Since the Southern CA Thread is up, I figured it might be a good idea to post a thread for the locals of the Bay Area. Maybe we can do some face-to-face trades, make posts of inventory in various local stores, post any local sales, etc.

Send me a PM and I will put your name on the list below (PM's are easier for me to keep track of everyone). I will send you a confirmation when I put your name on the list.:
Where exactly is this being held in SF?
Its a club event, don't know much other than that. I put my hat into the "contest" hope I get invited. Sounds like a lot of fun. Especially if its anything like the Street Fighter club party.
depends on if the gf wants to go into the city or not. That place is a hole to drive in and out.
Lol. Awesome. Tell all your friends.

How was the Street Fighter club party? I also entered the "contest", but really have no idea what I'm getting myself into besides playing those 2 games.

It's 312am and I was reading up on the Rockband 2 Bundle on sale at TRU. Was wondering if other CAGs can update on the stock. I know that Sunnyvale is sold out (as reported by Bzchanboy). I find it pretty insane that someone got theirs for $32!!!!! :hot::hot::hot:

I plan on going out right now, I woke up pretty late. But I plan on PMing at Best Buy, Walmart, or Fry's. Wish me luck and I'll updated you on whether I'm successful or not.

Sorry about the late response. PM to Fry's was unsuccessful, but Best Buy did the PM without the gift card. I was a little sneaky on my part though, went to the customer service and said if they would PM the ad. The guy agreed and said to grab the game and to bring it back to him to do it. I couldn't find it so I asked a guy in the video game section for it and I explained that I needed it to get PMed and he said that all the Toys R Us were sold out so they weren't allowing anymore PMs...but the games were up at the front. I went to the front and brought it back to the guy to see if they'll do the PM. He brought over his manager and they did it without hesitation. It was $120 after tax or ($119.XX).

Fry's at Brokaw = Unsuccessful
Best Buy at McCarthy Ranch = Successful

Good stuff Koji.

I was thinking about getting the :360: version but I know this ad is going throughout the week. Someone getting the bundle for $32 is just plain insane!

--Michael

Wow...that's pretty insane. Maybe I should try going in and saying if they could do add in the adjustment first for me. I would have grabbed a few more for family members and friends if I could get it for that price.

Are any local CAGs still trying to get one? If you are, you should probably list which console you're trying to find one for and maybe if you're lucky, a local CAG will pick one up for you if they come across one or report back stock info.

I'm looking for a PS3 version of Rock Band 2. As of this morning, the Sunnyvale TRU is still oos. The Winchester TRU's phones aren't working for some reason, and the TRU at blossom hill is also oos. I tried price matching it at the Best Buy next to the Sunnyvale TRU twice but they said they couldn't. The first time they said TRU must have it in stock, the second time they told me TRU got a rebate from Harmonix to sell it for that super low price (which I think is a lie). I'll try my luck at Best Buy by Santana Row later.

Post your updates here too!

I'll be checking the San Mateo and Redwood City TRU's in a couple hours. I'll get back at you guys later tonight if they have any more in-stock. I'll make sure to ask how many they have left for each console.

EDIT: San Mateo and Redwood City are sold out.

Moving onto a temporary more up beat topic. Who's going to the Bionic Commando & RE5 party? I didn't receive a reply, so I guess I'm not going.

Oh and Guitar Center is apparently price matching this? If you're willing to take a trip down to Steven's Creek, you can probably score one.

Alright just got back from Walmart at Story Road, SJ. I was able to price match without the gift card with no problems (just be sure to bring the flyer!)

When I left at 6:44pm, there was still 1 PS3 version and 5 xbox 360 versions of Rock Band 2. Good Luck!

Forgot to send my info for the Capcom thing. #-oOh well. If this weather keeps up, they'd have to be giving out copies of each game to get me to drive up there.
anyone see any wii fits in san jose?
I'll keep an eye for you when I go to the GameCrazy on McKee. In my opinion, those smaller stores are the best places since not that many people scout them.

I was at GameCrazy on Wednesday. I saw that they had a bunch of Wii's, so I'm guessing they should also have the Wii Fit.

Just got back from Blockbuster at Washington Square in San Leandro. They had about 8 copies of GTA IV for $14.99 in the original box. I got that and Condemned 2 in the 2 for 1 deal.

Did you see any good PS3 games for cheap there? ;)

I go to college in SoCal, but I'm from South San Francisco and I live here during the breaks. I mostly frequent San Bruno/Daly City areas for shopping (and the majority of my Gaming deals, of course).

ING COLD. :cold::cold::cold: I'm wearing like three sweatshirts.

Hi guys. I was getting a burrito earlier and it reminded me that this place has been pretty quiet lately. So nobody got anything incredible for Christmas? Any ridiculous New Year's plans?

I've got to do an early airport run, plus I've been keeping pretty late hours the last few days so I'm looking forward to being up a while.
Well, I got a Triple, and I'm moving to Sacramento this weekend, but other than that, nothing in terms of deals for me. Anybody else?
Aww, weren't you the DC CC greeter? Who gonna greet us between now and when the liquidators take over? :(
Aww, weren't you the DC CC greeter? Who gonna greet us between now and when the liquidators take over? :(
Obviously not me. It's gotten to the point where I can't even stand...well, standing there, anymore. My coworkers I'll miss. The enviroment? Not so much. It's both awesome and lame that my last day happens to be the 31st, since it's New Year's Eve, and I also have nothing planned. Yay...?

It is freezing! :cold:
Gosh, it's gonna be like one of those nights where I'm gonna have to break out like 3 comforter blankets just to stay warm. ;)

I didn't get anything too crazy for Christmas, just a hoodie, some cool weird shoes, and Midnight Club: LA. :)

For New Year's, my folks are going to invite lots of family and friends, make and eat Pozole, and just getting drunk in general... Except, I'm not really much of a drinker, so I'm going to spend New Year's around a bunch of drunks. Good times.

I just got home from the gym. Heat is on and shirt is off  I just can't sleep in a shirt, got too used to it over all those hot summers. Call me crazy, I generally run on the hot side though.

Christmas was alright, haven't exchanged gifts with friends really yet. I'm more of a giver and get small things in return but thats all good. Still haven't figured out what to do for NYE. All I know is I'm going to sleep in and probably end up throwing together a house party. Its insanely foggy right now btw.

Dude! Being sober around drunk people is the worst. Not sure if I'm going to some New Year's party yet because that's how I expect it to go.

I think this year I'm finally joining a gym. Then we can have a no-shirt-off.

what

Just saw this thread pop up on the front page and remembered that I used to be a Bay Area CAG. Well, I'm not now! Xevious, please remove me at your convenience.

Enjoy the fog, suckers! ;)

I'll be getting my personal trainer certification this year. I'm also in the process of becoming a firefighter. So if you want to be trained by a official hunk of the month contender, give me ring. (we can train shirtless)

I'm going to go ahead and declare this the best post of 2009.

I'll take the Fog, you can keep the snow (former Vancouver, Wa resident)

I'm planning on using gamepawn to sell my older video games... Do you guys have any suggestions besides gamepawn.com, secondspin.com, and spun.com?

I know there's a for sale/trade section, but I would rather deal in person if I'm not going to a legit site. PM me if u are interested in seeing what I'm selling. I got about 36 games spread across PS2, GC, and mostly Xbox. I do have one of them limited edition MGS3: Subsistence in that red box if anyone is interested...it is opened though. I bought it on a whim when my buddy at GameCrazy said someone didn't pick up their copy.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! :D

Still can't sleep... The people at my house are sooo drunk, it's not even funny... Well, maybe a little.
But it's starting to smell like vomit for some odd reason... It isn't pleasant. :puke:

I was just at the Sunnyvale Golfland and they've gotten some cool stuff since the last time I was there (which was a while ago, sadly). They have Tekken 6 (regular), DJMAX Technika, and BlazBlue. BB didn't look like the type of fighter I'm into, but I need to go back sometime when it's less crowded and try out Technika. Also I need to brush up on my Tekken skills... I was watching some guy obliterate the CPU (and some poor guy) with Paul and figured it would just be a waste of my money.

Happy (late) New Year's! I spent my NY watching that Looney Tunes marathon on Cartoon Network. Man, those were the days...

"Wabbit Season!"
Did you see any good PS3 games for cheap there? ;)
I didn't even check for PS3 but there is a Blockbuster by southland mall in Hayward I need to visit. I'll check there.

Nice to be back after having no internet for the past 3.5 weeks. I don't know how one can live without the internet nowadays.

What's new?

Whoops, forgot about that auto show. I went last year and it was pretty cool. I remember wishing they'd have some crazier stuff for the exotic/concept room, though.

It's been a pretty uneventful January, except for everybody quitting at my job. I wonder how long I should stick around. 8-[

Gaming-related, 92 hours into FFTA2 and I finally got Firaga. YEESH.

Who quits a job in this economy? Unless you work at Circuit City, where your job is as good as done anyway.

People who are just fed up with the management, I guess. Many of them had offers at other places already, which probably made things easier.
