Official Ratchet & Clank Future Thread

Love this game. Just finished it and am feeling pretty satisfied. Could have been a tad more difficult, but really this game was spot on on most of what it did.
How close am I
I just got reunited with Clank and went to the next planet that is being attacked
That's the last planet.

Finished the game the other day. Have some disappointments but overall it was enjoyable. It's also my first Ratchet & Clank game. Been wanting to play a game from the series for some time but never bought the earlier games.

Going through on on Challenge. I wish I had got the Wrench Ninja 3 Skill Point on the playthrough on normal difficulty though... It's going to be a total bitch to get it in Challenge I think.
Hey, in this game, do new weapons show up in the vendor at later levels or do you have to buy the one of the starter ones and then it adds more to the list (think that is how it worked in the last game)?
When I bought everything from him at a certain point in time new weapons would not appear for several planets. The same with armor, but you also need to buy the armor on there before new ones appear. Devices are also opened up once you hit a certain planet. It's easy enough to buy them all by the end of the game. More so if you save all Leviathan Souls to turn them in on Planet
Sargasso
where you get maximum returns for them.

Though in Challenge Mode, you can buy the 'OMEGA' versions once the weapon is V5 wether it's fully upgraded or not. Regardless, you should have most everything upgraded by the time you start challenge and if not, the amount of Raritanium you gain will help you max it out very quickly.

EDIT: Corrected the name of "Wrench Ninja 3" from the Skill Point Menu.
How do you get wrench skill points? And do they do anything?
I actually ment the "Wrench Ninja 3" under Skill Points the Extras in the menu. It's not anything relating to what you're probably thinking of. However, if you get 300 skill points, you can change the wrench into a cutlass/sword/club/something else I can't remember (I think there was another) from the Cheat menu. It's not anything special other than change the graphics of the omniwrench.

As for the Wrench Ninja 3, to get it you need to
use only the omniwrench to get through the level to the robo wings segment on the Stratus City level.

Beat it last night.

Only have 2 complaints.

1. It was too short and I wanted more (guess that's not really a complaint :p )

2.
fucking cliffhanger endings. I hate them sooo much.

Who knows, I completely agree with your 2nd complaint, can't wait to see the next game to see how it unfolds, I hated God of War II for the same reason.
jesus, you all beat it already? when was this game in stores? amazon still hasn't sent me my copy. :p
Game was available retail at places last wednesday.

I beat it last nite, but the fun part is going back through again with all the weapons and upgrading everything to the max.

I remember playing Going Commando and I beat it about 4 times and maxed all weapons and the bolt counter was maxed out.
Even the loading screens?
The loading screens are cool since it's the ship flying through space.

There's no screen that says "loading" at all, they're all hidden :p

I just got this (with trade in credit, so I had to wait for the second shipment) Only played the first level so far, but the controls seem tighter than the demo. Lock-strafe for the win.

The new commercial for the game. Saw this last night. Pretty good, though I was hoping for some more weapons-testing commercials.

The new launch special episode of the Full Moon Show is up now and will be one of the last episodes of this "season" before it starts back up early next year for the next Insomniac game.

Just started playin this, got it yesterday from gamefly, haveing lots of fun. I'm
at the part where you have to find the parts for the space ship.

Playing through again on Challenge mode to level up the weapons I have left along with getting the omega weapons and all that other stuff. The only weapons I have left to level up are the Buzz Blades, Tornado Launcher, Plasma Beasts, Pyro Blaster, and Razor Claws. I think the only one I probably won't be able to upgrade for the sake of the rest is the Tornado Launcher since it's kind of a pain to handle.

Surprised no one has posted this yet, from the playstation blog

The R&C stuff are a handful of bangles to customize your character with. I’ll post a link with more info shortly.
Oh, and the patch should be live in 15-20 minutes.

Info on how to get the R&C bangles in Resistance: Fall of Man can be found on the profile page of myresistance. Click on the My Unlockables link to get the code needed to unlock the goodies.
mywhitehouse - Sorry, there is no way to put Ratchet in his old armor.

The last Inside the Developers Studio video has Ted Price talking about the game, the series, and Insomniac as a whole.

I want this game so badly. I always play through Ratchet games at /least/ four times. Twice right away, then two runs on a new save a few years later.

Trying to hold out until I can get a Dual Shock 3, though.

you can play it twice now, then play it twice again when you get the DS3? lol
Just think it'll be awesome the first time around, but when you get your DS3 it'll be even more awesome. Instead of starting off at such a high level of awesome if you wait until the DS3 hits before playing it for the first time (although I don't think that's much of a problem for you lol)
I just picked it up last night...loved the demo
Change that to yesterday afternoon and my thoughts exactly. Haven't opened it yet though gotta couple games with loose strings to tie up first.

Picked this game up last night. Finally something besides sports games to play on the PS3. I played throught the first two levels so far and I love it. I've always been a fan of the R&C games.

I rented it the day it came out and beat it in three days (nights). It was pretty damn fun, considering I never bothered to finish the first R&C, and haven't played one since. I'll definitely be picking this up later on to play through challenge mode once it's cheaper, and I'll probably pick up UYA and GC for PS2 to see if they hold my interest better than the original did.
Is the slowdown from the demo fixed in the final version?
Yeah, pretty much. I'm several hours in and haven't encountered any slowdown or screen-tearing yet. Unless you hate action-platformers. it's impossible not to love this game.

definately enjoying this game thoroughly
It bugged me a bit that it had to install before the first play but there is minimal loads and its great fun :) so its excused this time

Love the comedy in the game. Don't want this game to end. When you beat the game, if you play through it a second time, does it have a bolt multiplier ala Ratchet & Clank Size Matters?

Clank- "What are stones? Do I have them?" :)

Yes
and you'll need the bolts for the pricey new omega versions of weapons that become available too

All previous weapons & upgrades stick around right?

yeah, the only things that go away are some of the gadgets like the gelanator that you get in story sequences during the game. but you keep your armor, weapons, upgrades, etc.

Ok cool, thanks!

Finished my first play through last night. Love the game play and the humor. This was the reason I bought a PS3. Can't wait for another R&C.

Anyone ever hear if they are planning any DLC for this game? Weapons or challenges or anything?
