Official San Diego Area CAG List
Too bad National City's sales tax is like 1% higher than elsewhere in the county.
Hi all. I was wondering whats the sales tax now? Havent been home in a while so is it over 7.75% now? or does the rest of the county have a lower tax?

Just a heads up. As of about 7:00PM on 2/20/07 The Eastlake Target had 7-9 Wii's in stock (And 2 60GB PS3's but its harder to find a place that doesn't have PS3's). If you've been looking for one, I suggest you go now!

picked up Crackdown from the National City Circuit City. they had plenty of copies in stock as of 2:00pm today, as well as Halo faceplates (free w/purchase), if anyone is interested. it's a great (albeit shallow) game.
Yup. 18 gamers there this morning at opening. see my post here:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2701423&postcount=75
I was there at opening too. Didn't recognize you, I know I sold you Disgaea 2 a while back.

I saw a copy of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for the Xbox, but decided not to buy it. Also saw a copy of Killer 7 (with a $1.99 price label on the shelf), but didn't want it. Didn't end up getting anything.

Mission Valley BB was a complete bust. I saw about 3 FW guys with big-assed lists, most of them walked out with 1-2 games each. We were there at opening. Not even a bin in an aisle somewhere. Hell, nothing stashed in the washing machines. Nothing from my small 7-game list.

Didn't recognize you either, but then again, I've never been great with faces. Thanks for leaving the Killer 7, btw. I picked it up (one of the few games I really wanted). I definitely remember the Disgaea 2 sale though. Speaking of which, I never heard back about Disgaea 1, so I assume you found it?

As for other San Diego stores, this is what I've gathered from various threads/people.

El Cajon- cleaned out days ago
Santee- cleaned out days ago
Mission Valley- cleaned out this morning
Mira Mesa- Might be a couple random games left, but doubt it.
Chula Vista- total wash (thanks dios)
Escondido- ??
Carlsbad/Oceanside- ??
Temecula- ?? (probably the best chance at getting anything if my past experiences are any indication)

Was at the chula vista one by c street an hour before it opened, got in, not a single game, what a waste of time. argh/

How disappointing. Thanks for the status report though.

did anyone go to the compusa by convoy to see if theres any 20% off 360's or ps3s? im too lazy to go maybe someone else from SD did.
I saw some ds lites at the mission valley best buy if anyone wants i was there on that terrible "sale" at BB.

I went to CUSA today, didn't see PS3 stuff. Though to be honest, I wasn't looking. They had no gamecube stuff at all -- XBox 360s, and 360/XBox/PS2/Wii software.

Their stuff's still pricey at 10-20% off. I'm gonna hang on a bit longer.

Stopped by there yesterday just to check out what they had. I didn't see any PS3's or 360's (they still had the demo 360 though, so maybe they've got 360's in the back??) and all the games for the different systems were $30+ and then 10% off. Not exactly a deal. Hell of a lot of people though.
Heading to Fry's for GRAW2. Think it's 34.99 here in SD too?
Fry's won't have it until Noon tomorrow (3/8). At least that's what the ad states.

BTW, the C-Bad/Oside BB had practically nothing for the $2 sale. Maybe like, 5-6 crappy games.

Oh, and if you are in the area of that BB, go to Los Tacos.

They have some really fucking good mexican food.

Just picked up GRAW 2 at the Chula Vista (Highland) BB for $37.90 after taxes. I just printed out the ad and gave it to the cashier. They had about 4-5 copies left as of 2:30 PM if anyone is interested.

I did that but at Circuit City earlier. Haven't played it yet. I hope it's good. I'm not too big of a GR fan but I couldn't pass the 35 dollar deal.

I knew I saw you online :p But anyways, I had the real ad in hand and just brought it over to the Mission Valley BB about 7:30 and they still had racks and racks of GRAW2 so if Fry's is out tomorrow or BB is out head on over to Mission Valley's BB. The game is mucho excellente!

You guys are amazing. There are so many games out right now already. Between the three systems, I'm swamped. I'm slowly playing through Resistance, Crackdown and a Greatest Hits version of RE4 for the PS2. I need to get SSX for the Wii and God of War 2 for the PS2 in the next couple of weeks. As much as I'd love to get GRAW 2 for $35.00, I've just got to draw the line somewhere. I still never finished Rainbow Six: Vegas or Gears...and I'm having to share the PS3 and TV w/ my wife who is playing through FF12...oh yeah, I need to get back to Prey (I found the sweet limited edition at CompUSA for $30) and my $10 copy of Ridge Racer 6...

Went to Fry's on Aero Dr. today at about 1:00PM to pick up GRAW2 with a giftcard, and they were sold out. I got a Rain Check, so it's not a total loss. Oh well time for more MLB2k7.

Should've done what me and Mar12ez did, bring the ad or print out to BB and PM it there :)

Anyway, I'll be on GRAW 2 late tonight 11PM-??. So if you want to co-op or something let me know.

Bingo! With my gift card, I'd only have to spend about $16.15 out of my pockets.
Any news at the Kearny CompUSA? Is it still 10% off?
I checked the place out yesterday. If I remember correctly games were still 10% off. Only thing I noticed that was marked down more than that were cables which were marked down 30% so if you need any cables you might find a good deal.

Alright, sounds good. Chances are I'll be glued to the single player or so, I'm trying to beat it first before jumping online because usually if I jump right into online I won't play the single player (*cough*R6:V*cough*)

I stopped by the Grossmont CompUSA today. Games and accessories are still only 10% off. There were a few manager's specials for some 360 games, but they weren't really all that great -- just a couple of bucks off a few older titles. I'm going to wait to make any purchases until 30% off. Anyone know when the next round of discounts will occur?

eh... not much of a change. The bolt on the shoulder is gay. I like the helmet and pants. Nothing else really noticeable. I'm not sure whether I like the powder blue being an official uniform color now as opposed to a throwback color. I like it for nostalgic reasons and yet I think it's an ugly ass color on a bunch of guys.
