Someone AJ drafted is a diamond. I REALLY like Eric Weddle. I was hoping Robert Meachem would drop to 30, but from what I've been reading, Buster Davis is going to be one of those gems that AJ finds. He didn't put up big stats, but supposedly Peyton Manning knows him and the Colts really wanted him.
? maybe im missing something, but davis went to the cards.
and yea, i think that guy is money. he went so low because hes a shorter guy, but hes all over the field. hes going to be a player.

Craig Davis' nickname is Buster.
You can easily do over 1200+ calories on one combo meal, I mean, depending on the meal. Think about it, one McMuffin combo, a quarter pounder combo, and maybe a big n tasy or some shit for dinner. That's not on purpose. He's eating what people always eat. No one goes to McDonalds for a salad and a glass of water.
I'd have to watch it again. From what I remember, he would FORCE himself to eat even when he was full. And from what I remember, he didn't just get single combo meals, he got a little more--and that was from every meal.

Plus, my girl goes to McDonalds (and other places) for just a salad and water. So don't assume that nobody goes to McDonalds and wants to eat light...
I love L&L's chicken katsu, but it does seem a little on the fatty side. Where is Da Kines? I've never heard of it. (I'm in La Mesa).
L&L is the best place for the usual fast food experience.

Da Kines is more of a sit down restaurant with a nice atmosphere, but the portions are way smaller for about the same price or more than L&L (which is why I don't there). I only tried the hamburger steak and chicken katsu, which looks and tastes pretty much the same everywhere else, but the macaroni salad is the only difference I saw from L&L and Da Kitchen. It's in Mira Mesa next to Target. Wider range of food to choose from.

Da Kitchen is in Scripps right off of Carrol Canyon Rd. on the 15. It's right next to Carls Jr. Their portions are similar to L&L but a slightly higher price. It is a nicer place to eat. There is a much wider range of food to choose from. Probably everybody's favorite restaurant when it comes to eating at a nicer sit down hawaiian place.
Craig Davis' nickname is Buster.
confusing since another players actual name is buster davis.

well see how our davis works out. if he can stretch the d and give another deep threat it should help safetys from automatically rolling over to gates.
which would be awesome, even though he made half those long plays doubled up.

im very excited for this season, it should be an interesting one.

The Pats are fucking dirty. I bet you they didn't even want to draft Merriweather, but because we were considering him, they took him instead. fuck the Pats, I hate them more and more.

Weddle will be a better player. I'm telling you, he's going to be a good one. I'm glad we got him. I was hoping Reggie Nelson would fall, but we still got a good safety.

Thanks man.

By the way, Morgan Spurlock can't possibly be a real man. I mean, I lost ALL respect for him when he threw up after eating that one combo meal. That was pathetic.

Dude seriously, when I've gone on my "no fast food at all" rampages and then 4 months later eat a big mac or something... I feel like dying. It's not a good feeling AT ALL. Maybe I'm alone on that, I don't know. Last time I went about 2 months without any fast food or just nasty ass foods in general, then I went out of town, went to Jack in the Box because it was close and the only thing open at midnight, bought a jumbo jack and two tacos... Puked it up in the hotel about 20 minutes later. From what I remember Spurlock was pretty much vegan because his wife was. Imagine going from salads and tofu to a Quarter Pounder in a day. I'm sure your stomach will hate you.

I always give in to shitty fast food though. It's good as fuck in a very sick way.

Yeah, I can understand that. To me, hamburgers are a necessary evil.

Although, I can't say that I have gone on a fast food diet for a very long time. But when I was a kid, trying hamburgers for the first time, I couldn't handle them. But now... it's a different story.

Anyone planning on attending San Diego Comic-Con 2007? I'm hoping to get some of those days off to go. I got to meet Snoop Dogg:whistle2:k last year (of all places), saw Samuel L. Jackson run by, walked past Rosario Dawson, and was able to snag a bunch of free stuff. But man did it stink in some areas.

Yeah, I'll probably go again. I really want to go on the the least populated day possible.

And halu, cool trainer card, is that your current party?
Yeah, I'll probably go again. I really want to go on the the least populated day possible.
Yeah it was packed on Fri/Sat. You had to literally push people to walk around the exhibit hall. The cool thing was that last year, there was a good amount of video game related stuff than there ever was. Hopefully it'll have even more.

Definitely. Nintendo had a cool stylish booth but I didn't get any swag. Got a memory stick though, even though I don't even have a PSP.

The least crowded days are probably Thursday and Sunday. Sunday is great for buying crap because you get some cool deals if you haggle enough. Vendors would rather sell off everything they have than have to schlep or ship it back home.

Friday and Saturday are always the busiest days since that's when the major celebs come to pimp their films. If you're 21 and up, I suggest hitting some of the bars & clubs in the Gaslamp at night because some of the celebs are known to hang out there after hours. I remember Elijah Wood was at the Yardhouse one year. Just don't go walking in with your giant Tokyopop bag.

What games do you guys think Ninty is going to demo this year? I remember you could play Twilight Princess for the Gamecube last year if you waited in line long enough. Maybe we'll see some Mario Galaxy action? Square will probably at least bring video of FFXIII and Sony should have some PS3 action happening. They might even have some Eye of Judgment going on since SDCC likes to hold all of those card tournaments.

As for the stank odor in the air... Uh, bring one of those car air fresheners that you hang on your rear view mirror and put it around your neck? It's like that Simpsons ep where Marge makes all of the kids wear flea collars because it's just easier that way. SDCC should really get Axe or Tag to be like a sponsor so they hand out trial sizes in the freebie bag when you get your pass. It gets really nasty down in the showroom. I swear, it smelled like vomit everywhere you went. I don't know how all of these hotel rooms get booked completely during the first few hours that registration is open for SDCC dates and yet, everyone still seems to smell like ass.

Saturday is going to be my busiest day. I'm probably going to spend most of the day in Ballroom 20 for the big TV/movie panels then there's Masquerade at night.

Do you know what celebs are going this year?
Do you know what celebs are going this year?
I haven't looked it up yet, but supposedly some cast members from the NBC show "Heroes" are going to be there.
...no? And I was sitting right here in this chair...
Most people probably wouldn't have even noticed. I know there have been a bunch of earthquakes that lasted for a few seconds that I never noticed.

HIROS! I just love that show. Maybe it was just me but Future Hiro looked like a douche.

Drumline ftw.

Just got back from the 7:00 showing of Spider-Man 3 at UltraStar Cinemas in Mission Valley (Hazard Center) and I must say the movie was fucking awesome!! If you can't find a place that isn't sold out go to UltraStar (they even use DLP technology!!). I bought my tickets yesterday in advance already but when I got there around 6 tickets weren't even sold out yet! Just a heads up for you guys that want to see it but can't get tickets to it.
That's a pretty good theater... might be a well-kept secret. I saw the last Harry potter there.
Don't they have matinee shows for 5 bucks there?
That's a pretty good theater... might be a well-kept secret. I saw the last Harry potter there.
I enjoy that theater as well. I saw Clerks 2 there on opening night, and again the following night as Kevin Smith did a Q&A afterwards.
Ultra Star is now my new to-go theatre for big movies :)
Wow, all this time I thought that theater was only showing older and indie movies.

I heard Spiderman 3 blows. What do you guys think?

i have no intention of watching it. i thought the first movie just plain sucked (bring on the flames!) and the bits that i saw of the second one kept me from viewing it in its entirety. my wife saw SM3 and seemed to enjoy it. my brother and a close friend have also seen it and they liked it as well.

for me, nothing beats the 1989 Batman.

all these huge CG effects nowadays can take a flying leap. i came to watch a live-action flick, not a cartoon! to my eyes, it looks as bad as all the cheesy green-screen stuff from the past.

Also, Mira Mesa Edwards just opened an IMAX theater.

And I just got back from watching the De La Hoya-Mayweather fight. It was fucking gay.

I watched Spiderman 3 after the fight. It was ok. Seemed to drag at the end though. I haven't watched the first two, so I don't know how those movies were like.

Spider-Man 3 in fact does not blow. It's a really good movie if you're a fan of Spider-Man alone. But let me warn you that the movie does have some parts in it that will make you go "WTF?" but all in all it's a great movie.

BTW, anyone see any copies of THP8 for PS3 at any Costcos? Preferably the Mission Valley or Morena one?

I thought Spider-Man 3 was hilarious, but I was dissapointed as it ended... I still like the first movie out of the three... I was thinking about taking my daughter to watch it but seems like she might get freaked out at some parts...

If anyone is going to watch it(and hasn't yet) I suggest catching it in IMAX at Edward's in Mira Mesa...

I went to minicamp today. It was packed. And it was hot as hell.

Can't give much analysis since I ran into a lot of people I haven't seen in a while.

Merriman, EP, and Turner didn't practice.

Weddle looked pretty good out there. Broke up some passes.

Kaeding was nailing all of his field goals. I don't know if he attempted one farther than 40 though.

VJ and Malcolm Floyd looked great.

I also asked about tickets. I don't know if the guy was bull****ting or not, but he said that there won't be any 3 game packs this season. Also said that there might not be any single tickets and if there are any, it'll be $75-$100.

well i had some stuff stolen last night among it was a case of a bunch of psp games.

The 1989 Batman was great. Jack Nicholson is just so awesome in that one. Batman Begins was pretty good, but not quite up to par with the original. I am anxious for the next one to come out.

As far as super hero movies go, I'm not too hard to please. Yeah, Catwoman was unbelievably bad, and Fantastic 4 didn't do it for me, but I've enjoyed the first two Spidermen so far.

Spiderman 3 tried to cram like 6 different stories into one. That was the only downside. All the stories seemed incomplete. They tried covering all these stories in to two hours...

The Harry vs. Peter thing
Sandman
Eddie Brock/Venom
MJ and Peter
Gwen and Peter
Spidey and Symbiote

They didn't explain where the symbiote came from and only kind of said what it was. The Eddie Brock and Sandman stuff was completely out of nowhere as far as Sandman's back story and Eddie vs Peter at the Bugle. Like, What disease did Sandman's daughter have? Sure he needed money but if she had AIDS (just being a dick) or some shit then that money aint gonna help.

Spidey had the symbiote suit for like what... Ten minutes of the entire movie?

It just felt like there were way too many holes.

A terrible draft year for SD. They need a replacement LB for Donnie Edwards and still havent address the void in the WR department. D. Jarrett would have been a better fit.

And the Chargers addressed everything they needed, except some OL/DL depth.

you just gave away a bunch of the movie, THANKS!

just kidding.

Just a small heads up.

For those are looking for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS2, Mira Mesa EB Games got a copy on the floor as of last night. The disk is clean. :)

alright sd cags, i need some help.
im looking for a place to have sunday brunch on the 13th.
Humphrey's at $32 is my $ limit.
im leaning towards karl strauss, its $10 less, which leaves more money to buy the good beer. and ive had good luck with food at brewerys.
anyhow, does anybody have any experience at sd brunch spots?

$32 a person? $32 total? And what's it for?

It's usually a buffet brunch.

I was actually thinking about Sunday brunch myself with my family and I came across this site a while ago:

SD Sunday Brunch Master

A lot of the places will have champagne flowing, FREE! You just have to check around.
