Edit by Io - The most recent (1/26) drops are in the very beginning of the second post, so look there first!

------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT -- Feb 4th
Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

Don't forget to post your trade wishes and wants in the Official TRU Trading Thread: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121672

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

I picked up Dance Dance Revolution - Game Only (Xbox 360) for $5.00! I was very happy about that. Although I don't have a 360 compatible dance pad. I want to get two dance pads but want to avoid getting it off eBay ( I've never purchased anything from eBay). Hopefully they won't be too hard to find. Any suggestions?

I talked to a lady I used to work with at TRU and she told me I could bring in all my receipts from the previous week and they'd give me money back.
Which will go to looking for more clearance.

Just a heads up since so many people bought games last week.

Was looking for Guitar Hero for the PC but Green Bay, WI had none. Have to travel to Milwaukee tomorrow maybe I'll find one on my way.

Got the following:

Guitar Hero 3 (PC)
Fire Emblem (Wii)
N+ (DS)

I kind of messed up, and spent more money than I really wanted to, so, I want to sell Fire Emblem and make a profit.

This does not count for the $25 wii games though, as they're now $50 again. (I tried this morning)

No, you don't actually have to bring the games with you. They'll return them and sell them back to you at the lower price.

But, if those are the only three games on your receipt, when they return Fire Emblem it will be $50 again.
Wasn't Fire Emblem clearanced to $24.98?
Along with Battalion Wars 2 right?
Did they both go up?
Nope, dude is confused w/ the other 2 games that went on sale last week. Umbrella Chronicles and Metroid 3. They are $50 now.

Is the original post or second post even being updated with new clearance titles? Today I picked up:

Dance Dance Revolution: Supernova 2 - $9.98
Dance Dance Revolution: Disney Channel - $9.98
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions - FREE

Picked up yesterday:

:360: Monster Madness $5
:360: Eite Beat Agents $5
:360: Gurumin FREE
:ps3: Juiced 2 $9.98
:ds: Phoenix Wright 3 $9.98
:ds: Phoenix Wright 3 FREE

I picked up these games but i didn't see them on the front page.

Contra 4 DS $5.00
Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure Wii $5.00
Juiced 2 Hot Import Nights PS2 $5.00

Xbox 360
Dance Dance Revolution - 5.00
NCAA March Madness 07 - 5.00
Meet the Robinsons - 5.00
Monster Madness - Battle for Suburbia - 5.00

Wii
Fire Emblem - 24.98
Golden Compass - 5.00

I can't find any info about "Dance Dance Revolution" for the 360.
Do you mean DDR Universe? Universe 2?
And I assume game only, not bundle.

It's universe and it's the game only.

Stopped by TRU over lunch and found out 3 interesting things:

1) :wii: Fire Emblem is still $25, though MPC and RE:UC are not.

2) I tried to get a :pc: guitar hero free with the B2G1 and the register wouldn't do it. The manager said that PC games are not considered "video games".

3) While I was being rung up, I saw a trash can behind the counter with a bunch of empty display cases that they put on the shelf instead of the real game. (PS3, 360, DS, Wii, etc). So I asked if I could have a couple and they said sure. They'll work great for games like Wii Sports, Link's Crossbow Training, etc that don't come with an actual case. If you've never done it, you can get covers for them on the internet and print them off.

Huh?
It rang up fine for me... (that is, after a manager changed what was a marked-down GH3 PC [damaged] so that it would be $10)

The ad specifically says excludes Computer Software.

So I found a new little podunk TRU while driving aimlessly today, and of course they didnt have a single clearanced game that I wanted.

As I was checking the back case behind the register as I was about to leave I glanced down to see 2 XBL Vision Bundles!

I of course asked to buy one, they were marked at $40 and I couldnt remember if it was supposed to be cheaper. Lo and behold, it was cheaper, it rang up as $20.98 so I picked up both. I just got my girlfriend a 360 to play GH and RB and stuff so now she has a whole year of Live too! And now I have a year too! haha too bad i already own all of the arcade games and the vision camera. Either way, it was a great find, walking away with 2 bundles for $45.32

I just read on the spine of the box however, of my vision bundles that the codes for Live and all of that must be redeemed by a certain time. The date is 6/30/08 I believe and obviously that date has long since passed.

Can anyone confirm or deny these codes still working?

I don't have personal experience, but this topic has come up before in various threads and I recall that usual response is that either the codes still work, or a call to Microsoft takes care of the issue.

XBL codes don't expire...

I used a year code from a :xbox: Live Kit that expired in 2005 in November of last year.

Hell, I initially set up my XBL account last year using a free 2 month trial that came with NBA Live 2005 which was released in 2004

Haha, alright, thanks guys.

I thought that was the case because Ive done it with countless old cards from the original Xbox but i didnt know if they changed it. Guess not!

I stopped in after going down for a vet appointment yesterday. Was hoping to get FF III, but as I figured they didn't have it. But what they did have was 2 copies of Blue Dragon pop out of nowhere. They were up in a pile of games one of the clerks were sorting.

Do some stores get extra shipments of clearance games in sometimes? Because I know for a fact that they were not there before. I scoured that store and a couple of others the a couple of times before looking for it.

Anyhow I got that and picked up N3, and Perfect Dark Zero LE that was sitting in the cabinet. $15 total, not to bad. Unfortunately there wasn't much on clearance in 360 and DS in that store. I saw Bleach & Phoenix Wright(I'm still kicking myself a little for not getting ) for DS and the only other 360 besides what I got was couple of 07 college sport games. The Wii section had even less. Funny thing there was tons in both PS3 and PSP sections, too bad I don't own either. If I had the money I might have picked up a PSP just to get the FF Tatics and Castlevania. :)

From what I heard from a TRU R-zone employee in the districts if one store is moving clearance stuff faster then the others they will usually send some of the clearance items there especially if they have large quantities of them like the TRU by me had over 50 copies of MGS3:Snake Eater because they were being shipped in from the other area stores lol.

Is the Buy 2 get 3rd free not working with clearance games anymore? I picked up Yakuza (x2) and Fable for $5 each but they didn't ring up with one free.

I picked up naruto (wii) blue dragon and THPS8 (360) and got Blue Dragon free.

I am not 100% sure though, because although 2 of the games were clearnaced, THPS8 wasnt, but I did get the clearanced game *blue dragon* free according to the receipt.

Original Xbox titles haven't worked with the buy 2/get 1 deal this week. The clerks I talked with thought that someone forgot to program these into the system (as most TRU stores don't have many original Xbox games anymore), so a manager had to override it each time for me.

It's a tough call...I'm wondering if I should go back or not because in the ad it doesn't say excludes clearance games and I can remember getting them in years past with these deals.

Thanks! That would make sense then...it seems as though Fable would have been the culprit then. I'll stop back and see if I can get my $5 back.

Good to know, my TRU only has a few XBox games but if I go back for a few $5 PS2 games, I was thinking of getting Forza for $5 to go with it. I wonder if Gamecube games have to be manually discounted as well.

Happened to me also.

Got
- Jade Empire Limited XBOX ($5)
- Juiced 360 ($10)
- DDR Universe 360 free!

Lovin' me these clearance deals!

Has anyone ever needed the games to do the price gurantee at TRU?

The dude at the register insisted I needed the copy of Castlevania X to get the $10 price...

I didn't need the games when I PM'd games during the XMas '06 clearance
