Official TEKKEN 6 Thread

I saw somewhere that the wireless stick runs on AA batteries. Can anyone 100% confirm or deny this? If I can't charge the stick using my PS3, I'll just be getting the game itself.
 
So who is going straight online when they get Tekken 6? I plan to be on at about 1:00PM. I then have to leave for class at 2:45PM, and wont be back till 6:20PM. Once I am back home I will probably play all night till 2AM.
 
Sadly, i could never get into the Tekken series. =/ I Have TTT and Dark Resurrection, but I simply suck ass at them... Anyone know if T6 is any easier to play?

I don't know. You sound very professional and older I guess. Nobody ever sounds like how I imagine. Setup was fine, since near the end, you guys were apologizing for not having like a professional setup or whatever. Kind of liked that, since it showed it was very much a fancast. It was a very good podcast overall. Nice to hear all the details about the game, such as the character story mode will be in as part of the beat'em up mode. One thing I would like more detail on is arcade sticks. For newbies, like what makes a good arcade stick and why a sanwa stick is better than a generic hori one, and what makes the differences. There are so many sticks out there it gets confusing as to which is better and why.

I have the Tekken 5 stick and it felt fine to me, but now I ordered the HARP3-SA, so maybe I will notice a differences, but for newbies that is always the one question that is asked and I can never find a straight answer except that sanwa is what Japanese arcades machines use and it's just better.
 
How good do you guys think the Hori wireless stick that comes with the 149.99 T6 package will be? That's a really good deal if that Stick is as good as the SFIV stick? Has there been any reviews on the wireless stick that's coming out?

I heard a rumor that you get a Home item when you complete the arcade mode. Possible Tekken 6 Arcade Machine in my house?
 
Don't kill me for asking about price drops before the game is even out, but what's the likely time frame for Tekken 6 to eventually go down to the $30-$40 range?

I'd like to get this now, but I can get my fix with Dark Resurrection in the meantime to save some money.
 
I wouldn't expect it to drop anytime this year, maybe by summer of next year. Though you can currently get this game on Amazon for $45 with free shipping. So that is already close to your price.

Thanks for the link. Seems like the GS I made my preorder at will have a midnight release. Works out for me since I have Tuesday off from work. Time for lots of Tekken.
 
Going to get in on the trade 3 get t6 free deal at gamestop. Getting smackdown vs raw 2009 free after rebate for both systems and soul calibur 4 off goozex for 400 points. I can't wait to get this game.
 
What do you know. The only game I am buying at launch this year and my fucking video store didn't get the shipment yet. What the fuck. I reserved it almost 2 months early and this is what they give me on launch.
 
I finally got my copy with a special Limited Edition Laser Cell from my video store. I am gonna post it in the fighting thread and see if anyone else has one.

Did anyone get the limited edition with the controller? My controller is faulty as hell. It barely works, I tried two different sets of batteries. A fresh pair and a fully charged rechargeable pair and the controller barely works.
 
How are the graphics and load times for everyone? Loading improved a little bit after an install. The graphics however look a little dated and jaggie. Still fun to play though.
 
I don't like the fact that it loads after every match and takes about 10 - 15 seconds each time. Graphics aren't as god as I thought they would be. Hate the game, putting mine up at ebay by the end of the night.
 
It's pretty cheap. The wireless dongle has a 1% work rate with me. I've tried for over an hour to get that thing to actually work and it keeps losing the connection as soon as I press a button.

I lost Alisa and now I'm stuck with Raven who has no items and low health. Shit is annoying.

thanks... I guess I'll end up sticking w/ the wired joystick. The controller itself... battery powered or rechargeable?

Hm...trying to remember what I did exactly. I lucked out I suppose. I just kept trying again and again. Didn't have as much trouble with Azazel as I did the fight after that.

Yeah they are. I just need to finish off the gallery, only 7 more to go & beat Nancy. I'm sure Nancy will take me a bit of time though.
 
is anyone having really bad latency issues online? the lag is destroying me...although too add to that, i majorly suck at this game.

Mind this i havent played this in the arcade so its basically the first time for me and what did they do to Devil Jin.....I feel like he is a really different from T5.....but then again...everyone feels different. how did you guys adjust to the new physics?
 
This game looks like a damn port.

For a fighting game, graphics are at least 70% of the game, and there's no reason for any of them to look noticeably aged or poor with the current hardware.

The music and presentation are all extremely uninspired, too, and the forced campaign mode simply bores you to tears with terrible cinematics coupled with laughable graphics.
