween Hut Pack is amazing. First pack was a Hockey Fights Cancer Berglund, second was Hut Live Stamkos and third was a Patrick Kane. 

 
fuck you!!! I got a bunch of jerseys and the two best players I got were Falk on the Rangers and a D-man rated 82 overall. fuck that noise!

2nd that.. My highest players were two 82 OVRs, not even good enough to crack my lineup. I hate packs... But I love the gamble.
 
I did that for 13. Only way I could justify it was to use gift cards from bing and swagbucks to get 14 for free.
 
Anybody playing CAG Team Hockey tonight? I'm online now screwing around in Madden (for whatever reason, I've actually been enjoying online ranked games lately...surely, this will pass, lol).

Nope. Games are only carried on cable here...and not even all games (not that I have cable anyway). Plus, if I took the time to watch all of my favorite teams play, I'd never get anything else done. Watching the Titans game each week is about as good as I can do.

 
So after using the Toews HFC for a few games I decided I'd try to see how much I could get for him on the Auction house knowing that there was the promo pack for this weekend with 12 Gold all rare that I could use to build more depth.

I ended up getting a couple different trade offers for the card.  The first was very tempting since it was:

Lundqvist 91 OVR HFC

Suter 92 OVR

Duchene 87 OVR

Spezza 88 OVR

I ended up declining that one since I figured with the next offer I could buy each of those guys and then some, or gamble it all away.

The second guy offered me 470k Pucks and I think the card was a Gold 15 Game Duration Training.

Took this offer for the pucks and then bought 9 of the promo packs for 50k a piece.  Some of the highlights from those packs were:

Cammalerri is beast if you promote him to Captain. He scores non stop when I'm playing veterans cup tourneys. I might be interested in that Vinny.
 
If you want to list a couple guys for a day time period, I can start sending you a few in the AM when I get home from work... I have to clear up some space in my trade block, since I have a shitload of dupes sitting in there from those packs. I also checked and I think the only one that may have been a free card for that Griffins pack was the logo, but I'll double check when I get back on.

Yea he absolutely torches me when I play against him. Let me know about the Vinny, I know he is pretty cheap, but I don't even have him in my starting lineup now after all of the cards I got.

Also, has anyone noticed that the Hockey Fights Cancer cards are going for a lot cheaper than their actual non-special counterparts? For instance Howard is usually at least 50k pucks and 87 OVR for the standard. However, the HFC version is usually 33k-50k pucks and 88 OVR.

Alright for those of you that play HUT, I can't urge you enough to stay the fuck away from Hiller as your goalie.  I swear prior to the last tuner set I was 30 something and 10 in Season play.  Since then I am now 77-72-1x.  Whatever the last tuner set did, absolutely botched so many things.  I have guys take the D-men all the way to one side of the screen only to come flying back and just absolutely crush my guy regardless of whether I try a deke or not.  I see the other team go straight at 3 of my guys, getting poked like crazy, bumped, and nothing happens only to have them fire some limp dick wrister and it goes in every time.  Before the last tuner, I was getting about 35 shots a game and 4-5 goals and holding the opponent to 15 or fewer shots and either getting a shutout or allowing no more than 2 goals. Now I get the same amount of shots and hold them to less than 20 and I am lucky if I get one, while they get 3-4.  Deflections seemed to have gone down too.  I would usually get at least 1 out of every 2 games, now I'm lucky if I see one every 10 games.  fuck you EA

 
If I moss a weekend for my free packs for getting the game from Amazon and my ea season pass, do they just add to the next week or are they lost?

I agree. EASHL has been a mess since the patch/last tuner too. Way more stupid bounces causing goals than good plays. On top of the stupid rebounds, you're basically penalized for playing defense. The magnetic puck is really running rampant now. Block a shot, it goes right to the next guy, and your goalie is now out of position.

Position yourself perfectly in the passing lane...and the puck hits off your skates and goes into the net. This Is happening way too often now. I really hate this modern "advantage" of being able to constantly tinker with the game. It usually just makes the game worse and worse.
 
Nope, EA takes them and sells them for triple! Lol. Should stack. I have a Hut live Varalmov trained at 96 and Hotly trained at a 94 with 15 duraction and they both still let in one or two goals on Vet but good goals I miss on a hit.
 
Holy crap! Remember that class action lawsuit against EA that anybody could take part in if you've bought EA Sports games since 2005? I just got my check...$148.65!!! fuck YES!!!!!! DIE EA!!!!!! PAYBACK IS A BITCH!!!!!

lol...ok, had to get that out of my system. This is amazing though. I can't believe it worked, and I can't believe the court system actually gave me an opportunity to stick it back to EA for being such a huge piece of shit company. Mmmm...how's that pie taste, EA? Yeah...yeah...eat it, lol.
