We tried really fucking hard, but we just couldn't get picked up by OWN. It's a damn shame.

I totally checked, and Rob's last name is spelled "Emrich" unless there's some joke I'm not in on. But I always appreciate a Community reference.

On an unrelated note, do the side missions in Watch_Dogs ever run out? I keep doing them instead of the main story...and it seems like the Crimes and Fixer Contracts just continously appear. From a completionist standpoint, it just seems totally unfair, lol.

Not sure about the Fixer stuff, but random crimes appear endlessly. You have to stop 20 criminals to get the trophy but they keep coming. Great way to raise your reputation back up after you accidentally run over 4 pedestrians while being chased by a group of gang cars after blowing up the target in a criminal convoy.
 
Knock her up again. Either she's so grateful that you've given her another child that she allows you to make the purchase, or you wait patiently til she gets too pregnant to chase you down. The latter would allow you to get in on any Black Friday deals.

Yeah...it's a really odd predicament where you have to seriously assess what you value most. I still prefer the PS4 game library to the XB1's. But once I had to consider forgoing my Dance Central/Rock Band library...it just made that not matter anymore. Same goes with "gaming with friends". You have to ask yourself "Can the PS4 make me happy?"

What scares me is whether or not I'll be able to abstain from getting a PS4 entirely. I KNOW I don't have time for PC, XB1, and PS4 right now. It's just not necessary. But maybe...down the road, when it's much cheaper...maybe then I'll want to play Uncharted, or God of War, or The Show, or the next Quantic Dream game. I'll figure I'll either get to them eventually, or I'll just not care. Depends what you're playing video games for, I guess.

 
Yeah, for me the big thing is being able to play with friends, especially NHL with you guys. It's probably the game that gets the most multiplayer use from me, so it's kind of a big deal. Gonna think it over for a while. I can trade my PS4 in to GS and get $400 for it, which is enough for a new XBone, so it's not a matter of price.

Haven't gotten a chance to talk to him, lol. Planned on waiting til CAG hockey night, when I would have whacked him between the legs with a hockey stick, broken it across his back while he was doubled over in pain, and then ripped off my PS4 shirt to reveal an Xbox One shirt underneath it. Then Nate would have handed me the spray-paint, and you know how it goes from there. I was just saying that, while encouraging Rob to get an Xbox One, I wasn't trying to say it was better than the PS4.

Speaking of Xbox One/PS4: I have a Microsoft Lifechat headset that is pretty much specifically made for Skype. It's that one I got for use with my PC. It works spectacularly well with my PS4, and I can receive both chat and game audio. So, being a Skype-centric headset made by Microsoft, of course it doesn't work at all with Xbox One.

If the Gamestop thread is to be believed, a PS4 trades for $265. There's a 50% bonus for trading a systen towards an X1 or PS4. Presto, that's $397.50. Factor in the headset that comes with it getting $2.50, and it comes out to $400.

As long as GS is still doing the promo and the trade in value has held, that's 100% legit...as I saw many people do it, and I considered using it myself to obtain an XB1 for cheaper. I was going to try to grab a PS4 on Warehouse Deals in the $250-$275 range, and then trade in at GS for $400...thus making the Kinect XB1 $350-$375...but the prices on AWD went way up after E3.

Like I said, just depends what type of gaming you're wanting. Only having RBI Baseball on XB1 still bugs me. I really don't get why EA (as terrifying as the thought is) won't make an MLB game again.

 
I wouldn't really hit you in the nuts with a hockey stick, Rob. Not exactly my first choice for what I would do if I had a free shot at you from behind. ;)

Anyone know why that headset won't work with Xbox One? While I didn't have a problem with the Xbox 360 headset, the one that comes with the Xbox One is fucking horribly uncomfortable no matter how I adjust it.

Yeah, the baseball thing sucks, though I still have MLB Power Pros for the Wii. Hopefully we'll get someone to step up in that regard next year.

It was also noticed that it works with the PS3. For whatever reason, Microsoft seems to just really love proprietary shit with the Xbox (see also: they love money). Not sure if you got the Kinect XB1 or not...but they even changed the connector for Kinect 2.0 to some ridiculous looking plug so that people can't use it on their PC's like they did with the first one.

 
Nah, didn't bother with Kinect. I was a huge supporter of the first one, and while I enjoyed the games for it, I learner my lesson. I'll get one eventually when the right price comes along.
