Official San Diego Area CAG List

Hey guys, I'm finally back after that horrendous defeat the Chargers had to face on Sunday. I was so fucking mad! fuck New England, fuck Indy, go Saints or Bears!
TRU in National City had all of the Wii accessories in stock on Saturday.
Too bad National City's sales tax is like 1% higher than elsewhere in the county.

doesn't bother me, but if you just can't stand the thought, i suppose you could skip 'em.

Does anybody think I will have a problem using the $40 off $199 CC coupon at Best Buy? I'm going to try and get the 360 with the free Madden 07 on Friday.

I know that Wal-Mart and CC do, but I've never had luck trying it at BB. Worth a shot anyway though, let us know how it goes!

If any CAGs in SD are interested.... Chula Vista Best Buy has a few 60GB PS3s in stock... I'm sure they are available all over SD though lol.

Which Best Buy(s)?

Hey that's where I found my 360 last January. I'll never forget it. I sped down there from La Mesa. There were 2 left when I got there. As I was buying it, multiple people came in looking for one, but they were too late.

I didn't get to use the $40 off $199 at Best Buy, but I was so damn close.

I bought:

-360 Premium ($399.99 value)
-Free Madden 07 game ($50 value)
-Free Madden 07 guide ($10 value)
-Gears of War (usually $60 value)
-Free coupon book ($90 savings value)
-Free 8 issues for a magazine subscription (my girl chose some entertainment magazine and she said a year sub is $75)

They took the BB Rewards Zone 12% off coupon (They weren't supposed to because videogame hardware is excluded) and the cashier was ABOUT to apply the $40 off $199, but the farking cashier next to her said that they don't use Circuit City coupons because they "aren't Circuit City" (which wasn't the point--she said they accept competitor coupons). I was able to use the $10 off a $49.99 videogame coupon on Gears of War to drop it to $39.99.

So I walked out of the store and spent $422.36. Total retail would have been at around $560, so I saved about $140--and that doesn't include how much I saved on the free magazine subscription. This is one of the best deals I've came across.

Next week I'm going to buy the 360 HD-DVD player.

If anybody spots any Wii's left can you let me know? Would prefer it if it was at CC too :)

Oh by the way, fuck New England! I don't want them in another Super Bowl.

Anybody know a cheap place to rent a snowboard and boots?

And a cheap cabin under $100-$150 in the Big Bear area if you know of one.

I'm trying to setup a trip for next weekend.. my aunt got a cabin from this past weekend (Jan. 20-22) for just $80, but I can't get that cabin for next week.

Just got back today from snowboarding.. good times.
Any spotted Wii's lately guys?
I picked one up on Wednesday night for 249.99+tax at the Grossmount Center (La Mesa) Target. There were 3 left.
Yesterday I picked up a Wii-mote and Nunchuck at the Target on Balboa Ave.

I've been using: http://crayz.org/target_wii.php?zip=92122&asin=B0009VXBAQ

looks like they've got some in, i'd call every store before you head out though.

I still haven't seen any Wii's anywhere. However, I saw my first PS3 at Grossmont Target last night. Does anyone know if you can get a 10% discount on it if you sign up for a Target credit card? Do they even had a deal like that?

Yeah I do believe that Target still offers the discount if you sign up and get accepted for the card.

Hey guys, I'm about to return the X360 HD-DVD drive (still sealed) I picked at CC with the $40 off coupon. I came to the conclusion that I don't need it just yet, so if anyone in the 619 area is interested let me know soon. I'll let it go for a flat $175.
Still looking for an LCD HDTV if anybody spots any good deals feel free to let me know :)
This may not be what you're looking for, but this this Samsung DLP HDTV is awesome all around, especially for the price. $899.99 for a 42" DLP HDTV is great, especially if you can get their advertised "10% off TVs" offer stacked on top of that to cut it down to $809.99. You should be able to get them to honor their online price since it's available for in-store pick up.

I know it's not an LCD, but Costco.com has a sweet 1080p 67" Samsung DLP w/ a stand for $2399 after coupons. I totally don't need another t.v., but it's tempting...

Any tips on getting a discount on a PS3 in SD? I'm going to try the Target 10% off w/ a new Target card and see if that works. I tried to trade in my PS2 to 2 different EB's tonight, but they were out of PS3's. EB's extended warranty ($70 for only 1 year) seemed pretty stiff. It almost ruins the whole point of trading in the PS2 for $100...

Man, those are some expensive TV's lol. I was looking for something around $500-$700 not 1 g lol. But anyways, I spotted a copy of Syphon Filter for PSP for $25 at CompUSA in Kearny Mesa, not sure how cheap that is but I remember I payed $40 for it 2 months after release.

I just waited until Black Friday last year and I swooped up that 32" HDTV from Home Depot. I applied for the credit card so I got 10% off. It came out to like $469 after taxes I believe. It's not top of the line but for me, who doesn't have two grand to spend on a TV, it's perfect. It has an HDMI input and 720i/p and 1080i.

Anyone interested in picking up Gunpey DS, I just grabbed it at the Eastlake Target for $8.06 after tax. I think they had like 5 copies left, and they were inside the glass case still with a $29.99 sticker by it.

I'm now the proud owner of a PS3. I can't believe Sony couldn't figure out a way to put vibration in the new controller. Shame on them! Other than that, I can't complain...except for the fact that Resistance is the only good game out there right now...

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection = PS3 game of the year 2006 lol.

Hey guys, this is sort of a random question but I'm currently looking into subscribing to one of the video game rental websites (Gamefly, Gameznflix, etc.). I haven't tried any myself yet, and I was wondering if any of you in the SD area has had any experience with any of them. Any insight would be great. Thanks in advance.

I haven't personally, but I have a friend in SD who used Gamefly. He was pretty satisfied, but had to cut it off when his job took too much of his time.

My sister and her husband have a gamefly subscription, too, had it for ~2 years. Never had a problem. They're not in SD, and they're not quick with game turnarounds, though, so I don't know if their speed would suit you.

I use both as of right now. I've been signed up for gamefly for about year now and is it an amazing service. They always have new releases right away and if you keep them in your queue they will send it right away. Turn around time can be weird sometimes. Ive sent games that take a day to get to them and then another day for me to get one from my queue but I've waited as long as 2 weeks for them to recieve one of my games. It's kind of strange but most of the time the turn around is fast. They also have this thing where once you're game is checked in by the post office, they will send you you're next game before the game you sent them even reaches their wherehouse which increases turn around time by A LOT. The customer service is spot on and very helpful. The only down side to the service is the price point. While still cheap for a no late fee rental service... gamznflix is still wayyyyy cheaper.

gameznflix feel very cheap and from what I hear the customer service sucks ass. i havn't had to deal with that yet. The site is kind of annoying to navigate and new releases may take up to two weeks to be in stock. Significantly cheaper but i guess you pay for what you get. I think I'm just going to stick with gamefly. I just gave gameznflix shot. Its cool but i don't mind paying a bit extra for the quality that gamefly puts into their work.

Customer service plays a big factor in any business, but it's just that the price difference between the two sites can't go unnoticed. But thanks for the insights though guys.

As for Gamefly, do they charge tax and do they charge you at the beginning of the month or at the end?

They charge you the day you sign up and then that same date every month and yes they charge tax.

i used Gamefly for about 6-8 months, and the service was okay. i just decided that the turnaround time wasn't worth the price, which i thought was fairly steep. i've now been using Gameznflix since the "big" thread, and i'm very impressed. the website layout and navigation is just left of horrible, but their selection is decent, and i've rented about 6 games so far (3 at a time), and the speed's been excellent; certainly faster than Gamefly. i only slightly miss the lack of GBA and DS rentals, but since i buy most portable games that i want anyway (since they're usually cheaper than console titles), it's not that bad. personally, i think that for the price, Gameznflix is fantastic. even if they ship half the speed of GF, which would be hard since GF was often quite slow, i'm still getting 3 games for a little over half the price of the 2-game plan at GF.

the way i see it, the price quite literally cannot be beat, and if they suck, just dump 'em! that's my plan, anyway. good luck in whatever you choose.

If anybody cares, I saw the that miniature sword / shield replica for Twilight Princess on clearance at Target for $10 the other day.

Game Crazy News: Aero Drive (aka Murphy Canyon Road) and National City are the only two Game Crazy stores selling New GBA games in SD. So if you're looking for all the 9.99 new GBA games, hit those stores up. They should both be getting big transfers in as well... soon.

What Target was it at?
His previous avatar was much hotter.

Now: Anyone know if most of the BKs in town are still selling their 360 games? I was at the Clairemont Mesa BK (by the 163) this morning, and all they had was Big Bumpin'... anyone know for sure where the other two games are?
I have a thing for Latin girls :)
Guess Marty's done with the Chargers :(
Yeah it was bad enough we lost Cameron and Phillips. Losing Marty just makes it worse.:bomb:

You guys ever been at www.yelp.com? They have reviews for different places. I only looked at restaurants so I don't know what else they have.

I was looking at reviews of Chinese restaurants (already decided on going to Mandarin Garden in Mira Mesa for Valentines day--my family's been going there for the past 13 years) and I stumbled upon all the Mexican restaurants.

If you're bored, check out the reviews at your favorite restaurants and there is a lot of good info here if you want to try out new spots.
