Official San Diego Area CAG List

when i saw the new uniforms on the front page of the newspaper a couple days back, i think they look nice and all but like what Ma12kez said, it really doesn't seem necessary.

oh yeah and those alternates, they better be some kind of early april fools joke because they are fucking hideous
Anyone in San Diego want a shit load of free strategy guides? Only 2 Conditions. 1) Must be willing to drive down to Bonita/Eastlake Area to pick them up. 2) Must be willing to take all of them.
so tempted...!!! and i live very nearby. damn. i'm gonna resist, as i've got about the same amount of unwanted guides here as well. the packrat in me just wants free crap.

nice gesture though, moogle. i'm sure someone here will nab them.
FFMooglestar, are there Tekken 5 guides in there? If there are, I'll take the whole lot off your hands. :)
Sorry MarkMan, no Tekken 5's in the bunch. As far as fighting games go, there are a few Mortal Kombat: Deception's and a good deal of Dead or Alive: Ultimate's. C'mon, you know you want em!

Where do you guys generally buy your recordable DVD's. Fry's, Wal-Mart, Best Buy? I don't want to go looking all around S.D. just for a good deal.

i tend to buy them from local places when a "slammin' deal" shows up. i'll buy more than i need and then just stock-pile them so i don't have to pay full price later in a pinch.

CC, BB, Office Depot and Staples are my usual sources for DVDr discs.

Saw this on Kotaku, is anyone going?
Saw this on Kotaku, is anyone going?
I'm going! Of course, I'm one of the organizers so... If you have any questions to ask the panelists, please let me know. I'll add your inquiries to the selection queue. If you'd like to be credited for your question(s), also let me know.

I'll be there...

I have a question as well...

"What are your feelings on the fighting game genre and your thoughts on some of the biggest players... Sega and Namco, not bringing their flagship franchises Virtua Fighter 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection online?"

Please credit the question to SD TEKKEN.

Thank you.

Has anyone tried the new angus burger at McDonalds? I heard it was being tested out in San Diego, so it isn't nationwide yet. Is it good? How does it compare to the ones at Carls Jr. and Burger King?

I'm hungry right now, not sure what I want for dinner. Just drinking for now.

I registered for the conferance after school today. I just don't know if I'll be able to make it. Just thought I'd stick my name in there though.

I've had all three of the Angus burgers. They're pretty solid. I'd definitely say they are better than BK and Jack's comparable versions. I haven't had a $6 burger in a while so I can't say if it's better than Carl's. However, they suffer from having too much pepper/salt. (Like Jack's and Carl's). It's a nice change of pace for McD's, but I'd still rather have a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder.

I had the bacon version today and thought it was terrible. I couldnt figure out why they even sold it.
the patty was dry and the texture wasnt right.
it was overly salty, (moreso than their norm) the bun was good though.
I will never buy one again.

I almost got one today but I realized I could do without the 900 calories that comes along with it.

i didn't want McD's, but my brother and friend wanted to use the coupons they had for them, so we went. we each orderd the Bacon n' Cheese burger and they each came with free medium fries and drink. of course McD's forgot one of the fries (like almost always).

the burger was okay, but really not worth 4 bucks. hindsight being 20-20, i'd've rather had a Six Dollar Burger over this thing. the rest of the country ain't missin' much.

In the end, I'd rather just have a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese. Maybe if they would put two Quarter Pounder patties in the Angus bun w/ the nice tomato, lettuce and onion...
does anyone know a store that lets you return opened computer games?
Yeah, right. Maybe Costco? I remember the good ol' days when EB would let you return an opened game w/i a week. That was unbelievably sweet. I can't blame them for changing that policy though.
does the costco in carmel mountain ranch or poway have TES IV: Oblivion?
you have a membership to Costco, right? ('cause you'll need one)

try using the phone, its crazy but it works =)

so completely off topic, but does anybody have one of those crappy metal bed frames for a twin theyd be willing to hook me up with?

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have spotted any GGCs in our local BBs lately. I used one of my last ones to pick up KH2, and couldn't find any in the El Cajon or Chula Vista BBs. Let me know if you guys come across some, or if they restock.

i used to get them from the CV store as well, and i haven't seen them for a few months now. unless they're restocking when i'm not around, it would seem as if they've dropped the GGC again.
for some reason, of the big 3 sports in the US (baseball, basketball, football), baseball is the only one i can stand to watch.
Recently baseball moved its way up to #2. I quit watching it completely when they went on strike in 1994, and didn't even so much as watch a game on TV for almost 11 years. Went to a Padres game in August 2005 to finally end my boycott. Pads lost 5-3 (or was it 5-2?) to the Colorado Rockies.

That was also the first MLB game I ever saw live in a stadium.

Football has always been #1 in my book. :)

Football is my sport, but I'm a huge, huge sports fan. For the past few years, I lost interest in basketball and slightly lost interest in baseball (except for the playoffs where we've been murdered for the past two years by the cardnials), but this year I've gotten back into basketball and baseball and I'm trying to watch games when I can.

I'm actually going to the Lakers game this Sunday when they play the Suns. Good game.

I'm also checking baseball tickets on eBay constantly to see when I can get a good deal and I'll be going to a few of the 2 for 1 Thursdays.

As for today's game, the Padres are 2-0 to start the season. Doing great so far, but there are still 160 games left.

I could never really get down with football or baseball. I'm a soccer fan, myself. Liverpool, woo!

i guess i should elaborate (or maybe i'd better not, since you guys are huge sportsfans). while i really don't care for any sports, baseball is merely okay.

i'll play a few of 'em, but i watching them is hard.

well I'd figure that since san diego is a military town, there is probably many here that can or knows someone who has access to purchase stuff at the exchange.

I just got a sales flier in the mail from the MCX advertising a premium xbox 360 at $299. So me and my pops went down to the miramar exchange to pick one up but the sales associate pointed at the date of April 11-22, foolish of us not to notice the date haha. But anyway, seems like a great deal for a premium and of course no tax!

and on a side note, miramar has two PS3s in stock, each bundled with free HDMI cords

I lurve the exchange (when I do choose to go there, of course). I picked up a 2GB nano and the nike+ sport kit for $160. I'm going to have to go there more often because my ID is going to expire soon (when I turn 23).

BTW, the new Comissary on 32nd is going to open on 4/20. Man, I remember when they first opened up the current one years ago and now they've already built a new one and opening that.

A premium 360 for $299 is the best deal I've ever seen for a 360.

I used to go on base at Miramar a lot in the past. Buying gas, buying cigarettes, buying groceries, buying stuff at the exchange. What a luxury.

Too bad everybody who had ID is over 23 now so I can't get on anymore, and everyone that joined the military got stationed somewhere else. Hard for me to go now.
if any of you want to buy the 360's at miramar pm me, ill take you on base.
You think they will have the Elite ones?

Bought GH2 for $79.99 at Mission Valley's Costco. If you loved the first one, you'll love the 2nd one even more. Very addicting game :)

Oh yeah, I also saw a lot of DS bundles there for $170. Any color :)
