Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I saw I had no chance of winning the argument, and I was going to criticize their way of handling clearance (almost everything is in the case unmarked) but decided not to since it's better not to have everything properly tagged.[/quote]

Sounds like an experience I've had before at both K-Mart and Sears. What a PITA! I'd like to know what regions/states people are finding the really cheap stuff at. I found MGS 3 Subsistence but at the 2 places I found it it was $15.97 and $16.97. Not $0.97 :)
 
LOL Monkey......you see, where they went wrong was to ask for a price adjustment, instead of just returning and rebuying it about 15 minutes later, once they put it out in their bin and it was under the correct price.

THAT would have been SOOOOO much easier, instead of making a scene like that, like I've done with guides in the past, reiterating that 'because they're on the shelf they should be sold at the price they ring up'.

It doesn't always work that way though. Making a fool out of yourself AND the employees at those stores may work and get you a good deal ONCE, but if the same people are working when you come back to try and get ANOTHER deal, they'll be less likely to help you if you acted like an ass and DEMANDED they do this or that for you.

I should know....since....well....see above.....

Since I've been a CAG, my life/work has demanded a lot of travel between the 3 major cities in upstate NY: Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse. I've never found a really amazing haul at any Sears I've been to, because they exist mostly in relatively upscale suburban malls that get a lot of foot traffic.

About a year ago, when Sears first started clearancing out a lot of good stuff, I found a good haul (Metroid Pinball, Trace Memory, and a PS2 FFXI HDD) at The Medley Centre in Irondequoit (a suburb of Rochester). This is a mall that's really on its last legs, in a lower-income part of the greater metro area of Rochester, so foot traffic was low and old stock was accumulating. I thought I could count on that location to continue to provide some killer deals, but there hasn't been anything good since.

I find if I just keep my eyes open, and stop at a Sears if it's on my way somewhere, I find something good every now and then. Just want to say thanks to the OP and anyone else who contributed to the list in the first post.

Found a 12month Live kit w/ the 200 marketplace points and billiards, thought I was going to pay $17 according to the list, rang up as $7 instead.
 
I was at the one in Evansville, IN and picked up two poker games for .97. Stacked for PS2 and World Championship Poker 2 for xbox. I never played a poker game before but thought even if it suck it should have a tutorial to teach me to play the game. They had a bunch of clearance jampacks for .97 also. They had probably 2-3 of the poker games left. It was strange because they had more than that but the others were marked 14.99-19.99 and when I bought the .97 cent once they guy had to key in the price because it wasn't in the computer.
 
Hit up my Sears again and noticed they'd rearranged. Found a couple things to test out. I found some accessories that had been marked down in June/July, scanned them, found their price was lower, and used that to get the service guy to take these out:

PS2 Rogue Galaxy - $19.97 (was marked $31.97 JUL)
DS True Swing Golf - did not register with the system (was marked $14.97 JUN - he wouldn't sell it to me unless I paid the marked price)
DS SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters - $19.97 (was marked $23.97 AUG)

Still waiting on Card Fighters to drop more. I wish that had taken the 12 dollar drop instead of RG.
 
fuck...my Sears disappointed me yesterday

Last time I passed on a case for the PSP for $4 thinking it wouldn't fit but now I wanted it and the price was up to $15...damn it!

Oh and for some reason they put all their clearance games under a surveilance camera and all the goods were taken out since the last time I was there, bummer
 
Just got back from the Sears in Lavale, MD. Confirming Rogue Galaxy for $19.97 (cause I bought it), and Elite Beat Agents for $16.97 (bought that too). They also had Pokemon Trezoi and Clubhouse Games at $17.97, I believe. I went in to return a $17.97 C:pOR (a double), and walked out with 2 games....oh well.
 
Hey phear3d, you can add the Dance Dance Revolution bundle for the X-Box 360 to the list... just picked it up at the Sears I work at (lucky me) for $34.97, only had one in stock and just so happened to walk past it.

lol... I work at the Sears in Champaign, IL and even I know this is far from the truth... with ANY store there is a chance that no price will be the same... whether its best buy... sears... circuit city... etc etc

The people who think that all prices are the same are just incompetent dumbasses who shouldn't be workin there in the first place.
 
For some reason, I think I missed out on a massive clearance. Ive hit 5 Sears, with them all recently having tons of pink stickered games at varying prices, and the last two days they've all been gone. Even the mismarked stuff. I don't really know what happened to it.

Did see something interesting though.

Xbox 12 Month subscription card (has some sort of bag/fanny pack in the back of the package) - $24.98 (50% off Oct says the pink sticker)

Oh... something else I could add...

I saw a thing at the register today to where we're supposed to take 10% off DIV 57/58 clearanced items. Video Games are Div 57. So on top of the clearanced price, you can also get 10% off of that too... I believe this only lasts until the 20th though.

My store has an additional 50% off the clearance price on the games.
Been that way for a couple weeks now.
 
I scored Viva Pinata (XBOX 360) $8.99 and Dance Dance Revolution Bundle (XBOX 360) for $24.99 at CC after Pricematched with NebraskaFurnituremart (they have it for $29.99 regular version). I got lucky on Dance Dance Revolution Bundle :) I may swing by CC & pricematch an extra copy Viva pinata for $8.99 w/ Penny guide at BB make great birthday gift ever :)
 
i went to my local sears and saw metal gear portable ops for $17. its not the clearance price but should i get it considering a new copy is kinda rare, what do you guys think?
 
When you guys want to check the price of a game, do you just ask the cashier to scan it for you?

I use the self price check scanners (if they game is out of the glass case, otherwise I'll print out the barcode), though some Sears may not have them.
 
I hope my sears back home has price scanners next time I get there. My Sears have like 3 Kirby Curse C, 2 Wario Twisted, 4 Final Fantasy GBA and a couple of more I can't remember. Its so easy to print off and use the barcode like I do at K-Mart.

Found a DOA 4 for 18.97. They also had a bunch of live 12 month cards (the old school xbox ones) for 24.97. Picked up a DOA 4 for trade and could go back for more or live cards for trading if PMed.

I went there tonight to see if they dropped. Someone placed little white stickers over the pink $40 tags. I figured it was an employee who was gonna buy 'em when they got paid.

I go to a scanner to see if they dropped...and they rang up @ the full $50 price.

seems they are on the old prices. When I asked, they guy said it was not a national thing, but store-to-store, so I guess it's YMMV for a bit. They also had other games that are higher-priced on the list that I didn't have them scan, as well as 2 that I forgot to have them scan (PDZ and Moto GP06). Bah, I was in a hurry before work.

And here I wanted a $1.97 DOA4. If anyone has a copy of that and some of the other "below $5 games", let me know, I'll pay for the game plus shipping.

It's a great deal if you find it between 14 to 19 which is the range in which the majority of people have found it for.
 
The lowest I have seen it for is about $27 - if I see it at all - I have not seen it in a store for a long time.

Yeah I finally scored got 4 xbox live subscriptions for 108.00 with tax

so I got one for each one of my kids Christmas:D and 2 for me

I just grabbed Tiger 06 for $6.43 after tax. They also had Rumble Roses but it was locked up and since I probably wouldn't play it anyway didn't have the guy grab it for me.

Edit: It's not a t-shirt. Supposed to be some type of nylon bag, I guess.

Found three of the same two weeks ago hanging on a peg at full price.
I asked for a scan, scanned full price, informed the staff member of the expired date...gal just shrugged...dammit, wanted the silly bag
 
I scanned a whole bunch of barcodes today and most of the games were ringing up 16.97 or 17.97, thats for DS games like Digimon World DS and Castlevania POR.

There is a load of copies of Capcom SNK card fighters for DS, how do I go about getting them to give it to me for the 2.97 price instead of the 23.97 that its marked, the game comes up not in system when I scan the barcode at the price scanners. Games are behind a glass case so I would have to get the employees to help. All games are mismarked and ring up cheaper with scanned barcodes.
 
whoa whoa whoa, Card Fighters is coming up at $2.97 for people? I saw a crap ton of those at Sears today. I had them scan it, came up $19.99.


Anyway, picked up a PS2 Logitech USB headset for $3.97 and a retractable PSP USB cord for $6.97.
